Horrible (paid 880 Euro per night, trying to leave)

Horrible. Terrible. I paid 880 Euro per night for 1 room. They took the full amount for 3 nights before we even saw the room !
It is at best a “bad 3 star”. Trying to leave and we arrived last night at 20h30. The room is awful, dirty and torn down also with black moldy things. I shared photos with Mitsis HQ. The drinking water is treated and not drinkable with strong iode taste. Plates and mug were not washed properly. We will contact EU authorities for ail to be tested.

Second visit to Mitsis Alila in Rhodes …

We visited Mitsis Alila in Rhodes in June, this was our second visit after we visited in 2025.
Everything was absolutely superb, clean, comfortable, welcoming.

Last year was our first visit, the disabled facilities were exactly what we needed as my wife has reduced mobility. Room was fitted for my wife's needs, ramps for wheelcair were perfect and the staff were so eager to help.

Food was great especially in the a la carte restaurants, seafood saganaki and meatballs in tomato saude, the saues were both exceptional. If I was served only the sauce of these two dishes and warm bread I would have been more than happy.

Entertainment was very good in the evenings, special mention to "The Idols" performing brilliantly. Shaggy, Bob Marley, Abba, Rhianna,Wilson Picket and much more all performed to a great standard.
Our daughter insisted we sit front and center for their performance, they were so good we got my wife up from the wheelchair to dance. Absolute priceless memory!!!

All perosnnel were warm, friendly and welcoming with a special thank you to Mr Tasos (reservations), Calypso and Franco (pool), Christina, Georgina, (bar) George, Aris (restaurants).

Mr Savvas and Mrs Efi - absolute superstars, thank you for going beyond our expecttions and everything you did for us. If I was a hotelier I would certainly recruit them without a thought.

Thank you to all management and personnel and will see you again.

Food problems...

We are currently staying at Mitsis Village Resort in Rhodes, and unfortunately our experience has been disappointing.

One of the main issues was during lunch. We ordered starters, but they arrived at exactly the same time as our main courses. When we mentioned this to the staff, we were told that there was not enough space in the kitchen to serve them separately. If that’s the case, then they should not be presented as starters at all.

Another frustrating experience was with the food outlets. At around 5:00 PM, we wanted to order a sandwich, but the souvlaki station was already closed. The resort app clearly stated that it would be open until 5:30 PM. When we pointed this out, the staff simply replied that they close at 5:00 PM regardless of what the app says. This kind of inconsistency is confusing for guests.

The hotel’s app advertises an afternoon tea with pastries and sweets, but this offering simply does not exist. We specifically asked about it and were told it isn’t available at all.

Please make sure the information in the app is accurate and up to date.

We also ordered a gyros sandwich. Considering we are in Greece, we were very surprised that it was served without tzatziki. A gyros without tzatziki feels incomplete and does not meet the expectations you would normally have when ordering this iconic Greek dish.

Overall, the food quality has been below expectations and dry also the lack of consistency in service and communication has made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.

Mitsis Ramira beach

Mitsis Ramira beach is een top hotel personeel is super lief vooral Rosa die de kamer schoonmaakt niks is haar te veel en Linda ook super is er wat het is zo opgelost eten prima ligging perfect in 1 woord geweldig. Als je er jaarlijks vanaf 2015 komt er soms 2 x dat zegt al genoeg.

