Since installing a Mixergy hot water tank in July, I've been absolutely delighted with the way it's performed. The ability to use both a web-based and app-based interface provides great control over the tank both through setting your own schedules or allowing the tank to learn about your behaviour to optimise its use. I also love the way in which it's been "future proofed" in its ability to take heat inputs from gas boilers, mains electricity, solar PV and heat pumps. For me personally it's been the ability to use in combination with solar PV and a Myenergi Eddi that's meant that I've been able to generate all our hot water for a longer part of the year than I would have expected.
Great product and a great company that I'd be happy to recommend.

I was an early adopter with Mixergy and it has beaten all our expectations, the ability to heat just 10% and have a shower, or to use it as a heat store for storing excess Solar PV. in the middle of winter we occasionally use the gas boiler but more often than not the whole 250L tank is heated using off peak electric enough to provide 4 or 5 showers for only pennies. I've finally ditched gas and had a heat pump installed and my early Mixergy does not support heat pumps so I am keen to understand how I can 'upgrade' or 'trade in' my existing Mixergy with one that is heat pump compatible

I was looking to replace our oil boiler with an air source heat pump (ASHP). This would require replacement of the hot water cylinder as well.
I got 5 or 6 quotes from from ASHP designers & installers. Most offered the cylinder supplied by the ASHP vendor. I’d seen a Fully Charged YouTube video about the Mixergy cylinder solution. It seemed very interesting. And only a few pounds more than a “standard” tank.
I discussed the Mixergy cylinder with my chosen ASHP installer, Ecobubl. Martin from Ecobubl seemed up for using Mixergy as part of the solution. And amended his quote.
Installation took a total of 3 days. The Mixergy went in on day one, so we were never without hot water. The only extra item was running a wire/cable from the ASHP to the cylinder (in middle of house). But otherwise simple.
A 180L slim Mixergy was installed. Replacing a 210L original cylinder.
The Mixergy has worked faultlessly. Very simple to use. Predicts our usage. So we don’t run out of hot water. You can see volume and temperature of water via the app. Has a holiday setting, so doesn’t heat when you are away.

Great service from start to finish. I’m not even thinking about the hot water now. The system is doing it for us, so clever that it monitors usage. We have never ran out of hot water even when family have been visiting.

I've had my tank for a few weeks now and I'm very pleased with the cost savings and performance. It's very handy to know how much hot water is available at all times and I'm impressed by how it retains heat over long periods. It's also quieter than my old ordinary electric tank.

After an initial mix up with our delivery dates Dan and Imogen went out of their way to be open and transparent about the issues and worked hard with the team to get our tank to us quickly and installed.

I’m very happy with the extra effort of the team and think the technology is at the cutting edge of what we need in the UK to decarbonise our heat. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a retrofit or simply want to move to a more sustainable alternative to their current set up.

My elderly Mother replaced her dual immersion heater with a Mixergy tank and it was so simple to operate, heating only the amount needed for each day. The Smartapp is useful too for scheduling holidays and ensuring the water is hot on the day of return.
Installation was straightforward and a full explanation of how to download the app and connect to the tank given. Initially, internet connection to the tank was via a dongle, but later changed to a broadband router with much help and patience from James Fleming in customer services.
I'll definitely recommend Mixergy to anyone thinking of replacing their existing water heating solution.

James Hoople at Mixergy helped us in getting our heat pump trial set up, by replacing the (nearly new) original Mixergy tank with a new one compatible with heat pumps. When we bought the first one, we didn't know we were going to be lucky enough to get invited to the Octopus Energy Heat Pump trial. With support from Octopus (and Daniel Large of Solaris) James' help will allow us to take full advantage of the benefits of our air source heat pump.

We were impressed with the control and lower bills delivered by the first Mixergy tank, and the customer service and support getting it installed. We are both blown away by their generosity in swapping it out for the heat pump version. So, well done Mixergy.

Tank heats water quickly and is making savings already.

We have been very happy with the water tank but today we had a problem that was not covered in the user guide. Our tank had stopped heating up the water. We rang a technician who was very helpful and told us how to fix it. We had to unscrew the plastic box on the side of the tank which contained the thermostat wiring and reset by pushing in the wire we use for the pairing hole on the control to reset the thermostat. You have to power off the boiler first.

