After writing an amazing review about them retrieving my head phones in left in the car I am now writing as bad of review as I can. I have been back and forth with then for 2 months trying to get my deposit back they have said its been refunded which it has not. I have asked for the arn number which bank needs to retract the refund they give me different number I have since gettingnthe wrong numbers tried calling back so many times which it just rings through then hangs up on me. Absolute joke not recieved a penny back at all and the company not answering my calls anymore. Won't ever be using them again or reccomending them to anyone.

Extremely Poor Customer Service – Still Waiting for Refund After 5 Months

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Maggiore in Italy. I originally booked a car in July, then cancelled that booking and rebooked a different one with the same company. Five months later, I am STILL waiting for my original refund.
I have called five times, and every time they tried to appease me, saying the refund was on its way and all I needed to do was wait for it to appear on my card. I also wrote several emails, and the response was always the same: “Don’t worry.” On my last call, they even admitted they were having technical issues processing refunds and that everything had to be done manually, yet nothing has happened.
Five months and still no refund? What kind of company is this? Maggiore is part of Avis Budget Group, one of the largest rental companies worldwide, and yet the process feels completely unprofessional. Even cancelling the original booking was a nightmare, you can’t do it online; you have to call and waste time trying to get through. Totally customer-unfriendly.
Never again!

When I brought back the car to parketing area it was checked by the responsible employee and cleared. Everythings was fine, then I had to sign on a handheld screen.
When I checked my credit card bill I relaized that the company added Euro 175 for a refill of gazoline although it was 100 % filled up at the latest petrol station before the airport.
This company is criminal and has to be avoided !!

The worst company for rent a car!!They overcharged us after we returned the car for some damage we did not cause!!!We sent them our photos we took when we delivered the car, they apologized for their mistake....and we still wait to refund the money!!!For more than 6 months!!!They wrote that they had an issue in their system for refunds and we would wait for a month, over than six months gave passed and still waiting!!!Maggiore Bergamo-Italy, I do not want to here anything for this company!!!They have to return more than 500 euros!!!Ticket TA8277067 from March still open.They do not even react to my mails.

Booked a car 23/10 (1 week) and decided to purchase extra insurance of 25 EUR/day + upgrade of car for 20 EUR/day. Later when I checked my credit card, Maggiore had billed me for: Fuel Up Front Option of 62 EUR. This makes no sense as the car was full of petrol when I returned the car. I have contacted them both on email and called them but no response. I have ticket nr: 89450438. Would appreciate if Maggiore could respond

I would like to share my dissatisfaction regarding my recent car rental experience, as I believe there were several issues that were not handled properly.

We reserved and paid for a vehicle in a higher segment (Volkswagen T-Roc), but were given a lower-segment vehicle instead. We raised this concern at the time, but it was not accepted. I understand that the exact same model might not always be available; however, providing a lower-segment car for the same price is not acceptable. For clarity, the Volkswagen T-Roc is a C-segment vehicle, while the Citroën C3 is categorized as a B-segment vehicle, meaning they are not equivalent.

Our reservation was specifically for a diesel vehicle. During pickup, we were informed that the car was diesel, but upon receiving it in the parking area, we discovered that it was actually petrol. This affected our travel planning and resulted in higher fuel expenses.

When we asked to add an additional driver, the fee requested was extremely high.

We also requested additional insurance, but the cost was even higher than the rental fee itself, so we decided not to proceed.

Unfortunately, this rental experience made us feel misled, and certainly did not meet our expectations.

I am sharing this feedback with the hope that you will address it seriously and provide a satisfactory explanation or solution. Otherwise, I will consider sharing my experience on other public platforms as well.

Sono truffatori. Non c'è altra definizione. Ho prenotato un noleggio con DoyouItaly. Ho versato un acconto con saldo alla consegna della vettura.
Recatomi al luogo dei ritiro, MAGGIORE in aeroporto di Capodichino, mi è stata negato il noleggio, senza addurre alcuna motivazione.
Ho dovuto noleggare con urgenza col primo operatore utile accollandomi una spesa, aggiuntiva, non prevista, di 300€. Sono truffatori. State lontani.

We hebben in september een auto gehuurd via Booking.com bij Maggiore. Bij het ophalen van de auto in Bari werd ons in heel slecht Engels verteld dat we een contract moesten tekenen anders kregen we de auto niet mee. Ik had aangegeven dat we al via Booking.com geboekt hadden, maar dat was niet voldoende volgens de medewerkster. Dit heeft uiteindelijk ervoor gezorgd dat we uiteindelijk de dubbele kosten betaald hebben voor de huur van een auto. Dus NOOIT boeken via Maggiore.
Ik heb contact gehad met Maggiore maar zij geven niet thuis. Zij zeggen alleen: je hebt getekend dus eigen schuld.

