Disappointing Experience After Purchasing a Car
I bought a car from Phantom Motor Company at the end of August last year and, unfortunately, my recent experience has left me disappointed.
I’ve recently had the car serviced and MOT’d by another garage, who identified that the vehicle’s software had not been updated. They advised that this was causing the fuel injectors to not operate correctly.
They also advised that it appears the engine oil had not been changed, despite the car being sold to me as having been prepared/serviced.
I appreciate that issues can occur with used cars, but I would expect a vehicle to be properly checked and maintained before being sold. Finding out that basic servicing and software updates may not have been carried out has left me questioning the standard of the checks performed before I purchased the car.
Overall, I’m disappointed with the experience and expected a much higher standard from a professional motor company.

I would like to take the time to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Clarisse from the Phantom Motors After Sales Team for the fantastic service and support she provided from start to finish.
From the moment I contacted the team regarding the issues with my vehicle, Clarisse was incredibly helpful, professional and reassuring. She went above and beyond to ensure that everything possible was done to get my vehicle repaired as soon as practicable, keeping me informed throughout the process and making what could have been a very stressful situation much easier.
Clarisse also went the extra mile by arranging a hire car for me, ensuring I was not left without transport while my vehicle was being worked on. On top of this, she was able to secure a partial refund on the work carried out, which was greatly appreciated.
Her dedication, communication and genuine willingness to help really stood out. She consistently demonstrated a high level of professionalism and customer care, and I could not have asked for better support.
Clarisse is a real credit to Phantom Motors and an excellent ambassador for the company. Her efforts have certainly not gone unnoticed, and I would like to thank her sincerely for everything she did to help me.
