NEW LeafGuard gutters worthless
With the snow, the gutter system dammed up, causing 3 major leaks in our Kitchen ceiling. Mgmt, Justin Lopez said he'd schedule a visit 4 weeks out. GM, no longer works there, said he'd make things right. Justin told us he'd make things right. Neither happened. In the interim, the recent heavy winds blew all four of our downspout drops (horizontal, from downspout to grade) BLEW AWAY, ONE OFF THE PROPERTY. These were not screwed down, evidenced by no holes. They were never secured...I'm wondering why my brand new, extremely overpriced gutter system blows away when the wind blows. INFERIOR INSTALLATION STANDARDS, OR BLATANT NEGLIGENT OVERLOOK.
Leaf filter is a waste of money period
Leaf filter is a waste of money period. Will cost you more money down the road. I still have to get on roof to clean off gutters. rain flows over gutters and has rotted facia an soffit boards. Called company and they want to charger a service call . Biggest mistake I have made. Please Donât Use these !!
Do not buy gutters from LeafGuard
The product design is superior to others we've looked at. I hope it lives up to the promises guaranteed by the salesman. I think it's grossly overpriced and recommend paying a company to clean your gutters 2x a year instead. After 10 years, you'd probably still pay less money than installing Leaf Guard. The salesperson pressures you into signing a contract at the time of the estimate using tactics such as free gift cards, travel vouchers, discounts for posting a review and displaying Leaf Guard signs on your lawn; none of which happened. I'm still waiting for the 17-page hard copy of my contract. Installation was scheduled within 2 days of signing the agreement. The installers tripped our garage breakers and never told us. When they left, we noticed there was no electrical power to our garage. We called Leaf Guard that same day to complain and never got a return call from the installers or a company representative. We had to hire an electrician to replace the breakers in the garage and house. The price of new gutters just got even more expensive. The thorough clean-up after installation leaves much to be desired. We're still finding metal parts in the lawn and driveway. We specifically asked the installers to be careful of the landscaping plants, but they still trampled them. Work and materials have a life-time guarantee, but that only means something if the company returns your calls. If you must replace gutters, shop around and don't fall for the sales pitch promises.
Please read reviews on Google, Yelp, BBB beforehand..
I regret even inviting this company outâŠ
I regret even inviting this company out for an estimate. From the moment the salesperson arrived, it felt less like a consultation and more like a pressure session to get me to sign immediately. The price they quoted was shockingly high, and when I hesitated, it suddenly started dropping with âlimited-timeâ discounts, which made the whole thing feel very questionable.
What bothered me most was the lack of transparency. Simple questions about the product and long-term performance were either brushed off or answered in a vague, rehearsed way. It didnât inspire any confidence. After doing my own research later, I realized I could get similar or better work done for a fraction of the cost.
Even after declining, I received follow-ups that felt more pushy than helpful. Overall, the experience left a bad impression â overpriced, aggressive sales tactics, and not nearly enough clarity to justify the cost. I would strongly recommend getting multiple quotes before even considering them.
I called about a leak in the gutter corner and was told it would be$150
Called about a leak.
The company lies
The company lies! They promised me that local people would be doing all the work. The sales man showed up he was from out of my area, and the same with the installers again not from my area. I asked several times for the workers to speak English when they were in front of me. They did not! I think that is very rude! They did not use anything to insure the eve trough was strait or running down towards the drain. From looking at the eve trough itâs far from a strait downhill run to the drain.the sales man had knowledge of the product. He was extremely pushy. The bill started at $2600 plus tax. They brought it down with a little bit of haggling to $1150 plus tax when they showed up and I found out that they were not local installers I complained and have it now for $1000 taxes in. I believe I couldâve got it much cheaper if I had of asked. Time will tell what type of product this is.
This review is for the polite and knowledgeable sales representative from leaf guard Patrick!
