The MCC programme works.
The MCC programme works & is really enjoyable.
Iâm 60 years old and not a particularly enthusiastic cyclist, but I booked on a multi day cycling trip to use it as motivation to get fit and lose weight.
With about 3 months to go before the trip I was getting nowhere fast so took the plunge and signed up to MCC.
The programme Ben devised was very doable, even with a busy life.
It was progressive so I never felt knackered after a session, and it was varied (I mixed in running as well as cycling) so I didnât get bored.
The check ins online via Mario combined with the weekly meetings with Dean kept me honest and highlighted areas to focus on.
In addition to the activity programme the nutrition advice was invaluable and a huge benefit to feeling good.
The three months flew by and the results speak for themselves.
My FTP increased from 215 W to 272W
Weight reduced from 95.3kg to 87.9kg.
Watts per kilo increased from 2.26w.kg to 3.09w.kg.
Iâm lighter, more fit and enjoying cycling.
Lou Sutton
I joined MCC 12 week program in February with the goals of Riding the Mallorca 312(167km) and a 3 day Grand Fondo Charity Ride with 6Points Challenges both here in Mallorca.
I have used a Bike Trainer before but ended up participating in to many events over a 1.5 month period.
I ended up tired and grumpy with overtraining and lost my Mojo. I didnÂŽt understand my nutrition so was binge eating after long rides.
With the help of Ben , Dean and Mario at MCC . They have helped me achieve the following results
Week 1 : Weight 68.3kg and FPT 136W
Week 16 : Weight 60.8kg and FPT 171W
I have learned the importance of nutrition and fueling before , during and after rides.
Carbohydrates are no longer my enemy as I have been educated on how and when to use them .
I loved the structure of the program and their adaptability , as I encountered an injury(not bike related) and had monthly trip back to the UK to work around.
I embraced all the indoor training rides and pushed myself up into the Mallorcan mountains on the weekly endurance rides .
The whole team were very supportive , with ride feedback from Mario and weekly check in calls with Dean .
DonÂŽt hesitate if you WANT results ! These guys are Fantastic !

A fantastic and thoroughly rewarding process. Not just a Facebook Promise !
Real people, Real Knowledge and REAL results !
Week 1: Weight 95.7kg / FTP 213W
Week 16: Weight 84.1kg / FTP 256W
A journey and a process that has utterly transformed my approach to my Cycling training , Nutrition, Power , Vo2max and FTP with most Enjoyable results. Especially now not being afraid of Hill climbing living in Mallorca.
Ben, Dean and Mario have been with me every pedal stroke and drop of hard earned sweat and have been so upbeat and positive with their support offering constant encouragement to build a better me ! With their Structured no nonsense no time wasting training and Nutrition plan , They set me up to achieve 3 incredible back to back Gran Fondo events for Spring 2026 , Mallorca 312, 6points, and capped off with the monastery's 200k race.
Anyone who wants to be a New Version of themselves then this process will take you there !
I'm now the cyclist I dreamt about.
Thanks Boys ! Bloody Awesome!
Genuinely excellent programme !
Genuinely excellent programme !
At the age of 53, I returned to cycling with some friends in March 2025 after not having a bike for c.40 years, somewhat overweight, unfit and extremely busy with family life and Managing Director of my Finance Company.
Due to my geography our group rides started in North Wales which is a brutal place to begin cycling with nowhere to hide !
It was when I agreed to enter the Mallorca 312 that I realised I needed some proper coaching providing structure and accountability not only to training but also off the bike with a holistic approach to lifestyle and diet etc, and working around a very busy schedule. This is where MCC came inâŠ
Starting: Weight 93.2kg / FTP 204W (2.18w/Kg)
Initial Programme finish: Weight 81.6kg / FTP 249W (3.05w/Kg)
I completed the event on these stats..but I have now pushed on with a further phase of coaching, with my VO2 max rising to 51, to continue to improve and I am booked to climb Alpe DâHuez and Galibier later this year along with multiple Sportives.
