Amazing surroundings and lovely people. Everything was very well organized and clean — literally nothing to improve. Highly recommended for the whole family! We just got back with our two sons; they loved it, made lots of friends, and enjoyed the spacious playgrounds for kids. Definitely 5 stars!

Sehr schöner Campingplatz, hat was von Festivalcharakter, gutes Essen, sehr sehr nettes Personal, Sanitär sehr sauber, toller Ort, von dem aus sich Cheddar und Umgebung gut erkunden lassen.

Best campsite ever visited. Tents/Motorhomes/Motor Caravans/Caravans/Cars/Motorcycles all welcomed. Everybody was friendly, staff and visitors alike. Facilities are extensive, clean and available 24hrs. Toilets, showers,washing up, washing etc etc. Lots of friendly dogs for ours to play with. Perfect location for visiting Cheddar and the Gorge etc. What a fantastic vibe throughout.

Well laid out, loads of clean toilets and showers, well thought out check in, green policies in place, lots of extra services and not all cost money!

The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble.

It is by far the best campsite we've been to.
The team, the ablusions, the views, the atmosphere, the shop, and much more are second to none.

Such an amazing site - repeat visitors with a young family, most chilled and friendly site we have visited!
Excellent facilities, always clean and tidy.
We opted for the new wood fired hot tub, such a treat and worth every penny!!

We stayed on the converted American school bus which my son absolutely loved. Everything was provided (toilet rolls, towels, blankets etc). The owner was lovely, he actually come round the park asking guests how they were finding their stay, if they needed anything or if there was any problems. There was a barbecue provided which was a nice touch. On our first night staff come round asking if we wanted to hire a fire pit for our stay, this was reasonably priced and again was a nice touch. The toilet and shower cubicles we found to be well maintained and regularly cleaned. On arrival we were given bags for rubbish (general waste, food waste and recycling separate) which again was something that we liked. There was a small shop onsite, a place to buy pizzas from on a night and night time entertainment. The site itself was evidently very well looked after. This site was around a 15 minute walk into cheddar gorge which was the main reason for our stay, being such a short walk meant that we didn’t have to worry about trying to find parking to go into the gorge or worry about being back in time to collect our car before our parking time ran out. It is an excellent base for sight seers, we found it to be very clean and welcoming and absolutely loved those little touches. We would definitely return ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely love our yearly group camping trip at Petruth Paddocks.
There was a pizza truck onsite Friday, best to pre-book as these sell out fast. On Saturday there were burritos and nachos on sale, also cocktails/mocktails and a singer/guitarist.
The shop sell meats for bbq and s’mores kits for little and big kids. There is also a charging station for phones etc.
Owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers are cleaned regularly.
Lovely walk into Cheddar town.
Would highly recommend and we will be returning year after year.

One of the best campsites I’ve stayed in. Food trucks on site for breakfast and dinner, ample shop and great facilities.

Made to feel very welcome and very helpful highly recommend it.

First time visiting Petruth Paddocks with my boys ages 8 and 10.
Brilliant campsite for 5 nights, had everything we needed. Great facilities and play area.
We spent our days away from the site and returned early evening in enough time for the boys to safely play and explore with their new friends.
Very safe campsite with friendly, helpful staff.
The boys want to return to Petruth again so that for me says everything about the place.

Spacious pitches with wonderful views, helpful and friendly staff, and excellent facilities. Recycling bins and rubbish bags are provided, plus plenty of space for the kids to play. A lovely breakfast van serving hot food, cereals, and more. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. Highly recommended, we will definitely be staying again!

Up tent packed up! I loved the helpful bins and recycling ease as well and everything we needed for a camp fire :)

What a beautiful family campsite.
The crew were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful from the start. The site is well organised. The facilities are plentiful, clean and well sign posted.
The vibe on site is like a proper old school family camp site and the owner comes and gets involved and is part of the fun.
We loved it and will 100% return.

Went as a couple and was placed in a nice quiet field. Toilets and showers are excellent and being continually cleaned.
Metered electric is a great bonus as we didn’t use that much and what was on the meter at the end of our stay was refunded.
The fire pits made out of recycled washing machine drums with a log delivery service made each evening cozy and relaxing

We had another great stay at Petruth Paddocks. The staff are extremely helpful. The location of the site means you can walk into Cheddar which is lovely. During the week, it was very peaceful. At the weekend it was much more lively, but I still didn’t need to queue for toilets or showers which are great. We love the extras like being able to order pizza on a Friday and buy bacon rolls for breakfast. This time we splashed out and booked the wood burning hot tub which was delivered to our tent - very relaxing to see the sunset and then hundreds of stars. We’ll be back.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely coming back to stay for longer as myself and my partner stayed one night to see the mini trains.

Superb couple of days. Facilities were great and regularly cleaned. Greeted by Bex, who was superb!

This was our 2nd time at Petruth Paddocks. We loved it so much last year that we decided to make a return trip. Again, everything was superb! 5 stars throughout.
A wide choice of pitches, clean hot showers, ice available from the well stocked shop at reception.
A super huge thank you to Bex - she was amazing and worked so hard, always with a smile! We’d run out of eggs and Bex very kindly gave us half a dozen from her own home.
One of the best things about this campsite is it’s location - an easy, flat 15 minute walk into Cheddar where there’s pubs, a bakers, a butchers (no, not a candlestick maker) and a Sainsbury’s then a few more minutes walk takes you up into Cheddar Gorge with its cafes and gift shops.
We will definitely return again and recommend 100%