This is a five star review for the sales rep. Patrick - he was very thorough in his investigation and the gutters that we have on our home now he was very good about telling us about the leaf guard system although we cannot make the decision at this time. We think that leaf guard is a very good product. We will definitely take into consideration the Leaf Guard Gutter System! Thank you.
scammers
These people are the absolute biggest scammers. You do not take no for an answer and you lie right to our face. Originally trying to charge $20,000+ minus $2000 for your gutters (labor). You gave a $1000+ discount if I leave a google review. I ask to test your product, and you have some excuse saying you can't level it right and some crap about finger oil causing your product to not work. It doesn't work. You pressured the hell out of my husband for a check, you got your down payment check and then lied to my face saying it was already deposited (not even a minute after grabbing it) when I asked for it back. Bank statement said otherwise. Then, your boss/representative calls trying to get my business and offered a $9000 discount. I asked why are you charging so much just to give a huge discount for business? Sketchy.
To anyone thinking of going through them, DON'T. They will pressure you, they do not like no for an answer and pressure more. If you happen to give them a check, CALL YOUR BANK.
These people are scammers and liars and are not to be trusted.
Down Spouts Resonate Rainwater Sound; Lots of Icicles
I had all of the gutters on my two-story house replaced with Leaf Guard gutters late last Fall (2025). The first thing that I noticed was how loud the down spouts were and how the rainwater resonated the sound. Then this winter I noticed that there were icicles forming everywhere. I never had any icing problems with my old gutter system, ever. I paid a lot of money to have the Leaf Guard gutters installed. I thought that they were the best product for me as I live in the middle of 40 acres of hard woods and wanted a system that would not need cleaning out. Very disappointed and I would not recommend them to anyone.
Wow!
Wow! Jose and his crew installed these high quality gutters in a few hours. They were installed just before it rained and what a difference these gutters are. Highly recommended!
Failure during heavy rains
I'm not a Leafguard customer but almost became one via Costco promo in GA. My experience with Costco installations has been good; primarily because of the post-installation correction service. The salesperson came to my home and said they'd been chosen by Costco for Georgia after a 6 months trial in California. Needless to say, the climates are quite the opposite and, thankfully, Costco allowed 3 business days to cancel the contract, which I did via both email and via fax (thanks to UPS). Why did I cancel? I'd read the Consumer Reports evaluation of Leafguard's 1 year test with them and it mentioned the rainwater overflowing the gutters in a heavy rain. Handling heavy rain is key for gutters and the CR report and reviews here reinforced my need to cancel my Costco installation of Leafguard.
Thank you reviewers who mentioned the performance issue during heavy rain.
Exceptional Sales Experience and an Even Better Gutter System
From start to finish, our experience with the LeafGuard gutter system was exceptional â and I can say without hesitation that this product has exceeded every expectation we had for protecting our home from Arizonaâs sometimes torrential monsoon rains. Having dealt with heavy seasonal downpours here, finding a solution that would reliably handle intense rainfall and never require us to climb a ladder for gutter cleaning was a top priority. Safety was also a huge concern for us: my wifeâs uncle tragically passed after a fall while cleaning gutters, so avoiding that risky chore forever was more than just a convenience â it was peace of mind.
Right from the moment we met our LeafGuard representative, we knew we were in good hands. The sales presentation was outstanding â thorough, honest, and incredibly informative. Our specialist clearly knew the product inside and out, taking the time to walk us through how LeafGuardâs one-piece, seamless design works to manage water even during extreme rainfall. The demonstration really brought it to life, showing exactly how the integrated guard directs rainwater into the gutter while shedding leaves and debris off the roof and away from the home.
What really impressed us was the combination of real performance and thoughtful engineering. LeafGuardâs system is made from heavy-gauge aluminum thatâs significantly stronger than typical gutter materials, with hidden hangers and support every two feet â giving us confidence it will withstand not just heavy rain, but also wind and our intense Arizona sun. Itâs also backed by a lifetime no-clog guarantee, which means we truly never have to get up on a ladder to clean gutters again â a game-changer for safety and convenience.
Beyond the outstanding product, what made this experience truly remarkable was the representativeâs professionalism. He wasnât just selling a product â he listened to our concerns, tailored the presentation to our homeâs specific needs, and explained every detail clearly without pressure. He clearly cared that we understood the long-term benefits â from preventing water damage to the roof, siding, foundation, and landscaping, to increasing overall home value and dramatically reducing maintenance.
