Had 2 new tyres fitted but they didn’t put the locking wheel nut back on . We didn’t notice until
My partner was washing my car a few weeks later.
When we notified them they did order new ones a fitted them but it could have been very very dangerous as I was driving it for weeks unaware .

They were able to fit me in very short notice to repair a puncture. The team were all so friendly and helpful. I only passed my test a month ago, but they helped me and explained everything to me. Cannot recommend enough, very grateful for their help!

Fast efficient and polite service. The new tyres ordered for my car were speedily fitted while I waited and the car returned clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and polite. They were also giving good advice to other customers who had queries. Soon to go back for an MOT.

I used protyre in Thetford 4 times for different reasons like tyre replacement , mot, and exhausts and their service is excellent. Very nice and hardworking mechanics.

Good all-round service and selection of tyres so that you can select your expense level.

In terms of the service once the car was on the ramp the issue I had was corrected fairly quickly. Major issue is that upon arrival was told through the online booking system two vehicle were able to be booked onto one ramp at the same time. As such I waited over an hour from the selected time for the vehicle to be worked on.

Absolute life savers!
I had issues with my front breaks and they got me in immediately and fixed it very quick.
Costumer service was also 10/10.

The process of ordering tyres online and booking an appointment for fitting was easy and simple and good deals on tyres but the service from the centre was not. I was ignored for 10 minutes while standing at the desk to confirm I had arrived (although I was 10mins early, staff just ignored the fact I was there and didn’t even acknowledge I was there to at least say they would be with me shortly).
Despite booking an appointment and being told I had to arrive on time for my slot I was kept waiting 45minutes before they even took the car in. When I enquired how long it would be as I was going to be late back to work the response was that well he had an hours drive to work everyday so he couldn’t even get appointments like this. Not really relevant how far he has to travel to work!

I took my car to Pro Tyres Thetford on Tuesday, 29th July 2025, to replace the rear tyres and valves immediately after a full MOT, which showed no faults with the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) or any electrical issues.

After the tyre replacement, the TPMS warning appeared on both rear wheels only. I attempted to recalibrate the system, but the process failed to complete. When my wife returned to Pro Tyres to report the issue, the staff treated her condescendingly, as if assuming she wouldn’t understand the technical problems. They gave vague explanations and did not remove the tyres or properly investigate the cause. Instead, they plugged in a diagnostic tool only after the fault appeared and blamed the car, recommending expensive repairs at a BMW dealership. If they had the capability to run diagnostics after the fault, why did they not perform this simple step before the tyre change to ensure everything was functioning correctly?

When I contacted Pro Tyres directly and clearly presented the facts, the staff responded rudely and dismissively because I have a better understanding of the technical issue. Their behaviour was unprofessional and frustrating.

To make matters worse, other garages refused to remove the rear wheels due to the locking nuts being excessively over-tightened by Pro Tyres, posing a safety risk. My wife returned to Pro Tyres to have the nuts removed, and it took their staff over an hour just to loosen two nuts — suggesting deliberate over-tightening, possibly to obstruct other mechanics from inspecting their work.

Due to ProTyre refusal to cooperate and properly diagnose or fix the problem, I was forced to seek a second opinion from another workshop. This dispute has caused significant inconvenience, wasted time, unnecessary stress, and loss of income because I had to leave work early and return late on multiple days over a four-day period.

Overall, this experience has completely shattered my trust in Pro Tyres Thetford. Their poor workmanship, lack of transparency, dismissive attitude, and condescending behaviour toward my wife are unacceptable. I am pursuing formal complaints and expect a full repair at no cost, a sincere apology, and assurances that such unprofessionalism will not happen again.

I strongly advise anyone considering ProTyre Thetford to think twice before using their services.