Too much on looks not enough on cooks

Having been home a few days now after leaving the hotel (mitsis rodos village) early due to a multitude of things I’ve decided I do think it’s only fair to share our experience.
Upon arriving we were in awe - it’s definitely 5* aesthetically. We got given a free room upgrade. Not sure why but we didn’t complain.
We arrived late and had the late check in dinner. Which was served from 10pm to 4am.
The food was freezing cold, stale & covered in flys.
We hoped the next morning would be better. We arrived at breakfast to a huge Que of one in one out. When we eventually got in again food was cold stale & this time the fruit had mould over it. Tables were filthy so was the cutlery and glasses. Staff were extremely rude and it genuinely felt like a free for all. We noticed at this time the hotel was extremely busy. There wasn’t enough loungers by the pool to accommodate everyone staying and resulted in many arguments over the 3 days we stayed.
We ventured out to source food even though we’d paid all inclusive.
If you’re going with kids - there’s not life guards at all the pools. Every lounger was crammed in with very little room to move.
The food did not get any better over the course of the next few days.
We were also not pre warned about booking the alternative restaurants which we found out needed to be booked months in advance. We decided to tell reception we were leaving a day early and would only require the room until 3pm - even though I had paid upto the following day they tried to charge me a late check out fee of 40 euros. We requested collection from our room with our bags as there were 5million steps between us and the reception. No one arrived. We called reception repeatedly and no one answered. We ended up doing the walk with multiple bags and 2 small children. At no point did they try and ask if there was anything they could do to change our minds. They really didn’t care that our holiday had been ruined. I’d really avoid at all costs. Such a huge waste of money 😡

The hotel in Canvas by Mitsis in…

The hotel in Canvas by Mitsis in Belvedere is the worst hotel I’ve ever been. It looks nothing like in the picture, the hotel is very outdated and rundown. The food is very basic and when something runs out, they don’t replenish it. The only positive I can say about it that the staff are very nice.

1067euro for 40hrs per week work in the Heraklion hotel, ONE OF THE WORST EMPLOYERS EVER! i am moving outside of Greece and i will never choose this hotel, the owner owns 28 hotels and still cant pay a decent salary!!! Wish the worst!

Cadre paradisiaque, organisation catastrophique

Habitué du Mitsis Summer Palace de Kos en Grèce, où j’avais déjà séjourné à deux reprises, je repars cette année avec une réelle déception.

Les points positifs existent. Le cadre est magnifique, avec une vue mer exceptionnelle et une superbe piscine à débordement. La literie est confortable, l’hôtel est propre, la qualité des produits est excellente, et le personnel reste globalement agréable malgré un manque évident de formation. Une mention particulière à Sotiria et Elena dont le professionnalisme, l’efficacité et la qualité de service ont réellement fait la différence.

Malheureusement, ces qualités sont largement ternies par une organisation générale très insuffisante.

Dès mon arrivée, j’ai subi plusieurs matinées sans eau, ce qui rendait les gestes les plus simples particulièrement compliqués. Impossible, par exemple, de me doucher après le sport avant le petit-déjeuner, ou même de gérer normalement les besoins du quotidien, ce qui est particulièrement gênant dans un hôtel de cette catégorie.

Deux soirs de suite, l’alarme incendie s’est déclenchée à plusieurs reprises sans réelle explication, ce qui reste préoccupant.

Dans les chambres, plusieurs dysfonctionnements se sont ajoutés. Minibar vide à l’arrivée dans l’une des chambres (absence d’eau potable) pour la première nuit, douche défectueuse, sèche-cheveux hors service dans la chambre 138, équipements vieillissants...Je remercie Sunweb pour sa réactivité après ma réclamation à mi-séjour, qui a permis certaines améliorations.

Le principal problème reste cependant l’organisation des repas servis à table, le midi comme le soir, dans le restaurant principal. Coordination très défaillante, commandes oubliées ou erronées, plats froids, attentes excessives et service souvent ingérable.

C’est particulièrement regrettable car la qualité des produits mérite mieux. Un buffet plus simple et pratique le midi serait probablement bien plus adapté, tandis qu’un service du soir plus resserré, avec quelques plats mieux maîtrisés et plus raffinés, permettrait réellement de valoriser le potentiel culinaire de l’établissement.

Même constat pour les cocktails. Attente excessive, erreurs fréquentes, et à deux reprises, des cocktails alcoolisés ont été servis à la place de boissons sans alcool, ce qui reste inquiétant.

