Nach meinem RÌckkehr stellte ich fest, dass meine Kreditkarte mit einem Betrag von 65⬠belastet wurde.
Ich habe telefonisch aus Deutschland deren Customer Service angerufen und habe â·diesen Betrag Zurecht beanstandet. Sie haben mir versichert, dass sie es ÃŒberprÃŒfen und mich per Email kontaktieren.
Dass haben sie auch gemacht und nach 2 Wochen wurde der Betrag zurÃŒckerstattet.

Rented a car from Denmark. Arrived in Sao Paolo Airport and went to the Movida store to have the car. When arrived, first car was damaged, then they exchanged to another similar car. After a short ride I found out that radio/GPS didn't work. Went back to Movida. They didn't have a similar car, then they upgraded to an other little better car. I signed the contract for 35 days, paid and went off. Almost 3 weeks later, Movida sent a email (to a wrong mail adress), that I had to return the car in one day because they now have a smaller car available for me..! (Renault Kwid vs Hyundai HB20)
I rented the car upgraded to 3000 km, now they want me to go many hundrede km back to Sao Paolo to exchange the car..!!! No way. Try to talk to Movida, but they don't care. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, IN THE END IT WILL BE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN USE A BETTER ONE..!!! Regards Brian from Denmark

Virkelig dårlig service! Fik to veste og ville bestille samme vest i en tredje farve, men de sendte forkert farve og er siden gået i flyverskjul. Når jeg lykkes med at komme i kontakt med dem, er der altid lige en detalje, jeg skal bekrÊfte - kan du lige bekrÊfte din email? Eller kan du lige bekrÊfte din adresse, selvom jeg skriver til dem på mail, og de kan se min adresse på både mine tidligere bestillinger og den bestilling, jeg klager over. Så lige pludselig får man mailen retur, fordi modtagerens email adresse er ukendt. LÊkker vest, men det er ikke vÊrd med alle de julelege.

Realizei reserva de locação de veÃculo no valor de R$ 563,04 por semana, identificada no site da empresa como âplano semanalâ, com indicação expressa de valor por semana, para retirada na unidade Campus PUC â Porto Alegre. Ao comparecer à loja em 13/02/2026, fui informado de que não seria possÃvel iniciar o plano semanal conforme a reserva, sendo necessário contratar perÃodos fracionados. Ao retornar posteriormente, novamente fui orientado a contratar novos perÃodos fracionados e informado de que o valor semanal seria diferente do apresentado inicialmente. Posteriormente, recebi a explicação de que o valor da reserva corresponderia a seis diárias, e não sete, informação que não constava de forma clara no momento da contratação. Durante a vigência do contrato também enfrentei divergências de informação em relação ao atendimento do sinistro ocorrido em 21/02/2026, bem como sobre a cobertura contratual. Essas inconsistências, somadas à ausência de clareza nas orientações recebidas, resultaram em insegurança, desgaste e no encerramento antecipado do contrato.

Ils lui ont aussi dit que la différence serait remboursé sur la carte de crédit avec laquelle elle avait payé. 1 mois aprÚs ils nâont toujours pas remboursé et elle a beaucoup de mal à récupérer son argent.

We used Movida when we went to Portugal in the summer of 2025. We had been to Portugal 5 times before this. They insisted that I needed to buy car insurance in Portugal before I even got the car. I told the guy he was out of his mind, I know what I am doing. I never complain or argue with travel companies, but I could sense this guy thought he had a "dumb American" on his hands - he was wrong. After we returned the car, we had no issues with the car. Perfectly returned. I reminded them of their unprofessional service when I picked up the car and their insistance that I needed to buy insurance. Great, drop of the keys, adeus. 3 months later we had a $2,500 charge from Movida. They said we put the wrong gas in the car before we dropped it off! Right before I dropped it off, I filled up a full tank of gas for EUR 75. We drove about 5 or 6 miles to drop the car off - no smells, no smoke, no issues with the car. If you use the wrong gas, especially with a full tank of the wrong gas, you will notice immediately. I am not even a car guy and I know this. We had No issues - but bang - three months later they said it was the wrong gas and had to replace the engine with no support. No documentation, no call, no warning, no explanation. Nothing! We disputed the charge and we won. Do not use these guys. They are bad bad bad news.

Esta foi a nossa segunda vez alugando um carro da Movida. O primeiro aluguel foi de 8 de dezembro de 2025 a 7 de janeiro de 2026. Recebemos um VW Terra, que estava muito bem conservado e tinha apenas 800 km rodados. O atendimento na agência de Guarulhos, em São Paulo, foi excelente; não tivemos nenhuma reclamação. Nosso segundo aluguel foi de 7 de janeiro de 2026 a 25 de fevereiro de 2026. Recebemos um Renault, que infelizmente já tinha 25.000 km rodados e estava em péssimas condições â na verdade, estava bastante sujo. Embora tenhamos ficado muito satisfeitos com o primeiro aluguel, o segundo foi uma grande decepção. Agora, esperamos que, quando retornarmos em 25 de fevereiro de 2026 para trocar de carro novamente até 15 de abril, nós, como clientes fiéis da Movida, finalmente recebamos um carro melhor ou um carro realmente bom. Certamente merecemos isso depois de 129 dias de aluguel!!! Depois disso, daremos nossa opinião final sobre a empresa e nossa avaliação final.