I really cannot recommend the guys at MCC enough⊠they are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and have helped a complete novice cyclist improve fitness, health and lifestyle both on and off the bike alongside developing a real love for cycling.. and this has all been whilst dealing with teenagers and running a Company !
If you think structure, accountability, knowledge and encouragement will help you improve your cycling, get in touch with them⊠you wonât regret it ððŽââïž
Simply fantastic coaching.
Like many people, I only started cycling properly during Covid. I was looking for any cycling tips of anyone. I joined a cycling club and ride with the B+ group. I am just turned 60 and we travel about 60+ miles on a Sunday morning at about 18 mph. There were a few problems at this stage, I needed to get a good road bike, I needed to lose a fair bit of weight, I had no structure as such in my training and I was getting told all sorts of conflicting information of how I should be doing things which I now know was well intended but incorrect in many ways. Then I saw Benâs advert for 'MCC' and some of his video's called the 'The Cyclopreneur Coachâ on You Tube. It sort of sparked my intrigue and I took the plunge and booked an assessment call with Ben.
My cycling changed dramatically since I joined the team. Initially, I just paid for the 12 week session targeting getting my weight down and my FTP up. I knew a little about functional threshold tests but not in any detail. I was taught how they set a foundation for all of the training session you will be given from here. My 12 week stats are below.........
Week 1 weight and FTP: 109.2kg and 249W (2.2 watts per kilo)
Week 12 weight and FTP: 99.1kg and 304W (3.0 watts per kilo)
I think anyone would be pleased with the above stats but thereâs so much more I learned to get to that point. Firstly, Ben and the team told me the importance of planning. I often do this on a Sunday night so I can plan my week ahead with all sorts of things like what meals to shop and eat, cycle/ trainer and app maintenance, rest, nutrition and how to cycle individually or in groups and how to tackle different types of rides and the nutrition to be applied for any given session or ride.
There is far too much knowledge and information for me to mention here, and I will touch on the cost of MCC. Yes, it does seem expensive to begin with, but what you get back out of it is worth every penny. All the team have various qualifications in sports related science etc and I think they are all cyclists themselves to a very high standard. The team get into your own expectations, abilities, injuries, goals and barriers and then somehow find a way to motivate you to tackle them. I was getting cramps and bonking in longer or hilly rides, but Ben taught me about pacing myself, how to fuel properly and when to fuel. This was probably the biggest benefit out of everything I learnt. Again, you will learn all this if you join MCC but to think that I now drink about 66g of Carbs in a drink and a 24g energy gel every hour of cycling in a 3+ hour cycle as well as a solid energy bar when needed is unbelievable, but it worked for me. My energy levels peaked and amazingly, I continued to lose weight. I started to be up at the front of climbs and still doing turns on the front at the end of 100+ mile rides.
I really enjoyed the group online sessions where I met others on the course, all with different goals and we shared various issues with each other and our weight loss or FTP increases. Ben, in my case was very patient and gave us solutions to our issues and it was acknowledged that what worked for one person was not always the correct way for another, but the team got each of us on the right track.
Hasten to say that at the end of my 12 weeks session, I was gutted that I would soon be on my own but could continue to use the new knowledge and even the training sessions to continue. I had managed to cycle round some massive rides in Mallorca, Cycled the UK Coast to Coast in a day with energy to spare and completed 2 long Glorious Gravel rides to a pretty good standard, all of which I doubt I could have completed without MCC.
I am pleased to say that following my 12 weeks, I inquired about some sort of a maintenance plan with MCC and was successful in being allocated Cameron and Mario. My FTP increased further still to 311 and I learnt further skills like Cadence control, threshold training and how VO2 training works. I have a one-to-one live online planning session with Cameron each week who answers any questions for me. Mario also checks my sessions and analysis and offers tips and reassurances. We are currently talking about Lactic acid and how to use and get rid of it.
My last positive note is that the whole set up is so flexible and tolerant of my needs and workload etc. I recently had a shoulder Rotator Cuff operation which needed 8-10 weeks of rest and non-cycling particularly outdoors. Cameron was able to get my plan frozen but kept in touch throughout and is now working with me to get back to a better FTP having dropped back to 289 during my injury period. I am back on course thanks to a structured return.
