Ordered a new library and home office from Neville Johnson. They took our money fast enough.
Absolutely awful and unprofessional workmanship on both library and study. Even their own manager who came to see the work was appalled. It took them another three months to repair the shoddy workmanship, after numerous requests and demands from us.
We will never use this company again and strongly recommend you look at alternatives to this cowboy outfit. Honestly awful, be warned.

I commissioned Neville Johnson to refurbish my staircase and I am absolutely delighted with the finished work.

Their communication has been top notch from first contact and I received great advice from the designer (Hamish) and the surveyor (John), who both knowledgeably guided me through all the options for my project.

The instillation joiners (Steve and Mark) were a pleasure to have in the house and their workmanship is of the highest standard.

Although my refurbishment was not particularly cheap it has been worth every penny and I have not the slightest hesitation in affording Neville Johnson my highest recommendation.

We are very pleased with our staircase. The fitter Neil arrived promptly and worked tirelessly all day, returning the following day to complete it. Everything was left clean and tidy.

From the beginning of the project communication was excellent and we were kept well informed of the design process, dates and contractual details. Actual installation was slipped a day at short notice due to fitter unavailability, which was disappointing, but the team arrived early and worked hard and long to finish within a day. The work and quality of finish was excellent.

Everyone we dealt with was very polite and helpful.
James,the installer, was brilliant. He left no mess, was pleasant, efficient, turned up early, finished early - the banisters look amazing.

Quite clearly Neville Johnson are a very professional company. Everything from first contact to final sign off was hassle free. Everybody I spoke to from the initial telephoned enquiry, to Phil who gave us the quote, to the surveyor, the fitter and everyone in the office was so helpful . Any queries were answered at the time or if the person I needed was not available , I received a call back within the hour. Thank you all for an excellent job completed exactly when you said it would be. It has enhanced our home.

I had a bit of trouble sorting out the date for my staircase to be fitted, which is why I have given 4 stars but the final result is fabulous and is definitely worth 5 stars. The quality of the staircase in oak and glass and the workmanship is superb. It is a stunning centrepiece to my new home. I would use Neville Johnson again because of the excellent quality.

We have just had our staircase refurbished by Neville Johnson and we are thrilled with the result. We opted for glass spindles with dusted oak wood. The effect in our hallway has transformed the area to an elegant beautiful showcase.
From the first visit of Rob, the staircase designer to the final installation by the engineer Jason, we could not have wished for better customer service. The staircase has such a “Wow” factor and we are absolutely delighted.

The installer did a brilliant job and our ‘recreated’ stairs are a superb improvement to our home.

The whole process was thorough. The fitter was polite, respectful and a very good worker. He protected what he could inside and cleaned outside where he worked.

I agree with the previous comments, our designer Laura was brilliant and on the whole we are pleased with the quality but the after sales care and administration has been absolutely terrible! They allowed our fitter 2- 3 days when in reality it took 5 days. He said he could never have done it in the time they allowed. It took weeks for them to come back for the snagging and an issue with the lights coming on and off in our wardrobe when closed has still not been fixed months later! We are now waiting for our 3rd visit to resolve this issue. Overall we have been left feeling very disappointed with the service and after sales care we have received after spending thousands of pounds!

Fitted dates around our own schedules. Contacts were helpful and informative without being pushy. Fitter had an excellent work ethic and clearly took pride in his work.

The job was carried out earlier than estimated. The day it was done the fitter arrived on time and worked all day with the job completed in that day. No mess was left behind on completion.
The overall effect on the hallway is perfect. It has updated an old fashion staircase into a modern one.

Whilst the designer was great (I dealt with Laura directly) and I'm happy with the finished product (fitters also great) as soon as the office was involved the administration, customer service and communication involved was appalling. Cancellations, repeat visits, incorrect length of time planned for fitting installations... And too arrogant to really apologise. The E2E overall customer experience has been shocking, which isn't acceptable when the product is expensive.
I still haven't heard from them at all after snagging works 2 weeks ago!

Absolutely thrilled with the quality of the oak and the workmanship involved in creating our new staircase. The fitter's attention to detail was superb and he worked very hard. There was nothing left for us to do, but enjoy our new, fabulous staircase.

Neville Johnson have recently installed media wall and vinyl storage units for us and the project has been superb from beginning to end. From the design, planning survey, through to the build and installation everything has been done well with such attention to detail! Thanks to all involved and I would recommend their service to anyone planning a bespoke furniture project.

I am disgusted by the the terrible service received.
4 cancellations- each time at the last minute when other works, eg carpets/decorators depended on reliable service.
Needless to say,I would not recommend them to anyone.

The installer was professional, courteous, and tidied up as he went along. Great job for a single person. The sales woman was friendly and helped me decide what materials I would like and answered any queries I had.

We had a lovely new staircase installed in 2012. In 2019 the top rail warped, almost causing an accident as the balusters became loose. Neville Johnson apologised and replaced the top rail quickly.

Now, only 5 years later, it has failed again by warping, leaving the balusters to fall out, leaving us with an unsafe staircase.

I have contacted the company, who are refusing to replace the top rail again, as they are saying that the 10 year guarantee runs from the original date of installation, not the date they replaced faulty parts.

I was promised a call from the area manager, which has not happened.

Our house is a normal brick build building, and there is no reason at all for these failures to occur.

The staircase was not cheap, and in my view should last for 30+ years at least.

So be wary when buying these expensive products, they may not last very long!

Having used Neville Johnson 20 years ago for a home office we recently moved and asked them to quote, survey and build another one in our new home.
All I can say is that the experience was excellent from the initial contact and quote from Dani Barrie, to the survey and the installation. We now have a lovely home office and have called Dani back in to quote for extra bookshelves.
No hesitation in recommending Neville Johnson.
