Absolute nightmare experience!!
Absolute nightmare experience using Maersk SA. Container has been sitting in rotterdam port for over a month now with no movement due to damaged corner post. I have had to call the port and marine to try resolve the issue as maersk took zero action to resolve. 5th attempt tomorrow and no hope of it moving, people working in the port told me Maersk have no made any contact to resolve issue. Lost work and rebooked flights to be able to receive but now won't be home for over 2 months. Never again will I use Maersk or anything associated with them.
Container left south africa on 29th November and today January 14th still stuck in the port due to Maersks poor communication, about to be delayed another week (Possibly / more than likely more)

I had a sheduled pickup through Amazon that had a window of 10am to 2pm. The Maersk driver calls me at 7:37am to pick up - when I explained that I had a window of 10am to 2pm because our office doesn't open until 9am he said ok and hung up. They never came back to pick up the order. Also tried calling and the call always disconnects. Now I have to go back through amazon. What a terrible company.

I am a dealer with Hunter Douglas and I had 4 jobs needing to be shipped out of Salt Lake City to Chicago valued just under $15000.00. The first order took 17 days to receive and when I was trying to find the order I was told by Maersk that they have no way to track an order. Subsequent orders eventually showed up but I firmly believe it happened because I starting searching for them. The last of the 4 orders was missing for 8 days, we couldn't track it and then we were told it was an invalid number. How could that be when we received the tracking number from Maersk? The shipment finally showed up to discover the reason we couldn't track the order is because Maersk gave us the wrong tracking number. Hunter Douglas and I wasted 4 days trying to find this order when the entire time we had the wrong number! Maersk customer service was no help and could care less if I received my packages. I sincerely hope Hunter Douglas realizes that they made a huge mistake choosing Maersk!

Recently it happened to me to have a need of a container shipment. Having no experience before, I started with Google. The firs option suggested was this company, and I went to chek their terms, conditions, and services overal.
I was surprised to see that it was not rocket science to use this service, even though at the beginning I thought that I needed to hire some logistics company.
Maersk has simplified the process, and every physical person out there can order a container shipment.
The customer service was useful, and they helped me to complete the order.
Also, I need to mention that I checked other companies as well, and can say objectively that Maersk is a bit more expensive, but the service and support you get with them is no match for others.

This company pick up my delivery at Wal-Mart I purchased a TV to Wal-Mart a 75 inch smart TV with good futures on Nov 28 they were supposed to pick up my order on time and delivered on Dec 6 .making me wait a day before and after all day when I call Wal-Mart they told me they have the order since Nov 4 and they were running late on orders delivery. Them my order would be delivered on Dec 11 since they been driving my TV around Pennsylvania to connecticut. So today Dec 11 again my order wasn't delivered yet I call this company since I find out was Pilot or Mearsk were responsible for delivering my order today I call and someone over the phone tell me they have nothing to do with the delivery order since they can't control all the shipping all over the USA that my order won't be delivered until I receive a phone call from them or they would email me cause they're were a little behind 1 or 2 weeks delivering all the order .also if I don't want to wait that long they I can call Wal-Mart and cancel my order anytime other than that seat and wait cause they won't rush delivering my TV since they already had it on their truck for all this days since Nov 28 2023.
This company shouldn't be doing this service since they're are very incompetence

Suspected Corporate Corruption in Africa between Maersk Ghana and local agent. Theft from load, overcharging at delivery, damaged load and not willing to accept liability or accept valuation from the OEM and authorised Dealer for compensation. I was also contracted to Maersk oil previously in the North sea where they pumped crude oil into the sea during well testing operations and did not report it. This company is a horrible company with no accountability and needs to be seriously investigated and brought to justice.

If you're a contractor and researching on running freight for these people. Especially in the 3PL HOME DELIVERY. Don't. I ran for these people for almost 2 years. They bought out another company and it was good before that.
They are thieves. They take your money without aby proof of 75% of claims. In the last month they took about $50,000 worth of my money for faulty box truck claims, penelalties because it's illegal for us work over 14hrs, and product claims Even though we follow the scope of work. At one point they owed me almost $40,000 and took them 2.5 months to pay me what they owed. You have warehouse personal showing up highly intoxicated. Not Marking product when it comes back. Which the carrier gets charged for. To drunk to even know what's going on. You have other mangers knowingly assigning claims to who ever just to get credit memos cleared off their account. And the managers swear "they'll add it on next settlement" I have texts. Emails. Pictures I can provide any one who has any question on what maersk does. And I know it happens all over. They're currently getting sued by several contractors for not paying the workers. If you want to get bullied . Get charged. Work for free. Be harassed when you ask about your money. Nobody showed up during my scheduled delivery time.
I would give them a zero if I could. I called the company and they had no idea where it was or if it even left the warehouse. I was told to call back next week!

Mearsk is definitely the worst company I’ve ever used in my shipping experience. The customer service is non existent and they respond to complaints or queries without any care. There is no effort to correct their mistakes or even improve the transit time. 1 star is too generous

Definitely Maersk is drifting away from the most reliable companies of the industry, its service doesn't meet basic needs of customers, hopefully soon the company will nothing more but gloomy history.

Do not ship with this line specially if you have shipments bound Sweden. Slow customer service, lack of professionalism and this company does not take accountability for their mistakes.
They issued wrong invoices, which took forever to be fixed and resulted in us waiting 2 weeks to get our container released! demurrage charges occurred, and we were obliged to pay the last. Our clients were not happy!

Coordinated to have driver contact me 1hr prior to drop off after coordinating the time with my employer. Driver did not call and showed up while I was at work. Now I need to reschedule another delivery delaying my shipment 3 days and coordinating with my employer once again. All this stress and wasted time could have been avoided with a simple phone call
Never choose Maersk Sweden
I would recommend for everyone to stay away from Maersk Sweden.
They are slow, unreliable, they overcharge even public port tariffs, (please check port tariffs online before paying demurrage charges etc) and they leave a container on site that you booked as single trip.
Then they try to over charge you for their own slowness for port charges that the port never charged them for. (Because Maersk doesnt follow public port tarriffs but has homemade ones that are a lot worse for their customer)
Please - if you are shipping to Sweden. Do not choose Maersk.