FF volle tank berekenen bij Movida Faro
Let op als je een auto geboekt heb bij Movida Faro apt. Je gaat met een shuttle naar het kantoor en daar moet je voor 3 bedragen je cc trekken. 400 borg, 70 voor tol naar Lissabon. Ook al ga je daar helemaal niet heen! Maar het vaagst wordt gedaan over betalen voor een volle tank. Afschrijving van 93.75 maar dit of een deel van dit bedrag wordt niet terugbetaald als je maar weinig hebt gereden. Dus ga je niet veel rijden weiger dan dit bedrag te betalen en lever de auto weer met volle tank in. Zelf aftanken is dan veel goedkoper dan dit vaste bedrag van 93.75!!

Jeg Þnsker penge retur og bytte jakke - men skal sende hele vejen til Kina og porto lÞber derfor op. På den måde tvinger de mig til at beholde jakken, jeg får med til at bytte til anden vare - finder en vare der er billigere end Jakke - og alligevel forlanger de jeg skal betale dem penge for porto. SpÞrger hvorfor, nu er de stoppet med at svare. Så jeg har smide 579,- ud af vinduet.

I went to Brazil August 2025 and rented a car, paid with lifemiles but they asked me for a deposit, been fighting over the deposit for 6 months and they ignore me, email, whatsapp, phone calls. When I rented the car I paid the deposit with my CC, so they saved my CC information and today 2/9/2026 they charged my cc again for no reason.
Be careful this is scam.

I am writing this review to warn other travelers: Movida Rent a Car uses coercive and aggressive sales tactics that left me financially damaged and powerless.
I arrived with a fully prepaid reservation, clearly stating â¬0 due at pickup, with coverage already purchased online. At the counter, Movida staff refused to release the car unless I either:
- paid â¬504 for additional insurance that I explicitly refused, or
- allowed a â¬2,500 hold on my credit card.
I was told clearly: âIf you donât pay, you donât get the car and you lose your reservation.â
This was not a choice â it was a threat.
Movida later denied any coercion and refused responsibility, despite numerous identical complaints from other customers describing the same pattern: bait-and-switch pricing, intimidation at the counter, excessive deposits, and forced insurance.
This experience cost me hundreds of euros, months of stress, and countless hours trying to resolve the situation.
This is not customer service.
This is not transparency.
This is predatory behavior toward travelers.

Inaccurate dishonest fraudulent business
The car we rented was not available when we arrived. We sat in the lobby for three hours with a 7 month old baby while they tried to find a car. They found a car and tried to give us the new car they found and upon loading our luggage the trunk would not close. They found a third car, this car smelled like there was dead animal inside. We did take the car because we were tired of waiting. Someone backed into us with this car the same night we started the rental. We did not purchase the additional insurance nor were we informed, on the contract it appears to be included. Since it was not included we took the necessary steps to ensure we were not charged for the damages. I also returned the car several days before the rental was due. Police report was made and the third party came to the location to pay the damage fee. I was ensured by Douglas the manager at the location we rented (Porto Seguro) from all rental fees would be waived and the damage fee was to be charged to the third party card, just so i would sign, and i did. The next day a i found the maximum allowable charge per the contract for the damages was prematurely charged to my credit card before any kind of repair estimate was created, as well as the full rental fee. 12 hours of phone calls to Movida. Everytime not one person spoke my language until i explained the phone call was being recorded, though Movida has a prompt for english. Not one represententave is able to explain why the process was being completed in the manner that it was. My entire vacation was ruined because of the hassles of Movida. Now i am forced to take legal action. Do not rent from this fraudulent company! Movida does not deserve one star!
WORST COMPANY EVER
TERRIBLE. Rented a car for 2 days, with full insurance, got a flat tire in 30 minutes. There was no spare tire, so it took 5 hours to get towed to a shop and buy new tire. Trip was ruined. When I returned car, Movida said it's their policy to never have spare tires in cars, and that renters are responsible for cost of tire replacement, so they refused to compensate cost.

|Dia 28/12/25 fomos buscar um carro que havÃamos reservado dias antes. O aluguel seria de uma semana. Ao chegar no Aeroporto de Lisboa (local indicado pela Movida), a carrinha que nos pegaria já atrasou. Chegando ao sÃtio, finalmente, notamos que encontrava-se lotado. Retiramos uma senha, e havia cerca de 25 números à nossa frente, mais os números preferenciais (que não sabemos quantos eram).
Ao fim de 3h fomos atendidos. A senhora que nos atendeu estava de péssimo humor (o que era até compreensÃvel), mas também não se deu o trabalho de nos atender minimamente bem. Quando concluÃmos, ela nos disse que não tinha nenhuma carro disponÃvel no valor que alugamos e que terÃamos que esperar por alguma devolução. Perguntamos quanto tempo e ela disse que não sabia responder. Pedimos para falar com o gerente, mas não havia nenhum.
Diante de tantos absurdos, já com o dia perdido, decidimos que iriamos cancelar. Como fizemos a reserva pela Booking, disseram-nos que o cancelamento seria também por lá. Felizmente, a Booking cancelou e disseram que irão devolver integralmente, pois entenderam que a culpa não foi nossa.
Escrevemos no livro de reclamação da empresa Movida (Drive). E nunca mais lá voltaremos . Um dia depois, voltamos a reservar um carro pela Booking, que nos indicou o site Rentalcars.com, e alugamos pela Europcar, cujo atendimento foi excelente e rápido.
Só mais um detalhe. Movida exige uma caução de 1500⬠com franquia de 1500â¬. Europcar exige uma caução de 300⬠para uma franquia de 2300â¬! Ou seja, uma cobertura muito maior, por uma caução muito menor. Ainda contratamos um seguro de 43⬠para cobrir o valor da franquia, caso necessário.