En résumé : un hôtel avec un cadre exceptionnel, un fort potentiel et une excellente base, mais dont l’expérience est aujourd’hui trop pénalisée par de nombreux dysfonctionnements organisationnels.

C’est d’autant plus regrettable qu’avec une gestion mieux structurée, le Mitsis Summer Palace pourrait réellement être à la hauteur de son standing.

This was our second visit to Mitsis…

This was our second visit to Mitsis Messongi Beach and we were not disappointed. The hotel is clean and good value for money.
Irini checked us in on reception and was a source of information throughout our visit.
We had a beach front bungalow which was within 25m of the beach bar. The noise level was perfect as Georgia, Alessandro and Achilles ensured the music was not too loud. They and the lady preparing the food took time with everyone and made each day enjoyable. The bar is open 10-00- 18.00hrs daily and before and after that the sound of the beach is very relaxing.
In the main restaurant we were greeted like old friends by Panagiotis (Sous Maitre), Efitichia and Agis. Just watching and talking to them made you feel welcomed and part of a family. My 90 year old mother was admitted to hospital in the UK whilst we were there and their concern and attention was much appreciated
All of the staff mentioned are an absolute credit to the chain.
Our only gripe is noise from the pergola bar and the behaviour of other guests at night, but that was dealt with swiftly and quietly by the hotel.
Thank you for an amazing stay

NMitsis Rinela Beach Resort

Wij zijn in Mitsis Rinela Beach Resort & Spa in Kreta geweest.

Dit was een geweldige ervaring. We hadden eerst een kamer voor minder invalide gekregen maar toen we dit aangeven bij de receptie kregen we de volgende dag een update van kamer. Dit was heel fijn omdat we hier niet om gevraagd hadden,
Het hotel was zeer verzorgd. Elke dag had je iets anders aan het buffet om te eten. Als je aan het zwembad lag kwam er zelfs iemand langs voor je drinken te brengen. Ik voelde mij zeer vereerd.
Ook had je elke avond iets te doen. Ofwel waren er shows ofwel een live muziek band in de lobbybar.

Onze ervaring was geweldig en zouden zeker nog terug gaan.

Beware of unsafe stairways

In September I experienced a fall on the main stairway with no safety hand rail at Mitsis Alila in Rhodes Greece.
I sustained 2 fractured fingers and a broken hand and am currently receiving constant hospital treatment.
MItsis ignored my first attempt to contact them on my return to the UK.Upon the 2nd attempt they conveyed concern for my injuries and offered 50% off a further holiday which I refused.
They stressed on my response to their offer they complied with Greek safety rules.Apparently a main stairway with no safety applied is okay according to MItsis management.
I have tried to correspond further with MItsis but now they ignore my emails.
I would strongly advise any people visiting MItsis Hotels to take care on the marble stairways as any claim for potential negligence will be probably ignored.
I have nothing but praise for the MItsis staff but don’t expect much communication after an accidental issue if you book through a foreign booking agency.

Food awful. They mis-sell this hotel and location.

The photos make this look stunning, but don't be fooled. It looked fabulous so we paid twice what other hotels were charging & it is a rip off!!
Whilst the rooms were nice, the food is AWFUL!!
They advertise al-a carte restaurants, but getting into them is impossible. When I complained to the agent I was told I should have booked them weeks in advance - but I was not told, nor did I expected to have to do that...
The all-inclusive deal is not so good when it takes FORVER to get a drink - you have to wait for staff who take ages to get to you to take the order, and then ashes to bring the drink to you.
Worst of all- I paid for an upgrade for a sea-view beach bungalow but endediup in basic room, one row furthest back from the beach- but apparently, because I could see the sea, it was classed a beach bungalow - even though my room was in a normal block of hotel rooms and I was own the 2nd floor. There are NO bungalows!! & they fail to tell you that there is a main road between the hotel and the beach. The beach looks nice in the photos, but it is very rocky and you can't get into the sea easily to have a leisurely swim,
Overall, a bad deal and not worth the money. AVOID!!

