App malfunctioned and approved a request I did not approve. When contacted support, they accepted no accountability and blamed it all on me. Support takes a week to respond. They refuse to assist me when their app systematically failed. Please be cautious with this app!

I’m a professional who refers people to this app. It helps moderate communication style and offers lots of helpful tips. It’s an important app at a difficult time.

This App has made such a difference to communication between the separated parents I work with. It not only helps a parent feel confident about reading messages without fear of what they may contain, but also encourages parents to think twice about what they write.
The OurFamilyWizard team are also highly responsive to queries, technical support and adding features that make sense.

As a mediator who works with separating parents, I’ve seen first hand the difference this app makes. It oils the wheels when parents are struggling, keeping comms going, respectful and boundaried. Such a huge help, I recommend it all the time.

I regularly recommend OurFamilyWizard to separated parents I work with as a family lawyer. The platform provides a clear, secure way for co-parents to communicate, share information, and manage calendars and expenses without conflict spilling over into emails or messaging apps. Clients consistently find that it reduces stress and legal costs, and judges also welcome the structure it provides. It is an invaluable tool for families navigating separation.

I have two items which cause me issues, consistently. They are message notifications and saved drafts. The first, message notifications, is a basic tenant of every messaging app. If someone sends me a message in OFW, a number appears next to the app. This does not currently happen and causes against between my ex wife and me, because I don’t know a message is awaiting attention. The second item, saved drafts, would save a tremendous amount of time and animosity with this app. There are many times I’ll start a message and will be interrupted. Instead of returning to my original messages, the app has deleted it and I’m required to start over. What I find interesting is this survey has allowed me to come back to it multiple times and update this feedback, yet messages in the app do not allow this functionality.

The app is easy to use. It is good for keeping track of things from conversations, to bills, to events, and parenting calendars. You can search messages based off key words, print off messages, and it has bars to show you if the message sounds good to send or not. This app has helped me in my custody case.

App is kind of a pain in the butt. I do not recommend using this. We did it for my child and never ended up using it because it was too complicated and they have no easy customer service. We couldnt get both partys to connected on it

This is a great co-parenting app for separated couples. I have recommended this to my clients and my couples who are mediating with regard to the arrangements for their children. I believe it has saved many an unnecessary court application.

I work at a nonprofit organization that assists victims of domestic violence. Most of my clients are on public assistance and have no extra funds to navigate court process. My client and her husband were ordered to enroll on Talking Parents. My client immediately enrolled and paid for service she cannot afford. I reached out to Our Family Wizard and explained situation. After submitting fee waiver application, and client being approved, OFW graciously refunded my client's payment. OFW's willingness to assist those is need, even when payment was already made, is truly remarkable. I believe that Our Family Wizard truly cares about providing parents a service to assist with co-parenting.

No message retraction even if the recipients haven't viewed your message. Say it wrong? You may be charged with a crime.

At the very least, you should be able to edit your message before the recipient views it. Depending on your court orders, this software may be too dangerous and risky to use.

The service is used a lot within our company and we refer many separated parents to Our Family Wizard. The ease of set up, confidentiality and customer service are the reasons we use it so many times.

I have been a client of OFW for 10 years. Over that time, I have built a substantial record history, as is expected when using the service continuously for a decade. My annual subscription includes 5GB of data storage, but that limit is applied to the entire account history rather than on a per-year basis. As a result, my account has now reached capacity, and I am unable to upload or maintain any further records.

This data storage policy effectively penalizes long-term clients by reducing their usable storage as records accumulate and forcing them to purchase upgrades, which is both unfair and inconsistent with the reasonable expectations of loyal customers who rely on OFW’s secure record-keeping as an essential service.

I have raised this concern with customer support several times over the years, but it has not been addressed. Customer service has also refused to provide me with corporate contact information, which is why I am reaching out here.

I am requesting two actions:
1. That my account be upgraded with additional storage at no cost, so I can continue using the service as intended without being unfairly restricted by records accumulated over the past decade.
2. That OFW review and revise this policy so long-standing clients are not penalized or disadvantaged by the very record history that reflects their loyalty.

I believe this would demonstrate OFW’s commitment to its customers, strengthen trust, and ensure fair treatment of those who rely on the platform year after year.

I am a family mediator and assist clients to sign up for OFW when communication has broken down. Feedback is extremely positive. I find the customer service staff excellent and extremely helpful. I will continue to recommend OFW to my clients.

I work with a lot of separating families, often in high conflict and Our Family Wizard has transformed my working world.

This is an amazing communication tool that enables parents to communicate, safely and efficiently.
Due to everything needed being in one app there is reduced conflict as there are no longer multiple forms of communication being used and things being missed. No longer issues of one parent sending a WhatsApp and the other parent replying by email, with communications being missed.

Calls going through the App also means that in those high conflict families, the calls can take place when agreed and there is no risk of being "bombarded", often leading to conflict being reduced.

As the app is admissible in Court, it often means that parents consider their messages a lot more, again, leading to a reduction in the conflict.

This all contributes to helping families.

I recommend Our Family Wizard to many parents who are working with me in mediation. The features can be enormously helpful to separated/co-parents who are navigating their way forward in their separated family unit when it typically can feel very demanding and stressful. As professionals over seeing multiple parents communication, its a fantastic tool to use when navigating co-parenting, especially when there has been high conflict. The functions within the app, particularly the diary is perfect to avoid mis communication.

I usually write 5-star reviews for most companies. Unfortunately, Our Family Wizard is ‘worst’ company I’ve ever experienced so I am searching for avenues to present this insight. Sadly, I’ve been dealing with OFW for 12 long years & they are ann embarrassing excuse for app development; meanwhile; their customer service is anything but. I don’t believe certain courts know what they’re recommending to citizens when suggesting OFW. All courts should recommending Talking Parents or some sort of communication app with decent functionality.