I can't thank MCC enough for the past year. If there are any sceptics out there, just take the plunge as you won't regret it! All the guys are great and genuinely want you to achieve things you never realised you could.
Brilliant team and programme
Brilliant team and programme from Ben, Dean and Mario. I dropped from 102kgs to 93kgs and increased FTP from 212w to 247w across the 12 weeks. Programme is tough but achievable and requires investment (time, effort and of course money) but you get a return and you feel much better. I have signed up to a follow up programme as want to continue the transformation.
Controlled Training Schedule
How do you manage your work/life balance? As someone that likes living life to the max, both on the bike and with good food and drink I needed to get a better handle on my weight and training schedule.
I have always been someone that pushes my training to the max, rather than building controlled sessions and looking for proper gains.
My Initial 12 week programme saw some big numbers:
Week 1: FTP 254W / Weight 101.8kg
Week 12 FTP 292W / Weight 89.1kg
Ongoing coaching now consistently sustaining 315W FTP and managing weight across the year, plus increases in VO2max.
As a company owner and family man, the structure and accountability of working with Ben, Dean & Mario has allowed me to balance my training and family/work life to ensure that my cycling gets better, my weight stays constant and with other old injuries create a constant training plan.
Thank you to all at My Cycling Coach
Improving cycling fitness alongside everyday life.
As keen cyclist with a liking for endurance I found my fitness and performance falling off. I am 64 with a busy lifestyle so whatever I did could not take up much of my time.
So I joined up for 3 months with My Cycling Coach (MCC). They helped me in the backround of continuing my cycling routine and I achieved in that period to increase my FTP by 43W, drop my weight by 11kgs. All thanks to MCC guidance.
I have signed for a further period to see what I can achieve going forward.
Thanks
Juggling Work, Life and Cycling Gains - It Is Possible!
Iâve just completed a 12-week programme with My Cycling Coach, working closely with Ben, Dean and Mario and I couldnât be happier with the results.
When I started, I weighed 96.4kg with an FTP of 234W (2.4 w/kg). After 12 weeks, Iâm down to 83.5kg with an FTP of 265W (3.1 w/kg).
The physical improvements have been huge, but whatâs impressed me even more is how sustainable and positive the whole process has been.
As a busy business professional (without the luxury of retirement!), finding time to train consistently can be a real challenge. The programme has been exceptional in working around my schedule, it adapts to provide flexible, manageable sessions that fit into my lifestyle without adding stress.
Ben and the team really understand how to balance training with real-world commitments, and that made all the difference.
The support has been outstanding. The coaching methodology is knowledgeable, encouraging and genuinely personalised. The programme helped me build consistent habits around training, nutrition and recovery, and Iâve seen real changes both on and off the bike.
If youâre looking for structured training, accountability, and a coaching team that truly cares about your progress, I canât recommend My Cycling Coach highly enough.
MCC changed my cycling...forever!
Started with MCC when my cycling was in a rut.
Performance was low and my love of cycling was dead.
Start: weight 87.3kg. FTP of 204W (2.3W/kg).
12 weeks to improve and see noticable differences.
Loved the training plan.
Tried and enjoyed the nutrition and diet advice.
Started to see differences quickly.
Outcome? Weight 72.3kg. FTP 237W (3.2W/kg)
I now ride further, longer and with more consistency than before. 250+km in a day is possible. Multi day rides, a doddle.
The changes are ingrained and a way of life.
I eat better. I train smarter. I ride stronger.
Thanks to the team and support at MCC.
Oh! And I have found my love of cycling once again!
I have just completed the 12 week MyâŠ
I have just completed the 12 week My Cycling coach course and I have increased my FTP from 236 watts to 300 watts whilst dropping to 95.25kg a weight Iâve never been at for over 20 years. Whilst increasing power by 64 watts.
This has put me at 3.1 w/kg.
To say I am over the moon is an understatement. I canât thank Dean, Ben and Mario enough for improving my power to weight ratio and VO2 max.