In a market where gutter systems can vary widely in quality, LeafGuard stands out for its durability, function, and focus on homeowner safety. Itâs a solution that not only handles heavy rain with confidence, but also removes one of the most hazardous home-maintenance tasks from our to-do list forever. If youâre looking for reliable protection, expert service, and a system that simply works â especially in climates with heavy rain or lots of debris â I canât recommend LeafGuard Gutters highly enough.
Not a current leaf guard client
Not a current leaf guard client, but writing this review for their door-to-door service.
Had a gentleman come to my door tonight and was VERY pushy in trying to get me to sign up for a home review. WOULD NOT take no for an answer. He got so pushy I was almost sharing personal schedule information that I SHOULD NOT have to divulge. I didnât want to lie to him about our schedules but good lord was I about to get rude and straight up lie to him just to get him to take a hint and listen to my NO. I will not install leaf guard on any home (current or future) simply for this interaction. They should be ashamed for how pushy they are and getting into peoplesâ personal business just to get someone to sing up for something.
I'm not a leafguard customer
I'm not a leafguard customer, however, I have been in the basement/foundation waterproofing and drainage business for 40 years. Now retired thank the lord. I've seen many systems of leafguard installed over my career and have seen numerous problems with the system. A number of case's where the system actually caused basement leaks( that were not an issue prior to installing the system, as well as drainage issues). Once leafgaurd was removed the problems went away. Also, the system does not fully keep leaves and debis out. When it's dry and windy, yes, of course the leaves blow right off, but when soaking wet it's a different story. Plus the high cost I've heard homeowners tell me. Don't be fooled by leafguard!!!
Disappointed in our treatment.
The tactics they used to get us to purchase turned out to be false information. Also, they promised 200 dollars in gift cards which they refuse to send us now after we purchased the product.
One of the biggest mistakes I've ever made
One of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. Shame on me for not doing my homework before I purchased. Spent close to $13,000 on what was supposed to a good investment. Far from that. I have a flat roof home with almost no pitch. The salesman told me i needed 3 more downspouts to get proper drainage. I had never had a problem with my other gutters or ever felt that I needed more downspouts. He basically told me I needed more downspouts for this system to work properly. Thinking he was the professional I took his word for it. I must of had idiot written on my back and forehead. My complaint is since I live in California rain is hit and miss and as my flat roof sits most of the time dry as a bone, dust collects on the roof and when it does rain the dust is carried by the rain water to my Leaf Filter system and the rain water runs across the filter mess and over the top of my gutter and on the ground. I called Leaf Filter and was told that my year warranty was up and this is a maintenance issue. What happen to the lifetime warranty that Leaf Filter claims to have. In my opinion the mesh is far too dense and does not allow the dust to pass through with the rain water. If anyone who reads my review is considering purchasing the Leaf Filter system don't do like I did. You can find numerous reviews of dissatisfied customers for different reasons and there are several lawsuits pending. I hate to bad mouth any product but Leaf Filter deserves this one. They don't stand behind their product, not interested in resolving my issue. Pretty close to false advertising I my opinion.
The gutter system didn't work at all!
The gutters clogged up in 1st months. It was advertised that if they clogged, free lifetime cleaning them out. When I called to get them cleaned, they said it would be $100 to send someone out!!? When he got there he told me it was my fault they clogged because I had too many trees surrounding my house. 9 grand down the proverbial drain. DO NOT WASTE $$ ON THIS!
VERY DISRESPECTFUL
We have 2 "No Soliciting" signs on our front door and this company sends guys to our house who knock on that very same door to solicit sales. VERY DISRESPECTFUL.
Leafguard Burr Ridge Il
I had an exceptional experience with Leafguard. From start to finish they were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Celestine the salesperson was upfront, honest and I never felt pressured. He explained the gutter and the lifetime guarantee for not only the gutters but all the work done. Steph and the installation crew were quick and cleaned up after themselves. They found a problem on my house corrected it with no charge. The project manager Jacob gave me a follow-up call. Just love how my house looks and will never have to clean a gutter again. Thanks Leafguard! Letitia Williams
