Nicolas was great! Everything was handled really well

Personally I wouldn’t recommend or use LPL again, my mortgage broker had them on his panel so I thought it would have been much more organised and professional, it got to the point my broker had to raise a complaint with the board before anything happened. We were very close to losing our purchase because of a few failures. If you do use LPL make sure you chase them up with on boarding, as per a previous review someone else left, we had issues with our passports as I sent them numerous times, had no communication apart from the odd email asking for passports and found out from our purchase sides solicitor that there was an issue (this wasted 4 weeks) we then got given a very incompetent solicitor who never responded to emails, was impossible to get hold of and didn’t provide updates, we were stuck with her for 3-4 months and after lots of complaints from ourselves and my mortgage broker we were given a solicitor who saved me from giving a 1 star review, Amy got the job done and got things moving very quickly, she also responded to emails and kept us up to date with what was going on, it’s a shame we didn’t get her from the start! This was my first house purchase so looking forward I would definitely use a more local solicitor next time. LPL are a good option if your prepared to constantly chase, want to save money and the property your buying isn’t in a rush to move out, my partner was selling shared ownership and I was down as a first time buyer and the whole process took us 5-6 months from start to finish.

They took 6 months for us to buy our property with no chain. We repeatedly told them a form they requested wasn't needed, but for weeks and weeks they told us they had noted it down yet they hadn't. So whenever we called back they said they were waiting on a leasehold form they didn't need. It took many many phone calls to incompetent receptionists and weeks and weeks of struggle to get to a rolling pace. EVENTUALLY our case got assigned to someone, but only because one time I rang the front desk and I spoke to a girl who knew what she was doing rather than the usual staff. I've spent overseas call fees calling just to have snails pace movement. I have actively discouraged people from using this service, it was atrocious

We were initially disappointed with the handling of our matter by the first assigned worker, particularly as the delays resulted in the expiry of the initial offer, which was at a reduced rate. We feel this is important feedback to highlight, as clearer communication and more timely progress at the outset may have prevented this situation.

LPL have been the most efficient solicitors I’ve worked with recently (out of 3). They sorted a remortgage for me and they’ve been organised, responsive and helpful throughout. I would absolutely use them again.

Overall, a positive experience as a first-time buyer. The process took a little longer than expected and I did have to chase a few times for updates, but everything came together well in the end.

Muhammad not only acted professionally on my behalf carrying out all diligence on the leasehold, he went above and beyond when I was experiencing severe delays with my ex spouse's remortgaging solicitos and hastened the legal firm. This helped me not to lose my new house as the owner was threatening to withdraw given significant delays. I enjoyed thoroughly working with Muhammad, who also kept me updated on progress of the leasehold conveyancign process regularly and responded to my calls promptly.

I’ve had a really positive experience with LPL while buying my first home. As a first-time buyer I had absolutely no idea what to expect from the conveyancing process, but everything was made really straightforward and easy to follow.

I especially liked the Digital Move portal as I could easily see what stage everything was at, complete anything needed from me and send messages. Whenever I sent a message or had a question, I received a helpful response very quickly. I was also always able to get through quickly on the phone when I needed to speak to someone.

The whole process moved much quicker than I originally expected and I felt kept informed throughout. Buying your first house can be stressful, so I really appreciated how smoothly everything was handled.

I’d definitely recommend LPL, particularly to other first-time buyers.

My remortgage took 6months to complete which I think is ridiculous, every email I sent for an update the reply was ‘we are waiting for the lender to reply’ and this happened constantly because LPL’s answer was we wait for a week and then remind them again, this scenario happened on so many occasions and I basically got frustrated and told them to chase every few days, they sent me a completion draft to say they are ready to complete and all of a sudden they kept asking me for section 38 and Bond ‘didn’t have a clue what that was’ the issue with a section 38 and bond which took nearly a month to resolve because they were dealing with my builder to get a response and then finally once they responded and said they haven’t got section 38 and Bond, they said they need to take a indemnity policy to cover section 38 and Bond but then they wrote to the lender to see if they will accept it and that process took nearly 2 weeks and I had to get LPL to chase the lender every few days for a response, once the lender said yes they took a indemnity policy out and while all this was going on my Mortgage offer was expiring and had to get that extended but they finally got everything in place on the last day of my original mortgage offers expiry to get the completion done, I ran 2 months into my variable rate and was paying double my normal payments, a mortgage that should’ve taken 2-3months took 6 months to complete, the whole experience was a farce from the beginning started with the onboarding, where I submitted photos and docs so many times and wasn’t excepted and finally they gave me a link to use and it was excepted first time, even trying to talk to the conveyancer was difficult as they didn’t want to speak because they said they were an online company and to keep the costs down they communicate through emails, so I was constantly ringing there help line and asking for updates and telling them to do something to hurry the process up. Definitely won’t be using them again, I should’ve payed few hundred extra to my own solicitor and got a better service but that’s what happens when you take the cheap option, lesson learnt I guess.
