Appalling service

Had to replace the enitre roof and windscreen on a 4 year old ipace at a cost of more than £5k.
After chasing up for the last few months they still have not even responded regarding this.
A quick search shows this is a known issue with the roof bonding on these vehicles and should be sorted foc.
Doesnt seem acceptable that I have to replace the roof on a £70k vehicle after 4 years!

Avoid Group 1 Chester

On Thursday the 22nd of January I collected a 2018 F Type Jaguar from Group 1 Land Rover in Chester, after paying £24,500 in cash.
Whilst on the face of it, the car had no issues, it was only on Sunday the 25th of January, that I found that parts of it were held together with electrical insulation tape.

I immediately took this up with my sales rep Steve Hunt and it was booked in for inspection 29/01/2025 and it was agreed that the vehicle needed a new front scuttle and tail gate seal, all of which were to be carried out at the expense of Group 1.

I expressed at the time, that these issues should have been picked up on preparation for sale and during the service & MOT carried out on the vehicle prior to me collecting it.

The vehicle was booked in for 09:00 Thursday the 5th of March, for the remedial works to be carried out and I was informed that it would take the whole day for the rectification works to be completed.

At 15:00 that day, I received a text stating that the vehicle had just gone into the workshop. As I live 45mins away, I set off to sit and wait for the completion of the works. When I arrived, I was informed that whilst the vehicle had been stripped, but the replacement scuttle that arrived was for a left hand drive vehicle. I was told that the works would be completed Friday the 6th of March, but it now transpires that the parts have not arrived and I have not been given a completion date.

Although I have raised the with Group 1 Head Office directly, I have yet to receive a response.

Jaguar XF diesel 2.0: Una experiencia "Premium" de averías constantes y falta de fiabilidad
​"Escribo esta reseña para advertir a futuros compradores sobre la realidad de poseer un Jaguar. Tras adquirir mi vehículo en 2014, mi experiencia ha sido una sucesión ininterrumpida de fallos mecánicos, técnicos y electrónicos que demuestran que no estamos ante un desgaste ordinario, sino ante vicios ocultos y una preocupante falta de calidad de fabricación.
​A lo largo de estos años, el vehículo ha presentado un historial impropio de una marca de prestigio:
​Fallos electrónicos críticos: Sustitución de retrovisores, fallos constantes en el sistema Star-Stop, múltiples cambios de baterías auxiliares y cerraduras defectuosas.
​Mecánica deficiente: Averías graves en el turbocompresor, EGR, bomba de agua y, recientemente, un fallo total del sistema de combustible (bomba y aforador) que llegó a comprometer mi seguridad al detenerse el coche en medio de una glorieta.
​Desgaste prematuro: Un ciclo interminable de cambio de pastillas, discos y sensores que sugiere un error de diseño en el sistema de frenado.
​Es inaceptable que un cliente que cumple rigurosamente con todos los mantenimientos en talleres oficiales se vea obligado a asumir un perjuicio económico desproporcionado por fallos que comprometen la utilidad del vehículo. Jaguar vende una imagen de 'Arte y Rendimiento', pero mi experiencia demuestra que, una vez vendido el coche, el cliente queda cautivo de un producto con defectos de origen que resultan muy rentables para la marca, pero ruinosos para el propietario.
​Si busca un coche fiable y un servicio que esté a la altura del precio que paga, mi consejo basado en 12 años de facturas es: busque otra marca."

The senior management at this


The senior management at this dealership is toxic. The front line staff (even the receptionist) are wonderful but imo they are hampered by the dysfunctional decision making of their line managers leaving customers disappointed and dissatisfied. FYI labour is just shy of £300 per.

Bought a 2019 Jaguar ipace from New


Bought a 2019 Jaguar ipace from New worst car I have ever owned so far Geue has spent approximately £45,000 repairing the battery system first time it went wrong it lasted two years second time it went wrong it lasted two months third time. It went wrong it lasted two weeks fourth time it went wrong. It lasted two days absolutely diabolical. Jaguar are having so many problems with the 2019 model they are doing buybacks I requested a buyback on my car due to the massive inconvenience. It is causing me being without a call so often they offered me £14,000 which is less than I was offered the trading price. Absolutely ridiculous. The car is selling on eBay for £20,000 which I will never see because this is such a disaster of a vehicle but their derisory offer they offered me well. I can’t think of a polite way to put where they can keep that this car is probably going to cost them at least another £30-£40,000 before the warranty runs out. I will be better off just running it and letting them pay to keep repairing it and selling it for scrap once the warranty runs out we have owned Jaguar since E types. This is the last one absolutely diabolical car can’t wait to be rid of it but never on there derisory offer of £14,000 on a car that cost me nearly 60,000

Disappointed with Jaguar

Our 2019 Jaguar Ipace has since last year caused us somewhat grief . It has been taken to Jaguar garage 3 times in the last 9 months . (Main reason failure to start ) battery cells needed replaced . This one episode took weeks to sort out and no courtesy car was offered . This has happened twice since again no courtesy car . We are now again 3 weeks into 2026 and our car has the same fault and yet again we are renting a hire car . We have emailed Jaquar and got no response . This is costing us a fortune and feel very let down by Jaquar . The car is still under warranty .