This course gave me real purpose. Itâs challenging and not for the feint hearted.
I am a 63 year old man yet now I most certainly wonât be the cyclist at the back when taking on the hills. If anyone is thinking of taking on this course and is willing to give it their all, I promise you that you wonât be disappointed.
Why spend £1000s on that new bike? Invest some in you and youâll surprise yourself, as it will feel like you are indeed riding a new bike! ðððð
12 weeks ago I was languishing in thatâŠ
12 weeks ago I was languishing in that lack of focus drift that can happen with any sport or pastime especially in middle age. I needed a real catalyst to change and something that would be sustainable. The course has been superb and Ben, Dean and Mario's coaching excellent. There are many metrics but a few highlights are from a shoddy 2w/kg at the start (through drifting to shorter rides, poor fuelling, non optimal diet and no structured training) to 3.1+w/kg in 12 weeks. FTP up by over 60w. The coaching has taught me a lot - fuelling - pre/during/post is huge, the targeted training types especially to blind spots in your weekly rides, importance of recovery (and zone 2 training), knowing you metrics and equating to performance such as interval recovery heart rates and the dieting for ride and non ride days. What is even better about all of this is that it is very practical - I can have a couple of nights on beer/wine/eating out and know with confidence what you quantitatively need to do in your schedule to reset with ease. That will be one of the key tests as I go into post training period. Looking forward to those hills in Mallorca next spring! Many thanks to Ben and the team.
FTP Up, Weight down!
Iâve been with MCC for almost 8 months now and Iâve been totally delighted with their service. Firstly, their method of training is effective with a threshold ride, a Vo2 max ride and a club ride each week which is easily attainable. The weekly check-in with an experienced coach holds me accountable but is also a great source of knowledge and encouragement which I value. Finally, the off-bike training and focus on fuelling ensures a holistic approach to the training that has produced tangible results for me. My FTP is up, my Vo2 is up, my weight is down and all my health markers have improved so all in all I couldnât be more pleased. To top it all, the whole team at MCC are a thoroughly decent bunch, I feel lucky to have found them.
Game Changer for Cycling and Life
Working with Ben and the team since March 2025, in the lead-up to a big charity ride called L'Etape du Tour in France in July. I'm thrilled that I invested in myself and MCC's excellent program to get the job done! Ben and his multi-disciplinary team gave me everything I needed, and more. I learned some revolutionary stuff about nutrition during rest days, and importantly, essential information about fuelling pre, during, and post-ride. (which, after 20 years of riding, you'd think I'd have picked up from somewhere!) The structured training program improved my FTP by 87 watts ( 56%!!), and I am now pushing onto 250 watts and beyond. Feel so much better on club rides - keeping well on the pace and getting home after 100km and still having enough in the tank to go out on a recovery ride with my wife. I cannot recommend Ben, Dean, Mario and Cameron highly enough. Sign up now to get in shape for summer 2026. You will not regret it.
A life changing programme
I have just completed the 12 week coaching programme with MCC. I lost 16.2kg in weight, my FTP went from 230w to 267w, and my watts/kg is now 3.03. My VO2 max went from 40 to 47.
I am absolutely thrilled with these results. Thank you so much to all the team at MCC, Ben, Dean, and Mario.
Signing up for the programme is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have been struggling with my weight over the last few years, and this programme certainly gave me the structure to finally do something about it.
The MCC team are all very professional, supportive and approachable. My weekly chats with Dean were excellent to take stock of the week just gone, and to look at the week ahead. Dean had plenty of good advice for both the bike work and the diet.
Marios observations on the stats of my individual sessions were both useful and motivational.
The programme does require commitment and focus, but all the support you need is there.
I would highly recommend the programme to anyone that is looking to improve power and performance on the bike, with a desire to lose some kgs.
Keep up the good work chaps.