Excellent tank and excellent customer service. I have to say that I have not seen such a customer service in UK. I had other unvented cyclinder in my previous home and I was looking for environment friendly and one which can save environment by reducing the amount of unnecessary heating of hot water. I found this tank and have to say this tank ticks all boxes. We had some doubts that whether electric part of installation can become complicated or not. All went smooth on good friday except the part where we need to insert LAN hub on wall plug and not extension box. But imagine we got support from mixergy contact on good friday at 6 pm. This would have gone bit costly with installer , if we didnt get that easy answer.
I got system with indirect gas heating, solar iboost pv . All setup to convert my gravity flow to unvented has been done in one day with 2 people doing installation. Tank is well setup now and control through app is excellent, though I would like more features for this kind of more advanced system. One learning - am not very technical in electric connection but Pl note that at top when you join electric immersion and connection from iboost if applicable, it got single earth required. This seems shown on wiring diagram but installer did take a bit to find out that.

I'd been looking at the Mixergy tank for years since seeing it on Fully Charged and I have not been disappointed. I have a direct (electric) tank, tied in with my solar PV setup and SOLAR iBOOST controller, my hot water expenses are next to nothing for 9 months of the year as well as having really hot water available at all hours of the day. Setup was easy and the app works really well. Smart meter being installed next week so looking forward to seeign how well the Agile Octopus integration works and hopefully making those other 3 months of the year even cheaper.

Had our Mixergy hot water tank fitted a few weeks ago - producing plenty of hot water as needed and the tank has just switched over to the AI driven energy efficiency mode after learning our hot water habits for the last couple of weeks. All backed up as well by some fantastic installation and customer service, on both a remote and on site basis!

We had a Worcester boiler and Mixergy control unit fitted by British Gas about 12 months ago. I have to say we had a few little set of problems with the Mixergy unit but received absolutely fantastic customer service from both Ryan and Ren. Nothing was too much trouble they were always available even after hours. Thank you so much Mixergy.

I have had a Mixergy tank for over a year now (used with a heat pump). The tank is excellent, providing water that is always hot, even when we have already drawn off over 90% of the contents. The company is very responsive with good support and great documentation. My email query to them today was answered within 20 minutes.

Very impressed with not only the tank and how easy the plumber installed it but also the efficient and knowledgeable customer service.
The smart app is simple and easy to use and can be installed across both android and iOS devices. My parents are enjoying regularly checking the app.

Excellent tank, absolutely love it. I switched to electric from gas to reduce my CO2 and this tank has helped to make it affordable to do so (aside the investment). I've combined with solar and Octopus Go and I'm paying pennies some days for a tank of hot water. It works amazingly with the solar, I'm getting an extra 50% or so charge in Jan/Feb. I love the app, so easy to use and some really useful data on there. I also love how you always get really hot water through even when there's only 5 or 10% left in the tank. Would highly recommend. (Also works really cleverly with Octopus Agile)

Really, really impressed by the customer service at Mixergy. Our installers had set up the cylinder incorrectly (their error, nothing to do with the cylinder which should be super simple). Mixergy went to great lengths to track down and resolve the problem. Really responsive, excellent communicators and genuinely trying to go above and beyond. Phone calls, video calls, emails, keeping an eye afterwards. Super impressive and I strongly recommend for the team as well as the product.

Had a new Vaillant boiler installed by B.Gas along with a Mixergy tank in Oct 2020 to upgrade from old hot/cold tank to fully pressurised system. No looking back now as Mixergy tank (180 gal) heats up from zero in less than 100 mins and gives great pressure to all our showers. Beginning to see the benefits of their learning algorithm now as the system picks up the family routines. Best of all we are seeing a considerable saving from the combination of new boiler and more efficient tank heating in our gas bills. Fab new technology and so far very impressed. Well done Mixergy !

We bought a vented Mixergy Tank in early 2019 and cannot fault its performance. The extra smart controls are great and allow us to choose exactly how much hot water we want, with the option to set an auto boost when we are near to using all the hot water so we never run out. The Mixergy App is also really easy to use and shows how much water we have and how much we're spending. Highly recommend!!
