The flights are mostly delayed. The legroom is unbelievably narrow especially for tall people. The food is disaster. The staff are rude and seems they care the least and consider economy class passengers low class. Their website is terrible too. It crashes...

I wanted to share my horrible experience with Tripsta.com and help fellow American and Indian Travellers not to get cheated by these cheap sites like âTripsta.comâ.
I have purchased 4 tickets for the summer of 2018 from US to India. As usually I started by googling âcheap tickets from US to Indiaâ. There were bunch of sites shown up and I see that trips gave me some what reasonable price.(But there were some other cheap fare sites and some how by bad luck I choose tripsta.com.
We intend to book 4 tickets and we booked them from SFO to Hyderabad. Whole booking was done and we got confirmation mail from tripsta.com. Later after 5 hours, my wife and I realized that there was a typo in my first name.
Here goes my name correction saga and how cheap trips.com people were with us and how they cheated us. Life starts normally and goes smooth till we bump in to some cheap mentality horrible sites like trips.com baits you. I wanted to be as more detailed as possible so that gullible passengers will not be robed by thugs like triplsta.com sites.

Timeline: 12:45 AM PST on 2/8/2018: Booking was done for four tickets from SF to Hyderabad.
1st point: Waste of Time for every call:
When we tried reserving seats, then my wife realized that there was a typo in my first name we were missing one letter in my first name.
When my wife noticed that there was a typo in my first name, she tried calling trips.com at +1(646)934-6809. The usual frickin painful process of some one answering your call is any where from 30 minutes to 45 minutes since you started your call and they donât tell you how long to wait. I hate these kind of calls. Here is one simple rule of thumb: âIf you donât have resources, then please donât start so called flight booking business and start treating customers like crap like tripsta.com and Jetairways does. Other booking sites similar to tripsta.com, please STOP wasting customers time and moneyâ.

2nd point: Cheating gullible customers and misguiding them
Finally after 45 minutes of horrible waiting time, one customer service guy answered call. The guy started recommending us that we need to send my passport copy to them. The way you do is there is an online form at tripsta.com and you will enter details and attach your passport copy. My wife tried to send the details using the form provided at tripsta.com contact us link. Immediately we will get a response to your mail address like this from the website.
âYour message to US_Flights_at_inexso.tripsta.net couldn't be delivered.
When Office 365 tried to send your message, the receiving email server outside Office 365 reported an errorâ.
what I simply did is submitted the form that was given at tripsta.com and I got that above message.
She tried multiple times and got the same response again and again.
Timeline: 20:00 hours PST on 2/9/2018
Then that evening I came from long day at work to home. My wife summarized me over tea time on what is going on and about the typo in my first name.
I was again on call with these guys and my call was answered again after 45 minutes since I started my call (what a waste of time tripsta.com, I pity you and may god bless you to correct yourself the way you treat customers).
So at 9:00 Pm PST, one lady answered my call and she told me that they are still waiting on the documentation from us. Then I explained the above mentioned problem that how the form submission was giving the error and we could not proceed further as we were left with no clue than the above mentioned office 365 problem at Tripsta.com. Then she recommended that they will send a private email to me and I need to respond to that email only with the documentation attachment.
Timeline: 23:00 hours PST on 2/9/2018
We sent the response to that email attaching my passport.

I got response from tripsta.com indicating that
âDear Mr. *****,Thank you for your email.We would like to inform you that we have already forwarded your request to Jet Airways, regarding your booking F95675286 .As soon as we receive their reply, we will contact you to inform you accordingly.Should you require any further information we can be contacted on +1(646)934-6809. Our passenger service center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For urgent inquiries please contact our call center. Thanks again for choosing tripsta. As I chatted with these non-sense guys till late night, I went to bed late on 2/9/2018 and woke by 8:00 AM. My wife was kind enough to update me about the above reply i got from Tripsta.com. I was furious about tripsta.com response and irresponsible Jetairways.
The waiting time saga in the call as usual continued from 09:00 hours till 09:45 AM. I informed my boss that I am running little bit delay because I was dealing with some cheaters like tripsta.com sites and cheap airlines like Jetairways.
I told the customer service guy that I am not going to take a risk of traveling with typo in my first name. I told them that I wanted to cancel my ticket from four tickets. Then I was again told that I will be placed on hold for some time and I was wise enough this time to stop that guy and asked him exactly how many minutes I need to wait and was told only I need to wait for 5 minutes. I could not believe that I am going to get a solution for my problem in next 5 minutes and I was happy for a while soon enough that I released that I lost my money. Here are the details..
I was informed that âAs per fine prints in the agreement, you will not get any money as you booked with us.â. That was shocker for me and I really was mad at tripsta.com for ruining my happy days with a simple wrong booking at fraudulent site like tripsta.com. I intend to save money by smart search at Google and booking at tripsta.com. But that booking turned out to be costly mistake of a typo in my first name and it is a total waste of time and money for me and my family. I hated that typo and even heated tripsta.com and jetairways for not giving me an option to correct my typo, but they(both tripsta.com and Jetairways) were clearly intended to grub customers money for any simple mistake they do.
So in a nutshell, I booked three tickets for the money of four tickets.
Actively seeking legal advise to fight these guys out. I am not going to leave them, Not because of the typo mistake I did, but the way these guys grubbed money from gullible customers.
Lessons learned:
Donât book tickets through tripsta.com & Donât fly using Jetairways anywhere in future. Never again in my life. Done with both of tripsta.com and Jetairways. I am done with these two and I hope someone will get benefited with my experience.

