Radio Taxis Southampton 

Absolutely terrible. Do not use them. I had a taxi booked for an important medical appointment, which they knew. Nobody turned up. When I rang they said no car was available even though I had booked. It’s too late for me to arrange anything else. They simply don’t care and just said they didn’t have a car. I asked why they hadn’t rung me and told me but he just avoided the question. Don’t waste your money with them. Disgusting.

the taxi driver say it was 25 pond to pay from the cruise terminal to the airport , at the airport he say it is 35 pond ( he say 10 pond for the parking) this is not correct , never use radio taxi southampton

Don’t use this taxi service if you need to get somewhere important on time! Booked a week ahead of time for a family wedding - taxi didn’t turn up. First phone call answered by automated system saying they were still looking for a driver. Second phone call after 20 mins again answered by auto system & couldn't offer any answer to booking. Checked the app & booking was cancelled. I then had to drive us & ended up just making the ceremony before the bride!

Rubbish! Booked a taxi to take us to the RSH for a cataract operation only for it not to turn up and when I rang they could not say when one would be available. Has to cancel and husband drove there but I will have to drive back 4 weeks after a hip replacement! (Not meant to drive for six weeks)!!

Used to be a good reliable service. Now they take more bookings than they have drivers, and even with 24/48 hours notice make no attempt to contact to let you know they are going to leave you stranded. First customer service rep hung up, second said " all timings are approximate" which isn't in the booking system anywhere.

Can't be trusted, don't use.

Absolute rubbish. You can book as early as you like and they will confirm the booking but, that means nothing to them. They hardly ever turn up. It has happened many times in my experience with them. Total crap

Waste of space. Always late, that's if they turn up!!!!

If you need a Radio taxi and can't get one, ask them to get one of the six taxis parked in Bonchurch Close to do the job, always there lately!!!

Booked and paid in advance for a 20 mile one way trip at just after midnight.
Our car arrived 10 minutes early, which was great but we weren't ready to leave so we hoped the driver wouldn't drive off prior to our agreed time. It would have been handy to "text" the driver via the app to say "we would be out in a minute etc" just a suggestion perhaps....
They were parked in an easy to spot location. The vehicle was as described, clean and smelt fresh. The driver Tekle was a really nice person too, very nice, chatty and drove safely all the way to our destination. Thanks Radio Cars

Shocking absolutely shocking. Booked and paid in advance, after 15 minutes waiting tried calling but as the number was linked to the booking got absolutely nowhere so called from another phone, talked to Seb who seemed nice however was told that even though we had pre booked and paid in advance it’s up to the self employed drivers to take the job or not?? What sort of service is that? Was told they would do there best to get someone to us. We waited and eventually got another firm to get us and will be asking for money back on Monday. Never will I recommend or use this firm again. You book for a reason Radio taxis not for a maybe someone will be there or maybe not.

Absolutely disgusting services I ordered a taxi and had my small mini jack Russell with me and my daughter the driver pulled up said that thing ain't getting in and drove off...I then called the office which they apologized and rebooked me another cab...I was then called 8 mins later to say no one would take us as I have a dog...I had my dog all the other times this week while using them no problem...thanks radio taxis I'm actually homeless ATM and was getting emergency housed nice work...do not use this company

Charged £30 for a single trip to Winchester from Eastleigh. 8 miles.
My outward journey with a different company cost £20. Neither journey at rush hour and neither had any hold ups.
I complained straight away and was told I'd have a follow up call. I received this and was told I'd been charged more as I'm not a regular customer! Not likely to become one after this.

DO NOT USE RADIO TAXIS. Book a day in advance and they have a 100% record for turning up late so well done! When calling the company they have the worst and rudest staff. Taxi drivers have no idea where they’re going will never use again! AVOID

I was really happy with the service I received. I pre-booked my taxi whilst at the airport for my return journey 2 days later. The customer service representative was very helpful, took my details and gave me a quote. On the day I returned to the UK as the plane arrived at the airport I received a text message advising me that my taxi had arrived and was waiting for me. The driver was very courteous and helpful and I was very pleased with the service.

Pre booked taxi a day in advance. Didnt turn up, made 5 calls and each time automated voice said they were trying to find driver. Turned up 20 mins late and I was late for my appointment. DO NOT USE!

Worst driver of the year goes to the taxi driver number 0460 who used a right turn only lane to get ahead of traffic, then cut across 2 lanes to turn left, causing everyone to slam on their brakes. Then speed off like butter wouldn't melt, reaching over 65 in a 50.

They used to be a good firm, and I always booked them for long distance runs to airports etc.
The last two times they have let me down badly.
Despite being pre-booked a week before AND being re-confirmed the night before, on both occasions they didnt turn up on time - and after 10 minutes I had to start calling them repeatedly, only to get poor excuses, and promises that the taxis were on their way. Both times they eventually arrived 30 MINUTES late. I gave them another chance after the first time. But will not use them again.

Had a taxi booked, saw it turn up, went over to it, tight colour and reg, spoke to driver, he said he had another booking and drove off! Another car was sent, this driver didnt have a clue where I wanted to go to, so had to direct him. He finally gets me to my destination for him to say his card machine wasnt working and he could only take cash!! I said I didnt have enough cash on me for the fare, so made me ring up from the taxi to pay. This is really poor service for both cabs. Why did he not say at the beginning he couldnt take card and we could have stopped for me to get cash out. I use radio almost every day, but the service doesnt seem to get any better, if anything, its got worse. Days there are boats in the docks, all the cabs are there, what happened to loyalty to those customers that are there every day booking cabs, why is there not a certain amount that need to stay in contact for 'normal' fares?? Its us that keeps them going the rest of the week, yet weekends we are let down. Even on pre booked cabs.

Pre booked a taxi, but it didn't turn up. Phoned up to see what was happening and was told it would be another 30 minutes before the taxi would arrive. What's the point in pre booking?!? Don't use this company.

I am absolutely disgusted with radio taxis. I am regular customer who uses this company regularly I asked the driver to go a certain way he took me on a wild goose chase , I said the fare is around 8-10 pounds with the fare increase he became aggressive and told me to get out and refused to take me home . I phoned the company and they didn’t listen full stop . Never again would I trust this company
