Shannon’s First Class Customer Service

We had an issue with our Belling Cooker. We contacted Range Cookers in Chester and spoke with Shannon who took complete control of our issue. We felt totally confident in leaving matters with Shannon. She told us what she would be doing and when we could expect a resolution. She kept us updated frequently and true to her word she resolved our issue. This exemplary customer service is why we bought our cooker from Range Cookers in Chester. The true mark of a retailer is how they respond when there is an issue. Shannon’s response was a credit to her employers and a clear example of what first class customer service looks like in practice. Thank you Shannon.

I'm giving Rangecookers 4 stars because Mike who I dealt with has been brilliant. We had a manufacturing issue with the appliance and he went above and beyond to get it resolved for us.
The zoneless induction hob is fantastic and we love it.
Stoves need to review their quality checking procedure but otherwise we're very happy.

Falcon Duluxe 110cm electric oven - Amazing

I purchased Falcon 110 deluxe all electric oven through Kitchen Things in New Zealand.
I have had my oven nearly for 13 years and still love it. It is a great investment. It cooks food evenly and does roast potatoes like I have never tasted before. Crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. We have only recently put in a replacement catch and pin purchased through FLBone NZ and 2 light bulbs.
I am selling my house and sadly leaving it behind. I hope I can buy another one if space allows.

Service like it used to be!!!


Looking to replace old Rangemaster cooker. Tried several national retailers with no luck. Called Rangecookers,. Call answered quickly, spoke to Anna who answered all my questions clearly and then phoned back so sort out an order which was done efficiently and in a very friendly way by Mike. Placed an order at best price available from any other supplier, removal of old cooker, installation of new, and conversion to LPG at no extra cost. Two days later received written confirmation and delivery date in 9 weeks time from Rangemaster.This is how service used to be! Phones answered within a few rings, delightful people to talk to and clear and detailed follow up. BRILLIANT. Thank you

Charged for a Service Not Delivered – No Accountability

I paid Rangecookers.co.uk for the removal and disposal of my old range cooker, but the delivery team refused to complete the job, claiming it couldn’t be done. This was not true as the cooker was the exact same size as the new one delivered, and another company removed it the very next day without any problem. Clearly, the issue was not access but the unwillingness on the part of the delivery team.

Despite clear evidence that the issue was with the delivery team, Rangecookers.co.uk refused to refund me, insisting the charge still stood. Their responses were polite but dismissive, deflecting responsibility rather than addressing the fact that I paid for a service that was not carried out.

It’s extremely frustrating to be left out of pocket for something I did not receive. This shows poor accountability and disregard for customer fairness. I would not recommend Rangecookers based on this experience.

I’m sorry that you’ve been so unhappy with the service you have received & I do appreciate that you are feeling very frustrated with the situation. I know we have been discussing this at length via email & have said if there is a way for us to challenge the removal fee from AIT, we are honestly happy to do so. However we have asked for some more details from you, in order to facilitate this.

As it stands, it appears as though AIT & Delonghi were thorough in their pre-delivery questions, asking about any potential difficulties in accessing your property, or any narrow spaces they would need to pass through with the appliances. I have asked you a couple of times whether you made them aware of the size of the lift or the flights of stairs involved in accessing your home, but you haven’t answered those questions. I can see there were no delivery notes on your original order with ourselves, but I appreciate you have had a couple of phone calls with AIT since then, which is why I was asking you for more information.

You did indeed pay for the removal service, however as the delivery crew attended with the intention of carrying this out for you (& were unable to do so, as your old appliance was too large to fit into the lift, without removing the oven door, which they didn’t have the tools or instructions for & in doing so they would have caused damage to your property), that fee has still been charged. From the delivery report, it does seem as though the delivery crew tried their best to remove the old appliance for you. If there was any discussion before delivery about the access issues & if AIT should have been aware of the issues before attending, please do let me know & I will challenge them over the charge.

