This Company were very professional and friendly from the first contact to the installation. The attention to detail in order to enable us to get what we wanted was second to none. The result is a fantastic looking refurbished staircase with minimum upheaval and disruption, helping to make the experience less stressful for us. We highly recommend this Company.

I’ve had a fantastic built in office installed by NJ. The design process was efficient, accommodating, and gave me lots of ideas. Installation was incredibly quick but high quality in a tricky room (sloped/curved ceilings and uneven floor). Very happy with the overall result, and especially Jennifer Porter (design consultant) and the fitters.

Excellent service from the first design visit to the final installation. Our design consultant Dani Barrie had a great vision and worked with us to incorporate many difficult twists and turns in our Grade II cottage, like wattle-and-daub ceilings and many out-of-shape beams - the result was a stunning dressing room, expertly installed by George and the team.

The quality, professionalism, communication and customer service of NJ is outstanding. Nothing embodies this more than the support, understanding, vision and creativity given to us in the design phase of our project. I must make special mention to Dani, who goes beyond what is expected of a designer, providing detail, transparency and integrity I’ve not previously seen. Her knowledge and experience has enabled us to meet several challenges with confidence and overcome issues where other companies had disappointed. A big thank you and recommendation, a quality company that you can trust and rely on, with expert staff who are with you every step of the way.

I had a design appointment booked with them. Over the phone, I asked about the expected cost of the media shelf and was told it varies based on several factors. They assured me the design visit was free, so I figured it was worth going ahead.

When the designer arrived, she asked if I had checked their website for design ideas. I mentioned my preference, and she immediately asked about my budget. Since I was just exploring options, I gave a random figure. She then stated that their media shelves are expensive and that there was no point in proceeding with the design if it was outside my budget. She made it clear that continuing would be a waste of her time.

She left, telling me to call her in a few months if I could afford their products.

Looking back, I can’t understand why she even came if she had no intention of doing her job. This is not the kind of experience one would expect from a company like Neville Johnson. They make big claims, but if this is their level of customer service, I wouldn’t choose them—regardless of whether they fit my budget or not.

Only given 1* as I can’t write the review without giving it 1*. We were visited - 90minutes late - by “design consultant” (who Neville Johnson have now censored me naming even though other design consultants are named in other reviews!! They are clearly more concerned about accurate negative reviews than customer care!!!) who was patronising, arrogant, condescending and very passive aggressive throughout the consultation to the point I nearly asked him to leave the house. He was dismissive of my child and huffed and puffed when my child spoke to me, clearly put out by it. Such a horrid little man. Ignored what we said. Quite clearly on his own fixed agenda. Absolutely zero ability to read clients language and body language. Breached GDPR by disclosing other clients details. Just everything a sales person shouldn’t be, even though he banged on about how he had been with Neville Johnson 20 yrs and had 60% returning clients. There must be several gullible people out there is all I can say to that!!!

The whole process was managed with curtesy, friendliness and a highly effective creative professionalism. I had a clear idea of what I wanted and the designer interpreted my vision into a wonderful design that delighted me. The completed work is a joy, admired and appreciated by all who see it, and has exceeded my expectations.

Polite representatives; clear communication regarding delivery and installation; fitter arrived at the time advised, respected my property and did an excellent job of tidying up prior to leaving. Post installation received a couple of calls to ensure that I remained happy with my purchase.

Our experience throughout the process of having our new staircase fitted has been nothing less than perfect. From the original consultation through to the actual renovation has been excellent! The fitters have done a truly professional job and clearly take pride in their work and have provided a meticulous finish! Thank you so much!

This was our second Neville Johnson installation. From the first survey to the final dusting of the last item the whole team have been first class. We are so pleased that we came to your company. The designer David Hurst was brilliant and advised us so well. the quality of the products is simply beautiful and the effect it has had on our sitting room and in fact the whole house has totally exceeded our expectations.

Our question were answered and we were not pressured into anything . the fitter were professional and us and our home with respect.

The service and product are exceptional - from start to finish. The workmanship on our staircase (which is two-storey) is exemplary. Truly transformative.

We had experience of Neville Johnson before placing this contract for replacement of our staircase balustrade. In our previous home, the firm had replaced a staircase balustrade and had refurbished a study, with excellent results.
The current contract involved a three-storey staircase and we were initially anxious about affordability but were offered a substantial discount on the recommended price. We requested a 7-month deferment of the work to allow prompt redecoration immediately after its completion and this was readily granted.
We had requested oak newel posts and balustrades with reinforced glass panels. The work was preceded by a thorough survey as is routine.
Coordination of the contract by head office was very thorough. Clear instructions were given about phased payment and how to prepare the site before the fitter arrived. Support was offered at every stage.
The installation took two days, during which the fitter removed the old balustrades and fitted the new. All old materials were taken away and the refitting work was meticulous. All debris and dust were cleared and our home was left as tidy as before. Some damage is inevitable with this type of work, but this proved to be much less than expected and easily handled by a decorator.
All in all, we were delighted with the outcome. It provided us with a new staircase that enhanced the look of our home and more than met our expectations.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Neville Johnson in future.

There was a fault in my installation which I reported and the response from the company has been very slow. I am modifying my review to reflect my dissatisfaction. After sales service is a true test of a company!

A fantastic experience at all stages from design through to installation.
The quality of the final construction is highly impressive.
The fitters were meticulous and left the room immaculate, the unit is very impressive and will is made from beautifully moulded constituents which I am sure will last for many years to come.

Very pleased with our new oak and glass banister. Everything went smoothly and our installer, Lee Boswell, did an amazing job… hardly any redecoration required and he cleaned up after himself… would definitely recommend.

Fantastic company from start to completion. Kept in the loop every step of the way. Fitted my new oak and glass staircase yesterday, Chris and Alex the fitters were excellent. Customer service also fantastic. Will definitely be using you again in the near future for fitted bedrooms. Would recommend without reservation.

Well organised . I was kept up to date with all the processes that had to happen for my design . The staff especially the fitters were very good and the after care is brilliant

This was a relatively small job - installation of a bookcase with cupboards beneath. The whole process of discussion, design, survey and installation took from the end of October to early January (a quick timescale considering Christmas and New Year intervened). Everyone at Neville Johnson was helpful, efficient and polite. The fitters arrived on time and completed the work in one day, as planned. Although relatively costly, I am delighted with the work and materials, and it has made a considerable upgrade to what was previously a little used bedroom.
