Torrid all round!

Purchased a bottle of Nikka Taketsuru 21 Year Old ~£800 and been nothing but pain since.

Bottle was delivered, looking like it had been the match day ball in an England v Scotland rugby match. I informed them this was sub-par, asked them to please collect their product, and refund me and that's when the litany of excuses began. 1] "unfortunately this one seems to have fallen through the cracks" 2] "I'm afraid that we can't arrange collections for weekends, however if you want to send the bottle back yourself and let me know the delivery cost I will have you reimbursed" - which I did 2] Eventual refund ex-return postage many days after return was recorded as arrived 3] Chased refund on postage and insurance initially told no "The full price of your order plus shipping was already refunded." 4] When shown their own email saying send and we will refund "So sorry that was my mistake" 4] Still waiting despite being told "I'll have my boss send that over ASAP".... The lady their end no doubt will email me yet another "explanation" soon.

Honestly its draining....Note to self - save myself the aggro and go elsewhere

Excellent service with very fast delivery. Item exactly as stated. Delighted with my purchase.

I purchased a 0.7L Highland Grouse ceramic decanter.

Firstly, when it was delivered by DPD it was delivered to my neighbour even though my wife was at home all day so the presumption is that the delivery driver didn't knock very hard at the door if at all. I have 3 dogs in the house and had the knock been loud enough they would've alerted my wife. That said he did leave a card in the letterbox saying where he had left the package.

Secondly, once the package had been retrieved from the neighbour my wife said she could actually smell Whiskey. Upon opening, the seal that holds the decanter stopper in place was loose and obviously the stopper had moved causing a leak. I believe only a small leak occurred as the box for the decanter is not tainted but I haven't actually seen the decanter myself as yet as I'm a long distance lorry driver and won't be home until the weekend.

This is a Christmas gift for my father so I am a little disappointed but hopefully that is the extent of the issue. Until I see it myself I don't know if there is any damage to the decanter or the stopper, hopefully not and I can tape the seal tight so that it can be gift wrapped.

Communication through Old and Rare Whiskey was excellent, information through the whole process was perfect so thank you for that.

I bought an old & rare whisky called old parr seasons I bought the summer season one from old &rare whisky I already had two off the seasonal ones that was the winter &spring ones and all I needed was the autumn one to have the collection off four seasons well I tryed every where to get the autumn one and I could not get it at all and some years later I found this place Old & Rare Whisky they had a summer one left so I bought it and they were had all four seasons up for sale as a package so I asked them if they had the season autumn on it’s own can I buy it they came back to me and said yes we shall split the package and sale you the autumn Old Parr which was so good off them and it was even sent to me within two day they were so helpful and I appreciated everything they did for me so I could have the Old Parr seasonal collection the collection I was looking for For years so Thank you again Old & Rare Whisky.