Wir sind zum fünften Mal hier und möchten ein paar Sachen erzählen und Bereiche besonders erwähnen.
Ein wunderschönes Hotel, das sehr ansprechend aussieht wenn Man ankommt.

Ein ganz toller Service ist, dass deine Koffer vom Personal ( z.B. der Page Nicos und sein Kollege) auf das Zimmer gebracht werden.

Hat mein ein Anliegen oder ein Problem, kann man sich jederzeit an das Rezeption Team oder direkt bei der Louisa Gunther Assistant Front Office wenden.
Eine große Hilfe für deutsche Urlauber ist, dass Louisa Gunther auch deutschsprachig zur Seite steht
Jetzt zu den einzelnen Bereichen.
Main Dining-Room

Nach dem Eingang im Essenbereich wird man immer IMMER herzlichst empfangen. Die Gerichte werden sehr einladend präsentiert und im ausreichenden Maße vorhanden . Bei jedem Themen Abend gibt es nicht nur die Spezialitäten , sondern auch weitere Mahlzeiten für jeden Geschmack.

Alle Mitarbeiter sind uns positiv aufgefallen durch ihre Herzlichkeit und Engagement. Ganz besonders sind uns diese Mitarbeiter aufgefallen: Captain Nevila, Inci, Eduard, Maria, Katerina, Salomi, Manolis, Serafia, Katerina, Kiriaki

Bars allgemein

Hier gibt es folgende Möglichkeiten.
Lobby Bar, Poolbar, Strandbar

An der Lobby und Poolbar bekommt ihr nicht nur einheimische Getränke Spezialitäten, sondern auch Internationale Alkoholische Getränke sowie auch verschieden Cocktails. An jeder Bar kann man sich durch ein QR Code die jeweilige Getränke Karte herunterladen, was es für die meisten leichter macht. Natürlich gibt es auch eine Getränke Karte, wenn diese bevorzugt wird.
An der Strandbar unterscheidet sich ein wenig die Getränkeauswahl.

Ein ganz toller Service ist, dass man am Strand wo auch die Liegen kostenlos zu Verfügung gestellt werden, zusätzlich noch von zwei Mitarbeitern der Strandbar bedient wird. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich Michalis. Sehr freundlich, engagiert und leistet tolle Arbeit. Natürlich auch dein Kollege Nicos .
Für uns war das eine super tolle ausreichende Anzahl an angebotenen Getränken.

Wir möchten uns an folgende Mitarbeiter, die sehr positiv aufgefallen sind, bedanken.
Gentiana, Yulia, Yannik, Alina und Olga.
Ganz toll ist das es fast den ganzen Tag Süßspeisen wie Kuchen, Eis und Crepes gibt.

Dort ist Ruby eine ganz tolle und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiterin die mit Herzblut alles in ihrem Bereich zubereitet.

A la Carte Restaurant
Das Beste am Hotel ist das A la Carte Konzept.

Es gibt 6 tolle A la Carte Restaurants, die in verschiedenen Themenbereichen aufgeteilt sind.
Ellinadiko, TeXMex, Brunch TeX, Italian, Pan-Asian, Pita Burger und Champagne - Whine and Sushi.
Das Essen hier wird nicht nur von den Köchen Kreativ hergerichtet, sondern es ist auch ein Gaumen Schmaus für uns.
Hier sind uns besonders die Mitarbeiter der A la Carte Restaurant aufgefallen.

Herr Gkitsis, Matilda, Giorgious, Metthew, Anna, Aggelos, Dimitris, Daniela
Ganz toll ist, dass jedes Jahr die Speisekarte überarbeitet und verbessert werden.

House Keeping
Unser Zimmer 274. Jeden Tag gab es grundsätzlich frische Handtücher und am Abend wurden diese nochmals getauscht.
Auch die vorhandene Zimmerbar mit Bier, Wein, Wasser, Sprite, Fanta und Cola wurden jeden Tag neu aufgefüllt.
Für ihre qualifizierte Arbeit möchten wir uns herzlichst bei Lume, Zeta und Tefta bedanken.