We are regular customer of jet airways and always finding issue with delayed flights. This time I paid extra money to go to Vadodara in the morning so that me and my daughter can enjoy precious time with family on kite flying day. As I finished security check, I have been told that flight is delayed by almost three hours and nothing jet airways can do about it. Lady on the counter near the gate was not at all helpful. She was asking if I need a refund and take another flight to Vadodara. As an international transit customer and with very young child, I was having no option but to wait when they announce the flight for Vadodara. I reached Vadodara around 13-30. More than 3 hours delayed but no apologies from jet airways. Same way while I was coming back all flights, Vadodara to Mumbai and Mumbai to LHR were delayed for more than 2 hours. I understand sometime there is a technical issue but not all the time. It is very difficult to travel and with delays when you have young child with you. Jet airways should do something better about it!!!!
Extremely poor customer service
Extremely poor customer service, call centre employees very rude. I was told repeatedly "Ma'am it's not our system's fault, it's YOUR fault." - Who talks like that to paying customers, even if it is their fault (which, in my case, it absolutely was NOT.)
They have put in place a very dodgy IVR system, which skips steps, and is unable to take card payments in spite of multiple attempts, and they have no other back up to take payments- they send you instead to their counter at the airport, which could be 25-30 km away, but they couldn't care less. Simply Google 'Jet Airways complaints' to get an insight into how very poor their customer service really is. Some of the horror stories will make you vow never to take this sorry excuse for an airline again.
Insufficient leg room to sit straight and take the brace position
We were booked on return flights to Katmandu and booked specific seats for journey comfort fow which we were charged extra. We did not get these seats and had to threaten legal action on return to get our money back. The leg room in the seats allocated was far too little for comfort for ma at 5'6" tall. My husband is 6' tall and could not sit with his legs in front of him. He had to sit with his legs pointing diagonally into the aisle. We were not able to take brace position in the event of an accident which I believe is in direct contravention of airline regulations. We previously had a good experience with jet in 2011 but this was entirely negated by this experience, Never again.

I will never ever fly jet airways again. Very disappointed service before flying with them. I already paid £500 each for two ticket . I am insulting diabetic I need seat with long leg room. They want to charge me £40 each leg of our journey makeing total of £160 . Is this high way robbery or not. So disappointed and rubbish jet airways.

5 hrs delay as everybody know , when asked the flight staff regarding this at Heathrow they said you can speak with ground staff and as expected there was no ground staff either outside the flight or immigration or at the luggage collection point . You were just trying to give fake assurance to everyone that this problem will be dealt. I missed my last train had to book a cab.
Reached home at almost 2 in the morning .

I missed my 1:45 am flight so did some other passengers with me. When i asked them for adjusting the ticket with the next flight and i am ready to pay whatever extra money required ,the staff told me that money will get reimbursed , for now i have to pay â¹13000, i asked them that their flight is already going through over booking still they didnt bother to do the same,they finally told me that the money of the previous ticket will get reimbursed but i have no clue whether it really will or not. Corporate fraud, cheats and appalling customer service
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation came out with a circular stating that flights in and out of Delhi Airport will no longer charge User Development Fee (UDF) and will have to refund the ones already booked and charged prior to the notice within 30 days. It has been more than two months and Jet Airways has blatantly refused to refund the money, in gross violation of the DGCA. Not just that, they have blocked me on facebook for raising this issue multiple times and have stopped responding on other media completely. I will be taking the issue up with the DGCA directly. I would also like to mention that I also contacted Vistara for the same UDF refund and it got processed within five days of my complaint.
Jet Airways, you've lost my trust.
Jet airways have worked hard in the last few years to gain the passenger base, and now that they have gained it, looks like they are no more interested in customer service. The greed (of selling seats) is soooo much that they don't care if families are split, expecting children to travel seated away from parents, surrounded by strangers on the flight.
I had to deny boarding, and the next flight was after 36 hours (1 and a half day) and Jet didn't bother to compensate at all. I had to book a hotel in Mumbai, for the family, spent on taxis.
There is no action when I reported the incident to their twitter handle, which explains how careful Jet are, with their public image as well.
And all this when their tickets are costlier than BA, AI, and many reputed middle east airlines. You have lost my trust, Jet Airways.

Lost £3000 worth of luggage
Lost £3000 worth of luggage and just ignore all attempts at resolving the issue. Offered us £500 compensation but we can't get it as they won't respond to us. They wouldn't even help my insurance company when they rang. This has been going on for two months now and is incredibly stressful with no hope of any resolution due to their appalling customer service. Will never fly with them again and suggest you don't waste/risk your money.

They mishandle my bags for 6 days, as i requested them to deliver those bag at home address on which they agreed. but for 6 days those bags were seating at Airport but nobody bothers them to deliver it. I personally collected those bag from Airport on the day of my Return journey to USA.
When I asked for reimbursement for 6 days of trouble they put me through & to force to collect those bags from Airport, they simply refused to pay by saying " for resident alien as per our policy guidelines we will not be able to compensate/offer any compensation for the delayed baggage"