Attenzione non prendete mai macchine a noleggio da questi ladroni.
Sono dei truffatori.
Mi hanno accreditato dei soldi in più sulla carta di credito e malgrado hanno ammesso l'errore ho dovuto mettere l'avvocato perché sono 4 mesi che non mi ridanno il dovuto.
In più sono delle macchine non affidabile.

Ich habe sämtliche Unterlagen und Abbuchungsbestätigungen übermittelt. Bis jetzt keine Erstattung!!! Man wird im Kreis geschickt. Das ist auch kein Qualitätsausweis für CHECK24!

Professionista più che zero scegli un auto e non c’è mai addirittura da una scelta elettrica ti possono dare per assurdo in benzina quindi è come noleggiare dal piccolino sotto casa tutto fumo e nulla di ciò da quello che ti aspetti pensando di avere a che fare Con una grossa azienda. Non sarà mai più che prenderò un auto da questo gruppo molto poco serio che si chiama Maggiore

Pessimi . Non arrivano i rimborsi e non sono trasparenti nella gestione dei pagamenti

Fahrzeug wurde ohne neue Schäden abgegeben, vollgetankt, was der Mitarbeiter bestätigt hat, leider nur mündlich. Aber dann am nächsten Tag nach Rückkehr in D: Die Kaution wurde abgebucht. Darüber hinaus wurde die Kreditkarte mit weiteren 150€ belastet ohne jede Legitimation. Antworten bekommt man nicht. Reklamation läuft über Check 24 seit >4 Wochen. Finger weg von Maggiore!

Hire car broke down. Although the company replaced it, we had to take a taxi to the airport to pick it up, which cost 120 euros. They promised to refund this a month ago but we are still waiting and customer services does not reply to messages.

Réservation et paiement confirmés pour une voiture à Milan gare centrale chez Maggiore. À mon arrivée, refus de me remettre le véhicule sans justification claire. J'ai du louer une autre voiture chez Sixt a coté. Promesse de remboursement jamais tenue. Une expérience honteuse et un service client inexistant. Fuyez cette société !

Davvero vergognosi.
Ladri autorizzati e senza rispetto delle persone. Prima, mu mettono assicurazione a 45 euro al giorno poi mi addebitano 65 al giorno.
Devo ritornare con il pieno ma lo sportellino non si apre perché è stato forzato ma ho l'assicurazione....
Mi addebitano 220 euro per il mancato pieno e per lo sportellino dell'auto avendo l'assicurazione full.
Sabato sera, arrivato un ora e mezza prima, visto il problema, chiedo che mi siano dati delle indicazioni per come fare ma la, principessa, alla reception mi dice che è sola e non può fare nulla.
Lo dirò domattina ai miei colleghi e la faccio chiamare.
Si siiiii, mi ha fatto trombare 220 euro non chiamare.
Siete schifosi.

Scam and lies. We rented a car where the air condition was broken, though this was the first thing we asked about when making the rental agreement. We called the emergency number provided which was a dead end number. Upon returning the car, the staff were horrified and the station manager promised us that they had initiated a partial refund and that they would recommend a full refund, but that needed to be approved by head office. We have yet to receive any money back, over a month later, and their customer service are ignoring our emails. I expected more from a branch of Avis.

Esperienza pessima con Maggiore a Catania Aeroporto.
Avevo prenotato un’auto per due giorni con un costo totale di circa 67 €, già pagato al ritiro, e lasciato 220 € di cauzione.
Alla riconsegna, ho consegnato l’auto con il pieno e senza danni, ma mi è stato addebitato un importo finale di 144,74 € senza alcuna spiegazione chiara.
Inoltre, non ho ancora ricevuto la restituzione della cauzione.

Solo leggendo il contratto ho scoperto che mi avevano aggiunto un’“opzione carburante prepagato” che non ho mai richiesto e di cui nessuno mi ha informato.
È inaccettabile dover pagare un pieno extra quando il veicolo è stato riconsegnato con il pieno!

Assistenza clienti introvabile e non risponde alle email, nessuna trasparenza, e zero rispetto per il cliente.
Esperienza deludente e poco corretta, non noleggerò mai più con Maggiore.