So happy with results of 12 wk prog
Just completed my 12 week programme. FTP up 43W from 250W to 293W. Total weight lost over the programme - 11Kg. The goals for me were to gain enough power and endurance to complete the Cingles challenge - 3 ascents of Mont Ventoux (137 km, 4.400 m of ascent) in under 12 hours and to get under 85KG. â
â
The programme has delivered so much more:
- a sustainable system for weight management (I have been a yo-yo dieter for nearly 40 years)
- improved pedalling technique which was instrumental in my successful ascents of Ventoux with less than ideal gearing
- improved focus and productivity as work despite a challenging training timetable.
I am a Physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience. I can "fix" broken cyclists but I could not put together the comprehensive programme that was needed. The knowledge of Ben, Dean and Mario on strength and conditioning is outstanding.
This programme works out less than the costs of two sessions of personal training per week.
The accountability is daily - feedback on your training via training peaks, weekly in 1:1s with personal coach reviewing your progress and planning your next week's sessions, and weekly through group chat. Coaches available on email and whatsapp, so you know that you are supported throughout.
Big ððð to Ben, Dean and Mario. Mont Ventoux was been on my cycling bucket list for 23 years !
A great experience
A great experience, very helpful for me structure and advice was excellent. Ben, Dean and Mario all very encouraging.
Big weight reduction and FTP increases showed the worth to me.
Thank you guys
The whole experience with Ben
The whole experience with Ben, Dean and Mario was very positive. The results speak for themselves; n 12 weeks, starting early February I increased my ftp by 60 w and lost 9 kg. The flexibility of their approach allowed me to move my schedule around to fit in with other commitments whilst still pushing me for improvements. Highly recommended.
This programme delivers!
Iâm a lifelong endurance athlete now in my 40s and running, swimming and cycling have been my main sporting pursuits. Following a non-cycling related accident last year I was unable to ride for several months, lost most of my fitness and gained some unwanted timber in recovery. I was curious about the programme and how it could help me, so reached out to Ben. We had a great conversation but he declined me for the programme as I wasnât yet fit enough to ride and, rightly, he didnât think I was at the right stage of recovery to reap the benefits of it. This was a major tick in the box for me - here was someone who genuinely cared about the right outcome vs just another online coach trying to sell you something.
I managed to get myself back into a decent enough shape to join the programme and all credit to Ben, Dean and Mario, they helped me drop 7.5kgs (I went from 80.5kg to 73kg in just over 3 months) and with their training plan I got my FTP back from around 240 Watts when I got back on the bike to 306 Watts by the end of the programme.
Be under no illusions - itâs tough! You have to work hard and ingrain some good habits, but what l learned about fuelling and nutrition has changed the way I think about food and giving my body the right combination of nutrients to perform at my best.
If youâre looking to improve, optimise your power to weight ratio, and make some positive changes to how you perform on and off the bike then this programme really delivers. I now feel fitter, stronger and much more able to tackle challenging climbs. Thank you to Ben and team for all the support and encouragement.
One of the best things Iâve done for my cycling and overall well-being.
I signed up with My Cycling Coach just 7 weeks before taking on the Raid Pyreneesâ720km and 11,000m of climbing over 4.5 days. At that point, my training had taken a hit due to illness and work, and I wasnât confident Iâd even finish the event.
The support I received from the MCC team was exactly what I needed. With a structured training plan and smart nutrition advice, my confidence grew with every session. In the run-up to the event, my weight dropped from 93kg to 84kg, and their guidance around fuelling during the ride made a huge difference. In the end, I didnât just complete the RaidâI enjoyed it.
After the Raid, I had four weeks of coaching left, and I used it to keep building. Twelve weeks in, my weight had dropped to 81kg, and my FTP had increased by 50w to 305w. I was feeling fitter than I had in years. That momentum led me to sign up for another 6 months of winter training, this time with a new goal: the Mallorca 312.
Thanks to Cameron and the rest of the MCC team, I completed the full 312km route in 12 hoursâand honestly had a blast doing it. Such a great experience. Iâm now sitting at 79kg and around 10% body fat, but more importantly, Iâm healthy, motivated, and genuinely enjoying my riding again.
Huge thanks to Cameron, Ben, Dean and Marioâthis has been one of the best things Iâve ever done for my cycling and overall well-being.
For anyone who is thinking about signing up, I can't recommend them enough.
