My Mate bike after having it for a few weeks - The controller burnt up and fried the wires as well. I contacted Mate order a replacement controller it’s been one year and a month. With about 50 or so emails and still no controller. They talk a good game and are very professional with their emails. But their customer service is a joke. If you’re looking to purchase a Mate bike I would strongly suggest not to ! They look cool and when it works there fun to ride. But if or more like when something breaks on the bike don’t hold your breath waiting for a part because it will never come.

havde ventede næsten over et år på min cykel da jeg så får den punktere den efter 1 dag! det alt for dårligt still jeg skriver så til dem og får at vide selvfølgelig dækker min garanti idag er det 19 dage siden dækket blev punkterede og har stadig ik fået nogen løsning ik nok med jeg ikke får brugt min cykel og den bare ligger derhjemme uden at bevæge sig eller noget som helst mister man ogs en masse af den tid ens garanti gælder det alt for dårlig still

What a fantastic time I am having with this MateX bike!
I am in my 50's and have some property in Virginia, USA where I have made some trails. I have been riding for miles and miles throughout my property in silence and joy on this bike. Don't like the noise associated with gas powered chainsaws or off road vehicles when I am in nature. This bike can get me around (I weigh about 220 pounds) no problem. Once I get going with the electric assist, I find I have to pedal so I still get a great workout on this bike.
When I am done on my trails, I ride up to the local store with my saddle bags on the rear carrier and get some drinks and snacks for back at the house. This bike has been wonderful and the only issue I am having now is that I need another one so I can have someone else to ride with.

De MATE X 750 die ik heb is heel erg mooi. Eind vorig jaar heb ik hem ontvangen. Bij de eerste rit trapte de ketting door of liep er van af in de negende versnelling. Ik ben onmiddellijk terug gegaan. Maar het heeft niet geholpen. Twee dagen later is de verkoper bij mij aan huis gekomen. Geweldig natuurlijk. Maar toch is het probleem niet opgelost. Nu in maart nog steeds niet. Ik ben inmiddels verhuist naar Breda. Ver weg van de verkoper en heb de MATE naar een lokale fietsenmaker gebracht. Dus alleen in de achtste versnelling is het rot.
Ik hoop dat de fietsenmaker het oplost.
Kennen jullie dit probleem? Maar vooral de oplossing?

I hadn’t really used my Mate bike since buying it as an early adopter so I had a few questions. I got a really quick response and all questions were answered promptly. I was able to finish the set up. Yesterday I took the bike out on my first ride and really enjoyed it.

Jeg er utrolig glad for min Mate Palm Engel cykel, jeg kan ikke have den for mig selv , både mand og barn tager den fra mig, tror vi må have en mere . Tak for dejlig cykel og super service fra Mate . Rose er altid ved tastaturet 👌👌

I ORDERED MY BIKE IN JUNE 2021. I RECIEVED IT FEBUARY 2022. BUT THERE WAS NO BATTERY. I HAVE BEEN GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH MILA THAT HAS BEEN CHECKING WITH UTAH WAREHOUSE FOR OVER A WEEK. I HAVE A TRACKING # THAT SHOWS " AWAITING DISPATCH BY WAREHOUSE" . WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Update. They keep telling me “Rest Assured”. But they can’t make a simple phone call to the warehouse to get a an “Honest” answer. It’s been 10 days that I received a tracking # that does nothing. I’m told the battery is at the warehouse. I’m not rest assured.

Update 3/28/22. I am still waiting. Still no answers.

It’s unfortunate that I have to go to social media. But I ordered a mate x e bike March 19th 2021. When you go on the website it states but now. I created my order and was told 8-12 weeks for delivery. And here we are a year later with no bike. The lack of communication on the companies part is daunting. I have had to reach out each and every single time. And that with the company telling me I would get weekly updates. And did I get those updates you may ask? No I didn’t. Each rep I’ve emailed back and forth with has done thier best. And has been kind. But the company not following through is was is aggravating. You see them make posts about thier collaborations and launching new styles and models. Yet I can’t get the mate x I ordered a year ago. After a year of back and forth and no resolution. Not even a tracking number NOTHING. I’ve requested a full refund. It has now been 10 days since I’ve gotten a reply. Would I like my bike I ordered? Yes I would. But am I tired of the false promises and lack of communication also yes. This experience has been nothing but a headache. And I will not recommend this company to anyone. If someone tells me they want one I’ll recommend they find something else. You hear about how recently they were able to acquire more capital. But still no bike to those who have been waiting months…??? Either give me the bike I ordered or give me my money back. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to express how I feel.

I ordered the Mate X Black Knight Bike back in november 2020 and received it 15 months later.
Now I can say it is worth the wait. It’s a beautiful bike! Quality parts and nice finish. I need to drive some kms to see how it holds up. When driving it will absolutey turn some heads.

I got a lightning fast response to my problem and the person helping me was more than helpful. Very quick recovery time and my bike is up and running again.

got a mate bike on crowdfunding. Then bought a mate X. First the battery didn't work. Took over one year to get a replacement. Then after two months the motor crapped out. I have now been waiting about one year for replacement. Customer service just keeps jacking me around. Every time I contact them they say they can't find my records. I send them copies of their old emails and suddenly they find them and tell me I am on a waiting list....yet they keep making more bikes. The bikes are great if you want to use them to occupy space in an empty garage. Quality and customer service is abysmal

I have never experienced in my life to be lied about expecting delivery date. And not only once! I have to admit that it is mostly disappointing knowing that Mate is a Danish brand and we are in 2022. Maybe you should focus more on logistics and less on promoting. At least until you can deliver the bikes on time!

Innerhalb von wenigen Stunden wurde uns kompetent geholfen.
Die Wartezeit auf das Bike war lange - aber darauf hatten wir uns auch eingestellt (Corona und weltweite Lieferverzögerungen)
Das Fahren mit dem Mate X macht super Freude- wir bereuen den Kauf definitiv nicht :-)