It's not in our nature to be unfair & we don’t like for any of our customers to be unhappy with any aspect of their order. If there is anything we can do to correct the situation, we will do. If you could come back to me via email & respond to my queries about the pre-delivery discussion, we can see what else can be done to resolve this for you.

So helpful and knowledgeable over whatsapp

I engaged with the WhatsApp helpline and they were amazing. Really helpful. Unfortunately the exact model my partner wanted need an long lead time so.we didn't end up purchasing, but would thoroughly recommend this store. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

ABSOLUTELY FUMING

I ordered a rangemaster classic duel fuel 100 in the beginning of March 2025. I have been advised when placing the order that delivery will take 4-6 weeks however the very first delivery option was end of May what I accepted. One week before the delivery I have been advised that there is a delay with the product manufacturing hence the delivery needs to be pushed back to end of June. When I get closer to this date I emailed the company just checking if everything is alright with the delivery, when I have been informed that they need to push it back once again until end of July. I am very frustrated with this as the cooker was going into a refurbed kitchen where the old cooker was taken out hence no cooking option in my house since the beginning of May when all the works started. After all these issues I requested a full refund what the company fulfilled. However their 100 cookers is actually 994 cm and all the units were placed in my new kitchen according to this measurement. Unfortunately this is not a standard size as other 100 cookers on the market 998/999mm so a 100 cooker won't fit hence I need to redesign the kitchen costing extra costs to my already expensive renovation. Absolutely fuming with this company. In another note I ordered my new cooker from Currys yesterday with a next day delivery. Well done Currys.

I’m so sorry you experienced this, sadly Rangemaster have been having great difficulty with their lead times for a number of months now, due to issues accessing parts. This has of course had a big impact on some of our customers, for which we are incredibly sorry. We fully understand the knock-on effect of not having a cooker in your kitchen on time and we do take the matter very seriously.

We have tried to keep our customers as informed as possible along the way (sadly there were times when the manufacturer said the issues would be rectified much sooner than they were). We always try to be as transparent with our customers as possible and hate having to let them down in any regard.

When we were told you wished to cancel your order (which of course is totally understandable in this situation), we were quick to process the full refund back to you.

I am glad you have been able to source the range cooker which will suit your kitchen best. It is a huge shame we could not provide that for you, but the main thing is that you have found what you want.

Rangecooker were great! Contractors not so much!

We loved the cooker we ordered, unfortunately, it was broken on delivery. (the oven door), It was a different team that arranged repairs and said it would take 2 weeks originally. 2 Months later, we were no closer to fixing it, so after speaking with Shannon from Rangecookers, she helped arrange a pick-up and a full refund for the cooker.

The reason for the five stars is that the service we received from Rangecooker themselves (in particular from Shannon) was efficient, and the product was great. They were let down by their partner contractors.

Excellent service

Excellent service - start to finish.

I recently purchased a Rangemaster cooker through Rangecookers.co.uk and was super impressed with the service from my initial enquiry to post delivery.

My order was processed by Sam after much to-ing and fro-ing with an endless list of questions - kudos to Sam for responding quickly and efficiently every time.

I usually prefer to shop locally so I was a little hesitant dealing remotely but I couldn't be happier - thanks Sam, you were a pleasure to deal with.

Good, practical and honest advice

Good, practical and honest advice from Tony, who knows rangecookers inside out. This is a small family run business which is almost unheard of these days in this particular market. Knocks the socks of the big players and the prices are evenly matched. The delivery, installation and removal service, which is provided from in-house was flawless. Excellent !

A Complete Disappointment: Poor Quality, Unfit for Purpose, and Subpar Customer Support

We purchased this oven with high expectations, anticipating that it would be a reliable and functional addition to our new home, especially as new parents. Unfortunately, it has been nothing but a source of frustration and regret from the very beginning.

