Amber has been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. She is extremely helpful, polite, professional and approachable, and whenever I have had a question or concern, she has always taken the time to respond and explain things clearly.

What really stood out to me was her patience, dedication and commitment. She consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was progressing and that we were kept informed. Her communication has been excellent, and she has always treated us with respect and kindness.

I cannot recommend LPL highly enough! Having recently completed the sale of my property, I can confidently say that the service we received was outstanding, particularly given their incredibly competitive fees.

Our sale was far from straightforward and, at times, incredibly stressful. However, it eventually became clear that the frustrations we experienced were not down to LPL at all. In fact, quite the opposite!

A very special mention must go to Grace, our solicitor, who was nothing short of exceptional. Her professionalism, efficiency, communication and dedication throughout the process were second to none. Keanan was a fantastic solicitor to have on our side throughout our sale and onward purchase. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, always able to give us good, clear advice when we needed it. Our chain came with its fair share of pressures, particularly around dates, and Keanan reacted well to keep things moving and stop the process from stalling. We really appreciated his support throughout and would highly recommend him to anyone going through a sale or purchase.

Terrible service, zahra was on our case and she was awful, will never use you guys again, however Ethan I haven’t a bad word to say about once he got assigned to our case he was fantastic but for the 4 and a half months prior to him being assigned your company was terrible I will defiantly not be recommending you.

My property purchase took around 10 months, and a significant amount of the delay and stress was caused by poor case management, lack of proactive follow-up, communication problems and repeated administrative mistakes.

One of my biggest frustrations was simply getting answers to my questions. When I sent an email with several questions or enquiries, I regularly wouldn't receive answers to all of them, or I would wait an unreasonable amount of time for a response. I constantly had to chase the same questions again. I often felt there was little concern about whether my enquiries had actually been answered.

I was also repeatedly asked for documents and information that had already been provided. At one point, I was told my signed mortgage deed was outstanding, only for LPL to later confirm that they already had it on file. There were also errors in invoices/completion statements that I had to identify and ask them to correct.

I felt I was effectively managing and monitoring the conveyancing process myself, constantly chasing updates and checking that things had been dealt with.

I eventually raised a formal complaint with LPL, setting out the issues I had experienced. Unfortunately, I did not feel the complaints process resulted in any meaningful action or resolution, and the problems continued.

After almost 10 months, I completely lost confidence and requested that my case be transferred to someone else.

Based on my experience, I would not use LPL again or recommend them.

Update – 28th September 2026: Following LPL’s response below, I replied to them on 15th September and provided further information so they could identify my file and review the matter. Nearly two weeks later, I have still received no response or acknowledgement. Unfortunately, this only reinforces the concerns raised in my original review regarding the lack of communication and the need to continually chase for updates.

Unfortunately, my experience with Leading Property Lawyers has been extremely disappointing. I am now approaching six months into what should have been a relatively straightforward flat purchase, and throughout the process the communication has been exceptionally poor.

Emails regularly go unanswered, sometimes despite chasing, and when I do receive a response it is often extremely brief and provides very little explanation as to what is actually happening with my purchase. Most recently, after previously understanding that a Deed of Variation was the main outstanding issue, I asked whether anything else remained before we could proceed. I was then informed there was still a list of outstanding matters. I asked for clarification, a likely timeframe and for these matters to be chased, and more than 10 days later I am still awaiting a response. At this stage, I genuinely have no idea how close I am to exchanging or completing.

There have also been substantial unexpected additional legal fees during the transaction, including £1,500 + VAT for reviewing and approving the Deed of Variation. I appreciate this fee was contained within the original schedule of possible additional charges, but when I explained the financial difficulty such a significant unexpected cost caused and asked whether any discretion could be shown, there was very little assistance beyond being told that the fee would remain.

I completely understand that conveyancing can take time and that solicitors are dependent on other parties responding. My frustration is not simply that the purchase has taken nearly six months; it is the lack of communication, transparency and proactive updates throughout that time. As a first-time buyer, I have repeatedly been left having to chase for basic information and with no clear understanding of what is outstanding, who it is outstanding from, whether it is being chased, or when I might realistically be able to complete.

Buying a property is stressful enough without feeling that you have to continually chase the solicitors you are paying to act for you. Unfortunately, based on my experience so far, I could not recommend LPL.
