Decent expirence but board road weird may have been size

Bestellen bij Etnies was voordat het werd overgenomen door Nidecker altijd een aangename ervaring. Helaas is dat nu niet meer het geval. Na bestellen hoorde ik niks meer van mijn bestelling pas meer dan een week later kreeg ik bericht dat mijn bestelling de volgende dag die ik helemaal niet thuis was bezorgd zou worden. In de tussentijd contact opnemen met de klantenservice was ook onmogelijk. Er wordt nu bezorgt met fedex. De service om het aflevermoment te verplaatsen was niet beschikbaar. Eerste aflever poging dus mislukt. Gelijk een briefje in de bus dat dat de laatste afleverpoging was tenzij ik zelf contact op zou nemen. Dit is uiteindelijk wel gelukt.

I bought one of their supermatic bindings and it wasn’t designed for someone who weighs 85lbs. The binding won’t lock (not enough rider weight) and is unsafe. Nidecker made up some bullshit reasons for not letting me do any kind of warranty process. Absolutely unacceptable, will never buy Nidecker anything ever again.

Top sheet started to chip and peel on the first day of snowboarding. The step in bindings are useless as you can’t remove your foot unless you make them loose anyway. And don’t expect any customer service.
Will be swapping back to Burton. Stock with will known brands and give Nidecker a miss.

🚨 WARNING: DO NOT BUY NIDECKER SUPERMATIC BINDINGS FROM SNOWINN! 🚨

I purchased Nidecker Supermatic bindings from Snowinn (Tradeinn), and after just 3 days of use, they completely destroyed my snowboard boots—the sole detached, pressure points wore through, and the leather tore apart. These bindings were supposed to be compatible with all boots, but they were clearly defective and ruined my gear.

When I contacted Snowinn, instead of taking responsibility, they tried to shift the blame to the boot manufacturer—which is an absolute joke, considering the whole selling point of these bindings is universal compatibility. Neither Snowinn nor Nidecker has addressed this serious issue, and I am left with destroyed gear and a ruined holiday.

I strongly advise against buying Nidecker bindings from Snowinn—they do not care about their customers once they take your money. I am now escalating this case through legal channels. Avoid them at all costs! ❌.

Beware of this company- working with Etnies EU! Caveat emptor.
They forcefully shipped mistakenly bought goods, I returned them intact, and they refused to refund me in bad English, all the while keeping my money and returned goods at the same time. Dishonest and thieving company. Had to fight them via Paypal to get my money back, won eventually. Awful.

Bought a pair of supermatic bindings, they broke quickly and are painful when riding, wrote to them about changing then to other bindings twice. Never got a reply.
Reviewed their bindings on their site, but because it was not a glowing review, it got removed. Bad Business practise.

Worst customer service. The Boa part inside the stitching of the boot broke after not even riding for 20 days. Now Nidecker is trying to get out of warranty as its the Boa part. However, as it's behind the stitching it's a warranty case of Nidecker. Sent several emails, what's app messages but no reply at all. Won't buy Nidecker again

I bought the Nidecker Supermatic bindings to go on my Burton custom snowboard back in April ready for this seasons boarding.
I bought them to replace my old flow bindings I bought back in 2010!
The straps on my right binding came undone 3 times in 6 days boarding!
The lever you press to release your boot from the bindings is basically on the bottom of the binding where it connects to your board, rather than the top of the high back as per flows resulting in an extra 6 inch or so reach needed.
You can’t use the quick release lever whilst sitting, kneeling, in deep snow or any other position other than standing on flattish hard ground as you need to be able to lift your heel out of the bindings whilst pressing the lever.
If the ratchet straps are slightly too tight it the system doesn’t work.
You need to gently place your feet into the bindings rather than just kicking into flows.
I wish I had of tried them first before I bought them as I’m sure I won’t be able to return them now so I’ll have to try to sell them second hand and probably make a big loss.
I’d recommend either going for original strap ins or flow system if you want a speedy and easy system.
I think these are a bit of a gimmick and not sure how people have reviewed them as 5 star?

Ordered some supermatics off nidecker.com. No communication/updates/tracking info after 10 days. Have sent several emails/whatsapp and attempted to call. No answer. Going to have to go through chargeback if they do not reply. I would advise against ordering from their website. Zero after sales service so far.

Update: Finally received a response and product was shipped/received within a couple of days (so 14 days after order) so have updated the rating. I am satisfied now.