Show Acts
Jeden Abend gibt es eine tolle Show, die sich jede Woche wiederholt.
Für uns war es am Sonntag Pedro Santana mit seinen ausgezeichneten Tänzerinnen im Latino Style.
Auch die Encore Rock Band ist sehr ansprechend und machen richtig gute Musik.

Wir können das 5 Sterne Hotel nur wärmstens für jedermann empfehlen. Das Rund um Paket ist in allen Bereichen top ausgestattet.

Wir einer mal hier war, wird die hohe Qualität des Hotels Mitsis Faliraki schätzen.

Auch der neue Bereich für Fitness und Wellness wurde neu gebaut und steht zu Verfügung.

Die Anwendungen im Wellness Bereich sind kostenpflichtig.
Neu auch der indoor Fitness Bereich, den kostenlos nutzen kann.
Die Fitness Geräte, sind auf dem neusten Stand.
Zusätzlich gibt es ein Tennis, und Padelplatz, sowie eine Kletterwand.

Mitsis Selection Blue Domes, Kos

We stayed at the Mitsis Selection Blue Domes in Kos.

Food and Drink very repetitive with a choice every night of Chicken, Fish or Pork cooked the same way. Food left not covered with many flys and birds in the restaurant. Not impressed by the restaurants, only the South American which was good.

I had food poisoning with Sickness and Diarrhoea which I notice from other reviews is quite common. My husband wanted me to see the onsite Doctor but the thought of having to stay in the hotel longer than a week I refused.

Staff were rude at reception with no time to help and had no patience with the customer's, however, the cleaning staff were polite and helpful.

I feel for a 5* hotel and the prices they charge this is not worth the money paid and I will not be going back to the Mitsis Brand of hotels - very disappointing.

This is our second trip to Blue Domes…

This is our second trip to Blue Domes in Kos , I can honestly say it’s been absolutely terrible stay for us. On arrival to our room we went straight to the mini bar with only had a few tins of fizzy drinks in , we had no water no tea bags no sugar, the next day after a day by the pool we went to use all the lovely shower gels supplied by the hotel to discover we had none, we sent multiple emails to reception asking for shower essentials and were promised they will be in your room today!!! NOTHING ever arrived, we ended up being given shower gels from other guests, then to top of an already unpleasant holiday one of us picked up norovirus which apparently was rife in the hotel . Staff seemed stressed out and rude , the cleaners are lovely and hard working, sadly we won’t return to this hotel again it’s been truly eye opening.

It is impossible to make a reservation…

It is impossible to make a reservation at restaurants, even the guides at the hotel say that it is impossible to make a reservation.
The staff are angry when you try to order a soft drink that you have already paid for through all inclusive at the hotel.
The only restaurant that works is the Solvaki restaurant, here you don't have to reserve a place either.

The pool area is badly stained as every second grate around the pool is cracked, there was one who fell through and injured his foot and leg.

All in all a very bad experience, in fact the worst holiday experience we have ever had.
was zero stars an option had they got it.

Terrible

We stayed at Mitsis summer Palace for 5 nights. And after paying near £3000 for 2 of us (plunge pool in room) we have come back so disappointed, would never go back or recommend.
The plunge pool in its self was ok but looked different to what was advertised.
The rooms were nice.
The guys who restock your mini bar walked in everyday and ignored the DO NOT DISTURB sign.
Food was average as best.. this includes the restaurants. Drink choice was terrible. Could only bottled water at reception!!
The evening was lacking all together. It claims you can go to any bar but you aren’t made to feel welcome, so you end up in reception bar which just feels tacky in its self.
The gym needs some serious TLC .. I didn’t even bother going.. excepted so much more from a 5* hotel.
The staff are rude & you feel like they are laughing / talking about you when you ask for something.
We were not asked by the staff when checking out if we enjoyed our stay or anything along those lines.
