I would strongly recommend avoiding becoming a tenant in a Knights managed property. There is another review on Trust pilot where they have responded by saying they have no record of a tenant's complaint. This says a lot about them as a company. When it is convenient for them suddenly, they will have no memory of something including vital maintenance needed on the property you are renting from them. AVOID

Knights provided excellent service, Mr Ross has been fantastic , very helpful and professional during the entire renting process. Phillipa has explained all the details about our new property, she answered many questions put to her in an efficient, professional, patient, and friendly way.
We would highly recommend the services of Knights.

You simply don't meet honest and hard working estate agents everyday and when you do you want to let others know!

My experience while renting a property through Knights Estate Agents was excellent. I felt that my questions were always answered in a timely manner and with courtesy. When I called, there was always a person on the other side to attend to my call.

I dealt with Ross and Phillipa and both of them came across as people who care about the work they do and about people they service. Given the current rental market situation I felt they handled my expectations well and were open and transparent from the very start.

So, renting or buying, I would not hesitate to use Knights Estate Agents again. They provide outstanding service!

Knights was recommended to me by at least two estate agents when I was house-shopping, so I gave them a call and found Ross extremely helpful on the phone. He then helped me with my purchase decisions as I was looking for a house to rent out and his experience and insights were invaluable in choosing somewhere suitable that would work both as an investment and as a rental property. I bought two houses eventually and he was extremely helpful with both. I am now very happily renting out both houses through Knights. They provide all the support I need and are invariably calm, efficient, thoughtful, and professional.

Terrible agency, rented from them when I first moved from Kent to Sussex - in 2013 the property in Crawley down was not fit for habitation, the current tenants were still in the property with their pictures up and rugs around josh stick burning, turns out these pictures and rugs were covering holes, stains, pipework poking out of the floor, the josh sticks covering the stench of mould.

The house on the first day still had the other persons stuff there, actually more like bin stuff, 10 black bags later of someone else's dirt despite the agents at Knights stating it would be cleared and cleaned, simply didn't happen. 50% of the light switches were superglued closed and this was just the tip of the iceberg, this iceberg was bigger than the one that took out the Titanic..

I spoke with Ross about the issues within an hour of getting the keys and trying now to get out of this horrible rental, to which Knights took no responsibility - Ross told me he knows tenancy law more than me and go ahead and take him to court.. This was no one of those situations where I have to weigh up the damage this is already causing to life and possibly starting a court battle.. horribly so we stayed for the 10 months of hell and it nearly ended my relationship with my partner due to our quality of life being ruined by Knights. They simply didn't care as soon as we signed the tenancy agreement and told us to swing for it... Cowboy outfit and very surprised they are still trading all these years on

Update: Thanks for responding, Hmm you weren't sorry at the time so guessing this hasn't changed. One would hope the statement you have made is the case for your business and the clients you rent to after all this time, growth is nothing but positive. I am surprised to hear we were that "forgettable" as tenants although I guess not that surprised as you washed your hands of us the moment we paid our deposit and signed, we certainly and sadly can't erase our terrible experience dealing with Knights.

Because of the limited amount of property coming onto the market over the past year our initial buyer, who was found very quickly by Knights, pulled out after a few months as we hadn't found a property. Knights found another buyer very quickly and also a property that matched our requirements. Throughout the whole process the Knights team were patient, supportive and always on hand to offer help and advice. Would highly recommend them for both buying and selling.

Sold my flat through knights, very professional and transparent throughout - would recommend them to others.

I let my properties through Knights and have found them to be a cut above any other agent in terms of knowledge, professionalism and efficiency. I highly recommend Mark and the team.

I live next to a property that's managed by Knights Estate Agents. Have reached out to them on multiple occasions to address an issue but they are non-responsive and simply do not seem to care. If I was the owner of the property, I would want to know the details of the situation as it has a direct impact on them and could result in financial loss to the owner. Be wary.

If you are someone returning to the UK and want to rent, do not use this company. They are using a credit check company that will only accept UK bank account records. They are not interested in proof of income, bank statements from other banks etc. They don't even say why. They will ask you to provide a guarantor or the full 12 months rent up-front. Knights also took a deposit before this insufficient credit check, so I lost my money. I will never use this company again, I will be purchasing my next home with another agent in the area. The whole experience was very stressful and bureaucratical, the agents weren't pleasant to deal with and could be quite aggressive