I have been snowboarding for over 30 years and have been lucky enough to snowboard in the Alps, Scandinavia and the USA (both West and East Coast). At 62 I am still comfortable on any slope and off piste (back country) however, the effort to secure and release traditional bindings has become my the biggest physical challenge. Although I keep myself fit, the body has become slightly less forgiving and so I was looking for an affordable solution to reduce the physical effort of securing/releasing bindings - enter Nidecker Supermatic’s.
Having researched on line I purchased a set of Supermatic’s in March 2024 and immediately put them to use on a week’s snowboarding trip to Livigno in the Italian Alps. This report is my review on how the bindings performed, and in particular how this applies to a more mature snowboarder. The conditions in Livigno during the week ranged from hard packed, to wet, to deep powder so I was able to test the bindings in a range of conditions.

My Review:
Once I took the bindings out the box, I found the set up instructions simple and clear and the bindings were screwed on to my board in less than 20 minutes. I practiced the entry and release process on a flat piece of snow a couple of times and was pleasantly surprised how easy this was. It was great to be off and away within seconds. My feet felt firm in the binding and the board was very responsive, more so than my old hybrid bindings. The Highback adjustment was set as far forward as possible as this is the way I ride. On arriving at my first chairlift, I was able to release my rear foot in about 2 seconds and was on the chair, just great. Because of the automatic mechanism, the binding doesn’t fold down quite as low as a traditional binding (to avoid catching on the chairlift gates) but I did not find this was a problem at all. The only slight issue I had was quick releasing the binding on a steep slope, but this is where it is advantageous to have the traditional type release buckles which you can use instead of the release lever, this is also very handy in deep snow, but more of that later! One good thing I noticed was when you put your foot in the binding you can feel and hear a reassuring clicking when you step on the locking mechanism and the whole binding tightens around your boot. Once you have put your back foot in you are off and away, quicker than a skier can get their pole straps on their wrists!
So, on the fourth day in Livigno we had powder, Yes! and so of course I was on the first lift up. Cruising in the powder was pure heaven, I found the Supermatic’s just as good as my traditional bindings, even when I leaned back to keep the nose of the board up. On one occasion I lost it in deep snow on a black run (operators error🤣). This is where the Supermatic’s are a notch above other “Step in” brands. The gradient of the slope meant it was not possible to use the automatic lever, no problem, I just released the binding buckles in the normal way, repositioned myself and the board, strapped back in and I was away again.
Summary: Overall I found the Supermatic’s easy to fit, and particularly easy to use. Compared to traditional bindings the effort required to secure and release yourself from the bindings is very small indeed. They respond well when riding in all conditions (although I did not try them in the park as my knees won’t allow that🤣). In terms of weight they may be slightly heavier than traditional bindings but they were lighter than my old hybrids. I found there were no downsides to using the Supermatic’s, and although pricier than traditional bindings, because you don’t need to buy a special snowboard boot, they are comparatively very good value for money. I used my existing 8 year old snowboard boots and the bindings worked great with these. However, the biggest advantage for me personally, is that I estimate that the Supermatic’s will extend my snowboarding life by 10 years. Why? because as I stated at the beginning of this piece the hardest thing to do when you are post 50 is securing and releasing traditional bindings. By comparison the boarding is easy.

So thank you Nidecker, I am super happy with my Supermatic’s. A fantastic investment.

After not even a year and only 15 days of snowboarding, following the detachment of the back of the boots purchased on official website, customer service suggests me to repair with glue.

Der Kundenservice geht auf meine Anfragen zu Ersatzteilen für meinen Boot gar nicht mehr ein. Für die Bestellung habe ich zunächst wie vorgegeben das Formular auf der Nidecker Seite ausgefüllt, Fotos mitgeschickt und anschließend die Teilenummer rausgesucht und schließlich um Zusendung zweier Ersatzteile gebeten. Auf meine Anfrage kam lediglich die Antwort, dass diese nicht mehr verfügbar sind. Daraufhin bat ich die Teile von neueren Boots mir zuzusenden. Auch nach weiterem Nachhacken nun seit zwei Monaten keine Antwort. Sobald ich im Shop eine kritische Bewertung dazu abgebe, wird diese gelöscht. Eine unabhängige Bewertung scheint nicht möglich, insofern kommen Zweifel bzgl. des guten Feedbacks am Kundenservice auf. Schlimm genug, dass die Halterung der Schnüre abbrechen, aber keine Ersatzteile bereitzustellen macht die Marke für mich unbrauchbar. Vermutlich kommt nun eine Antwort, von wegen "hohes Kundenaufkommen", "schwere Zeiten", "bitte melden Sie sich, damit wir..." Das können Sie sich nun schenken.
