Just a scam sent a bill for £1,269.80 for rip off scumbag British gas, they sent for the legal owner, but the person they what to pay is not the owner she's 70 +yrs who has disables from a stroke, right dirty dirty scumbags both companies,

Robotic phone call from LCS saying debt collector for HMRC...jumbled so unable to understand...rang HMRC.... it's not from them, they are scammers...(LCS not HMRC!).. slight mystery how are they getting information.... trawling through company house? Insider?.... anyway be warned

This is a scam. They hope you will pay but are just as happy if you contact them. They want your details. When you get in touch they ask for information 'to get you through security'. They want full name, full address, date of birth, email and phone number. They don't hold most of this info so isn't of any use 'to get through security' just a phishing scam to get your details.

We have received many letters from LCS regarding a supposed debt to OVO. It was for a period AFTER WE SOLD THE BTL PROPERTY.
You cant get through on the phone.
I wrote several times but just got further demands, even threatening court action.
I contacted OVO, who took months to sort it out, and finally I got an email saying we do not owe them anything. A few days later I received yet another demand from LCS. Case no37533076

I've had the scam call to phone them back and press 1.
I enjoy these games but they're abit dangerous to loose.

Do not pay these guys any money you owe to your energy companies. This is a carefully orchestrated scam company that have purchased your data if you owe your supplier for energy then you pay them direct do not go and pay these guys anything. This is a scam company the chances are you will still owe your energy company. Just trying to help the public like ourselves.

I received a letter from LCS to recover a debt of £35.43 for a dual fuel bill, from a period relating to over 18 months ago, on a house we rent but which in that week-long period was in between tenants. I tried to call to dispute this - I had had no such bill, and it was too high for an empty house for a few days anyway. Eventually, after many attempts they said the debt recovery had been 'sent back' back to Eon. I called Eon. No such debt existed on my account. Eon have kindly sent me an email to state the account stands at £0. This is a scam. If I hadn't been adamant to speak to someone rather than do their automated payment, I would now be down £35. I am a little perplexed how they got this information if not from Eon. And now looking at other reviews online I discover I have inadvertently just given them my phone number so can expect to receive many more such threatening letters and now calls as well.

Shockingly unprofessional in tone from a “Ryan”. Was astounded by the lack of professionalism and nonchalance requesting private sensitive information from me. Disgusting.

They sent a letter after I just moved in and claimed the household owed money to the utility company. When I contacted and told them it was previous tenant they were looking for as I have on outstanding payment from my utility company, and I just moved in.
They asked for my details instead and looking at the review at Trustpilot made me understand their tactic where they will make you responsible for the payment if you provide this information, so I refused to provide. They really said to me that if I didn't provide the details, they would make me responsible for the payment even I had nothing to do with it. I reported this to my utility company, and I can't believe how they still running the business this way by intimidating innocent people. This company should be closed with this kind of attitude.

I don't understand. They ring you but then it's an automated voice and say there is no one available to speak each time. Option to arrange a call back doesn't work either. Muppets good luck getting what I supposedly owe you. I have all the call logs am sure the courts are very aware of your practice.

We have received two calls so far in two weeks with no explanation of why LCS are calling, no named debtor after giving security details.

We requested something to be put in writing as we thought it was a telephone scam 10 days ago, we haven't received anything in the post as of yet. 30/01/2023.

This Company should be shut down!! Letters sent out for non existent debts! Try speaking to someone?Try emailing and getting a response? Financial Ombudsman here we come!

HMRC made a mistake with my account (it had been paid on time). They were useless, and didn't fix the problem for three months. Then handed it to LCS. LCS phone me many times per day, with "if this is [company name] then press 1". When you press 1 you always get the message "all our advisors are busy". I believed these autodialers to be illegal. Either way, this company has wrongly harassed me for a debt I do not owe. Both HMRC and LCS have an attitude of "there's only one option and that's to pay" attitude, neither consider that they might have made a mistake. LCS is basically an understaffed old-style harassment debt collector - with not enough staff to answer when you DO want to talk to them. You CANNOT contact them! They just harass

They can continue writing and phoning me....2 things will happen like the rest of these disgusting companies firstly there letters will be ripped up and there calls will be blocked and if they try to come to my door they will have my door slammed in there face bloody hard they will never get in my flat...pathetic little men and company

LCS called me today in regards to SSE debt that I apparently have, I got a refund from SSE when I moved provider, so no debt exists, the lady on the phone wanted to do "security" I refused, she then got very angry with me and yelled there will be more letters and calls if you refuse! I told her I have no business with sse or with them, I phoned the ombudsman and put a complaint in there and am complaining to the FCA! Do not ever go through security with any incoming callers always contact the original business not a 3rd party company, and go that way, as imo they could be phishing for your information to do god knows what with!

I am receiving threatening letters about an amount owed to Bulb by my next door neighbours !!!!
This happened last year and following a mountain of correspondence I eventually got them to stop when instructed by Bulb. But now they have started threatening again……unbelievable
I have told them that they must be in breach of data protection rules by telling me what my neighbour owes Bulb and that I will take legal advice

These guys kept chasing me on behalf of Bulb energy who are also a particularly bad company from a customer experience point of view. I had gone into debt with Bulb for about 3 days accidentally - literally 3 days before I put my account in credit. They sent these LCS scammers after me.

They rang me and asked me to go through security - get that, they ring me and want me to go through security! Anyway, when I called them back one of their reps didn't realise my call was connected and was speaking to her colleague about customers saying "...I just cannot be a*s*d with these wa*k*ers anymore...". I then coughed and she realised I was there and asked her if she was aiming her frustration at me and she said "oh I think you are referring to background noise".

If that doesn't tell you enough about how professional these"debt collectors" are then I don't know what does.

My advice is too simply ignore them and block their number.

Received an email regarding a company that I have closed my account with and nothing is outstanding. When I called to see what it was regarding I kept getting transferred to different departments. Nobody could actually tell me what it was about before pawning me off to another waiting list. I called back and asked the first agent to just tell me what it was for before transferring me on - he said he would need to go through security with me which he didn't want to do. It seemed like he was just being lazy, I even expressed that I was very anxious and it would make me feel better if he could just tell me what it was about and then transfer me to the right person. He dismissed me completely and just didn't want to bother helping and transferred me. Useless system - I selected the option for a call back and I am still waiting!!!

Next to useless company using bullying tactics to chase an energy bill that is not mine. I cannot give a lower feedback hence one star.