Product Quality Issues

From the moment it was installed, the oven displayed significant defects. The door has never sealed properly, leading to prolonged heating times and excessive gas consumption. We have had to replace the door seal twice in just 7 years. This fundamental issue severely undermines the oven's efficiency and performance. Additionally, within the first 12 months, the thermostat failed, followed by a malfunction of the main heating element 18 months later, leaving the oven inoperable for three months while we waited for a diagnosis and parts to be sourced. Another 12 months later, the oven’s bulb failed, and due to its design, this caused the entire oven to stop functioning. It took three weeks to source a replacement bulb.

The hob's auto gas shut-off function has also been problematic. On one occasion, we detected a strong smell of gas in the kitchen, only to discover a fault in the hob’s safety shut-off valve. This is not just an inconvenience; it is a serious safety issue.

The oven’s performance has been equally disappointing. Baking and roasting have been nearly impossible due to severe hot spots. For example, during its first use, we ruined a Christmas dinner as the back-left corner overcooked to a crisp while the front-right remained undercooked. Initially, we attributed this to inexperience with the appliance, but we later learned that uneven cooking is a common issue with lower-quality ovens.

Unfit for Purpose

This oven has proven to be completely unfit for purpose. Despite costing over £1,000—a significant investment—it has failed to meet even basic expectations for functionality. Replacing essential parts such as door seals, thermostats, and heating elements has been an exercise in frustration. Even direct contact with the manufacturer yielded little success in locating the necessary parts in a reasonable time (3 months for the thermostat). After months of persistent effort, we were eventually provided with replacement parts, but only after considerable inconvenience.

Slow Customer Support

The customer service experience has been equally disappointing. Once the product was sold, it became apparent that after-sales support was non-existent via their support providers. We were passed from one provider to another, with no one able to locate spare parts. Our case was handed off to Connect Services, the repair partner, who struggled to find parts or even stockists of spares, before directing us back to the manufacturer. The only positive aspect of the customer service experience was the support we received from Mike and Anna, who, once assigned to our case, went above and beyond to locate parts and arrange repairs. However, the primary cause of the delays appeared to be the unavailability of parts and the inefficiency of Connect Services.

When we initially reported the defects, our request for a refund was dismissed, despite the oven being nearly unusable. This lack of accountability and unwillingness to address the product’s failures has been deeply disappointing.

Final Verdict

While the oven is aesthetically pleasing and fits well in our space, it has been the worst purchase we have ever made. We stretched our budget to buy what we thought would be a high-quality appliance to meet the needs of our growing family, but it has consistently let us down. After consulting with British Gas about the gas leak to the hob due to a failed safety cut off switch, we were advised to stop using the oven altogether pending repair. We now rely on our Ninja air fryer for all our cooking, as the oven has proven to be unreliable.

In conclusion, this oven represents poor craftsmanship, unreliable performance, and extremely slow customer service. I strongly advise anyone in the market for a dependable, safe, and functional oven to avoid this brand. It has been an incredibly costly and regrettable experience for our family.

Missing the offer?

I bought an oven based on the offer of an extended five-year warranty.

UPDATE: A link to the page where the extended warranty could be registered was sent by email to your email address on 15.10.24 at 12:39pm, along with an explanation that the promotion was run by the manufacturer so registration on their website was necessary to activate the extra cover.

Absolute disaster.

Absolute disaster.
Purchased an item that has a manufacturing defect and is unable to function. Unable to return, unable to get a refund. Passed to customer support of the manufacturer. Unfortunately the manufacturer Faber is useless, and each contact to the support team is a request for details. The response to the details is to request the same details. Stuck in an endless loop. I think I’ve been conned. Sell faulty product, put you in an email loop, never sort it out, keep the money.

Great customer service

I recently purchased a Bertazzoni fridge freezer from the website. Straight forward information regarding delivery. Quick to get back to me with a query I had about product.
Delivery driver was most helpful when we discovered a part was missing, and looked into it straight away.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.
