Thorough look at symptoms and current HRT regime. Suggestions made had excellent rationale.

I got an appointment quickly and I felt listened to. It’s a totally different experience from going to see my doctor. For a start I had much more time to explain my symptoms.

I found out about Newson health through Dr Louise’s podcast and book.

It wasn’t cheap but i felt it was worth it and my medication arrived within days of my appointment.

I also joined the balance app which has been great for hearing other people’s experience with starting HRT.

Whilst I haven’t had the best start with the progesterone side of the medication I am going to see if I settle into it in the next month or so by which time I’ll have another review. If the issues persist I’ll hopefully get an appointment sooner.

Overall, happy with the service, feel like I get a response pretty quick so I can’t complain so far.

It was so reassuring to be finally listened to by a doctor , Dr Amy Tompkins with understanding and empathy. Dr Tompkins explained in detail all the options, how everything works and worked out a plan for me moving forward. I really wished I’d come to the Newson clinic sooner!

My conversation with Newson Health, Anita in particular, has been life changing. Yes it’s expensive, but if you can possibly stretch to it at some point, then I’d say it’s money well spent. My GP was unable to increase some of my hormones due a a limit on what they could prescribe so they referred me to a menopause specialist. The NHS wait time for that in my area is about 2 years. So I arrange to see Newson clinic. My GP is really supportive of my menopause management but was limited in terms of expertise and prescribing outside of their limits. I had a wonderful chat with Anita and she was able to increase my medications. Although I paid for the first prescription privately which is not cheap, it was only the once and my GP was then happy to prescribe for me on the NHS. 3 months later, I’m sleeping like I haven’t for years, am getting strength back, joint pain, hot flushes all improving and all my other symptoms have improved too. My GP did a blood test for my next appointment with Anita and we’ve made a slight tweak to the meds for some final symptoms which my GP will support, If I hadn’t done this, I’d still be waiting, not to mention having to then wait for a follow up again. I know I’m lucky to be able to pay - I think it was about £160 for the appointments (each), I’ve now had 2, no more needed, back in 12 months if I want to. It worth doing if at all possible even if say it took you a while to save you may well still beat the NHS wait. Have a look at the website, the fees are really transparent, there’s no hard sell or pressure, they really are there to help you and are not looking to sell you anything privately - they’d much rather the GP supported you and keep them well updated. I can’t recommend them enough and I’m so grateful the Newson clinic exists.

My consultation today was excellent. The doctor was aware of my history and was prepared with information about my particular enquiry. She was able to reassure me about my concerns regarding a change to my cardiac status. Her manner was warm, friendly and professional. If only all contact with health professionals were as delightful and helpful!

To have the luxury of time to properly discuss my symptoms and an appropriate treatment with someone who is knowledgeable and up to date with the research is great. I highly recommend this clinic.

I had for years had trouble with my muscles in my legs as well as other symptoms and after seeing a new GP she wondered whether the problem was my hormones and started me on a low dose of HRT. I was then recommended the Newson clinic and they have just been amazing! Almost a year later now my muscles have improved so much I’m off all painkillers and being on testosterone has just been the icing on the cake. I have lived with the pain for years and to finally be listened to and understood has just been amazing. I cannot recommend this clinic enough

Refused HRT after breast cancer by GPs, endured 9 years with diminishing mental and physical functions, felt 90 in early 60s. Joined Balance app, read Dr Louise Newson’s books, researched a lot. Made Newson Clinic appointment, had a long, lengthy consultation, pros, cons, decided to go ahead. So glad I did, 6 weeks on HRT feel a lot better all round, less anxious, less aches, pains in body, back to Yoga, Pilates, walking a lot without having to give up. Memory better, mojo back, hoping bones will benefit too.

After 45 years of struggling, I was listened to, believed, supported and finally prescribed the hormones I've needed.

Newson Clinic are brilliant I have been going to them for over 10 years and it is no exaggeration to say that they changed my life when I first visited They make a huge difference to those of us who need support with our hormones in a caring environment where I felt able and supported to speak openly about how I was struggling

Having watched a few of Dr Louise Newson's Youtube videos and then devoured her book "The Power of Hormones" in a couple of days, I made an appointment with Nurse Emma and couldn't wait to meet her. From the outset, she made me feel at ease with her friendly and understanding manner. She went through all the possible menopausal symptoms that I may have been suffering with and was very easy to talk to. She prescribed bio-identical hormones based on my particular issues. These were delivered to my door within a couple of days and have been life-changing. After about 3 weeks, the majority of my symptoms started to reduce. They have now disappeared completely (after 6 weeks) and I feel that I am now living again. I feel more solid whereas before I started on the hormones, I was feeling extremely fragile and didn't want to believe that that was my lot at the age of 62. I am looking forward to my follow up with Emma in October so I can tell her how pleased I am that I found the Newson Clinic. Once I realised how important these hormones are to a huge variety of bodily processes and functions as well as the protection they give you in later life, seeking out the body identical HRT was a no brainer and I am so glad that I was able to do this with the Newson Clinic. I have been telling all my female friends about it as I think we all deserve to feel this good.

I have just come off my appointment with Dr Minnie and I am blown away with how she has helped me. All I can say if you are humming and haring like I was about the cost of the appointment (which I actually now thing is worth every penny) please don't, just go for it. You cannot put a price on your health and we all need to be the CEO our own health. Sadly we do have to go private because the NHS is broken, but we don't need to be broken, now we have Newson Health!.

It was a relief to be able to make an appointment, without having to wait months or even years, and to be able to talk about my health in a constructive, informative way. It is early days yet, only 2 months in with the treatment, but I feel hopeful and glad I went ahead with it. All very simple in the end.

I was listened to, treated with the utmost respect and my problems were dealt with rapidly and extremely effectively.

Newsons Health have changed my life. I’ve gone from being ignored and patronised with out of date advice from my gp to being listened to and given the correct HRT by Dr Pope. Testosterone has been a complete game changer. Let’s hope the NHS catches up soon!
