Poor Decking & Service
My brackets on the decking failed, it took a long time for them to fix them , they fixed them with the plastic brackets that originally failed and also they no longer use these plastic brackets only metal ones no. I have been in a long debate with the MDs . I eventually will take it to Trading Standard’s as this lodge is my home and i can see when the warranty finally runs out Omar will just not want to know. Service is shocking . Just check out the reviews theres more 1% stars than say others . We can not all be wrong .
No problem too small
Always found Omar tradesmen very professional and fixed the slightest problem.

Poor installation issues. Take responsibility and repair
During warranty period one piece coving fell down in our main shower room, was refitted. Yet another piece has fallen outside warranty period, this time in ensuite shower room.Contacted Omar and they did not want to know. Stating this is very rare. Blaming humidity and condensation or temperature changes.We always use fan and open window and temperature is set at 18 at all times. This can only be poor quality installation. Two Rare occurrences in two separate rooms. Take responsibility Omar and Repair as a goodwill gesture
Been going on since October
Been going on since October. They come to do repairs then have to come back to sort out how the repair was done. Its a endless circle. 3 times they have tried to do a simple repair on the bath panel. Still not done. 3 times to repair the shower. They put the shower head back in the wrong place and chipped the shower tray. Glue everywhere, even on the toilet. [how i hear you say] Wall paper up side down. Plumbing so wrong could use the dish washer.
Then there's the customer service. Wow. Set a date and no show. Then they give you a date and because you cant be there then the next date is so far into the future.
I wish they would just come do the repairs right first time. They have been 4 times and still trying to do the same repairs that they done at the start of this nightmare
We’ve had exactly the same issues as…
We’ve had exactly the same issues as the previous lodge owner. A year in and they don’t want to know. Most repairs are to ‘repair the previous repairs done by their own Omar engineers, who really don’t seem to have an idea of what to do. Workmanship is shocking, after sales non-existent.
There are 2 Omar engineers in particular who have a nickname at our holiday park of ‘Bodge-it and Scarper’ because that’s exactly what they do.
The Omar lodges themselves are lovely, and like you get with any new property/caravan, there are initial ‘snags’. How these are dealt with is testament to the company’s customer service. This company is severely lacking in this area. The Customer services manager is not forthcoming and totally inflexible and his engineers appear lacking in expertise. Typical ‘Jack-of-all-trades but masters-in-none’.
Time and time again we have had engineers return to try and put right what previous engineers have made worse. It seems that if it can’t be fixed with a tube of filler, then it can’t be fixed.
We’ve had issues ongoing from within the year guarantee and although the structure guarantee is longer, we wouldn’t know it, our leaky patio doors and now a leak from the shower, (caused by Omar engineers replacing a faulty shower tray), making our en suite unusable is not a matter of urgency to them.
We are totally Disgusted with them to be honest and I would not recommend this company to any new customers that talk to us on our site and there are plenty of plots for sale as it’s a new site.
Terrible workmanship and even worse customer service!
I bought an Omar lodge several years ago. It had two major problems; a leak on the shower pipe behind the wall and a blockage in the extractor fan vent in the ceiling. These were obviously defects during manufacture. As both were hidden faults, problems didn't manifest themselves until after the guarantee (1 yr) expired. Then the bathroom started to show signs of damp, mould and rotting wood. I got in touch with Omar and explained the problem. To my shock and surprise they were not the slightest bit interested. Their attitude was "tough... the guarantee has expired". After several years trying to resolve the problem I decided to just ask for their advice on who might be able to help, and I was told that it was not their problem and refused to even give me advice. I ended up spending over £3,000 rectifying their awful workmanship and still haven't solved the extractor fan problem. What should have been an exciting experience of owning a lodge became a nightmare of damp smells, rotting floors and walls and mould. I have never known any company to care so little about their customers and reputation. They had my money and that was the end of their interest.
