We understand your frustration regarding the condition of the on-site lake and the fishing access available during your stay. The information shown on our listing, including details about fishing facilities and campsite amenities, is provided directly by the campsite itself. While the listing does state that fishing is available on the on-site lake and that pitches are adjacent to the River Seine, it does not state that fishing is possible directly from the riverside pitches.

As Pitchup.com is a booking agent, complaints regarding the condition, maintenance or suitability of on-site facilities would need to be raised directly with the campsite management using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation. However, we have noted your comments and will share this feedback with the campsite team so they can review both the maintenance of the lake and the clarity of the information provided on their listing.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and are sorry that your holiday experience was disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your cancellation.

While Pitchup.com deposits are generally non-refundable, exceptions can be made at our discretion in certain circumstances, including serious illness. As you paid in full at the time of booking, only the site was in a position to issue any refund. In this case, we're pleased to say your payment has been refunded in full.

We understand how stressful unexpected medical situations can be, particularly so soon after making a booking, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and feedback with us.

Die Preise für Ihre Buchung wurden dieses Mal direkt aus dem Buchungssystem des Campingplatzes übernommen. Der angezeigte Preis ist lediglich der Grundpreis für den Stellplatz und beinhaltet noch nicht die Gebühren pro Person.

Wir verstehen, dass dies verwirrend sein kann, insbesondere wenn sich der Gesamtpreis im Laufe des Buchungsprozesses ändert. Wir arbeiten bereits mit dem Anbieter des Buchungssystems zusammen, um die Preisdarstellung zu verbessern.

Pitchup hat mit den bei uns gelisteten Campingplätzen strikte Preisparitätsvereinbarungen. Das bedeutet, dass der Preis, den Sie auf Pitchup sehen, dem Preis entsprechen sollte, den Sie bei einer Direktbuchung zahlen würden. Zur Sicherheit: Der Endpreis vor der Buchungsbestätigung war der korrekte Gesamtpreis inklusive aller Gebühren pro Person. Ihnen wurde nicht zu viel berechnet.

Wir haben die in Ihrer Bewertung erwähnte Buchung geprüft und können bestätigen, dass Ihre Reservierung während der bestätigten Öffnungszeiten des Campingplatzes erfolgte. Der Campingplatz hat Ihnen außerdem bestätigt, dass die Buchung wie geplant durchgeführt werden kann und hat daher von einer Rückerstattung abgesehen.

Wir verstehen, dass es möglicherweise zu Missverständnissen bezüglich der zuvor kommunizierten Buchungsdaten oder Öffnungszeiten gekommen ist, und entschuldigen uns für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten. Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you had trouble using the website. We’ve been in touch directly for further information and to communicate that the issues were resolved. We appreciate you contacting us.

We wanted to provide some context – unfortunately, this rare issue was out of our control, as it was for many other businesses around the world, e.g. Shopify, Uber and Reddit. We were experiencing some issues due to a provider we use, but this was resolved as quickly as they could.

We’d also like to reassure you that the sites and holiday parks on Pitchup.com set their own rates, and booking through Pitchup.com should cost the same as a direct booking. The 15% deposit is not a booking fee, but is part of the payment for your holiday.

We appreciate your feedback and hope you’ll consider giving us another try in future.