As widely reported in UK media sales have totally sunk.
They saw sales go through the floor.
Sales plummet 95 percent.
Think Bud lite/ cracker barrel/ Harley Davidson .
Just stick to the day job. Sorry for people who lost their jobs due to frankly idiots in charge.

Funktioniert fast nie

Die App funktioniert fast nie - Geld ist zum Fenster rausgeworfen. Kostet nur 60 Euro fÃŒr 2 Jahre aber taugt gar nix da fast nie eune Verbindung zum Fahrzeug besteht und der Support kann da auch nicht helfen.

Shockingly Poor Service – Still No CoC After 3 Months

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Jaguar and their local dealership. For the past three months I have been trying to obtain the original Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for my vehicle — a document that should have been provided from the start.

Despite countless calls, follow-ups, and contradictory explanations, I am still without the CoC, which has left me unable to register my car abroad or complete my mandatory inspection. I am now in breach of local regulations solely because the dealership and Jaguar have failed to issue a basic administrative document.

Throughout this ordeal, I received excuses ranging from “the system is down” to claims of cybersecurity issues, yet no one took responsibility. Both the dealership and Jaguar repeatedly contradicted each other. I was even told that my case was “exceptional” and would be handled urgently — but nothing happened.

Only after months of pressure was a process finally opened, something that should have been done from the beginning. Meanwhile, I was passed back and forth with no accountability, no transparency, and no resolution.

For a brand positioned as “premium,” this level of service is unacceptable. I invested nearly €100,000 in a vehicle and yet I cannot obtain a document that should have been delivered years ago.

I am left deeply frustrated, legally exposed, and extremely dissatisfied with how poorly this has been handled. Jaguar seriously needs to rethink its customer service standards.

Avoid this retailer!
They’re great to deal with when buying a car — treat you like royalty until the payment clears. After that, expect to be treated like dirt.

The service department is understaffed, unhelpful, and poorly managed. No greeting when you arrive, no updates while your car is in, and last-minute calls just before closing to say it’s ready. On multiple occasions, I was told my car was on the forecourt when it was still on the lift (thank goodness for the remote app).

Getting hold of a service advisor is nearly impossible — I once called for 10 days straight before receiving a callback. They’ve also misdiagnosed and carried out repairs based on guesswork, rather than taking time for proper diagnosis, even after I provided a technical report. After replacing numerous parts over three years, I still have the same issue. When I raised this, the technical advisor Yasmin told me “some cars just have these issues and need constant repairs.” Not what you expect to hear after purchasing a car for £40k+. Now, conveniently after the warranty has expired, they’ve finally provided video evidence of the root cause — and expect me to pay for it. Feels very tactical.

Each “health check” uncovers a new “urgent issue,” while previous urgent faults magically disappear. I was even quoted £130 to replace windscreen wipers that click in and out — only after challenging it did they admit the quote was wrong.

For a luxury brand, the service quality is appalling — staff lack empathy, rely on scripts, and take no accountability. Jaguar head office and this dealership both fall far short of the standards you’d expect.

Cars are great when they work — but the aftersales service is shocking. Avoid this retailer at all costs.

Jaguar did nothing to replace or compensate

I purchased 5 cars for my company during 4 years (2019-2023). All with the infamous Ingenium engines. 2 engines exploded and Jaguar did absolutely nothing to replace or compensate the loss. They told me they couldn't help me and I had to sort it out with the dealership. And guess what, the dealership blames Jaguar for not being able to help me. NEVER EVER A JAG OR A ROVER AGAIN.

A great car Jaguar but Brand with worse service in and after warranty... Also service in Portugal - JOP PORTO,
the worse I ever met in 50 years owning cars.
Jaguar anymore...And brand wouldnt need that , transfering batteries responsability for owners, so much people claiming specially in EV cars.
And in the service in JOP PORTO they were not honest in my case I -PACE---BH-40-RX..Manuel Andrade

F Pace very poor reliability

F Pace drives well and is great on motorways, but with our Jan 18 model we have in the last 3 years had 5 issues with various aspects requiring between 1k and 3k of repairs each time (total >10k). More often than not this has had something to do with emissions (diesel engine). I complained to Jaguar HQ and they were pretty unsympathetic. I suspect the car should have been recalled but wasn’t. Will never touch the brand again (have a 3 series touring which by contrast has been a dream of reliability). Very disappointing as owning a Jag was (and I say WAS) a dream once upon a time.

Gott weiss wir fahren das Fahrzeug nicht sportlich. Alle Services in der Vertragswerkstatt beim Hersteller. Diese halten uns fÌr Idioten was wir sogar schriftlich beweisen können. Das schlechteste Fahrzeug und der schlechteste Service welchen wir je erlebt haben. Es grenzt schon alles an Betrug und Diebstahl.

Warning avoid -10/10 if I could

I strongly advise others to stay away from this JLR brand. I purchased a 2021 I-Pace, and it has been the worst decision I’ve ever made. The vehicle has required three battery cell replacements, and I am still waiting for the third appointment to be booked. The delays have been unacceptable—taking 9 months, then 3 months, then 5 months for each replacement.

To make matters worse, the service at the Leicester dealership (Marshall) has been extremely poor and unhelpful throughout this entire process.

My experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I would caution anyone considering this brand to think twice before making a purchase.
