We have been past customers and always been happy with the food/service, so when a chosen visit to Manchester Rev de Cuba was booked via a Red Letter gift, we were looking forward to it. Sadly the visit was extremely disappointing. We booked for a Tuesday night about 5 pm, thus it was not that busy. We ordered two cocktails from the table service which took a long time to arrive. Food was ordered relatively quickly - we ordered five tapas plus bread and fries with the order. When the food did arrive four out of five tapas dishes arrived. We made mention to the nice staff of the outstanding ordered items. We could not fault the food we had. We sat there after finishing our four tapas dishes - when some of the remaining dishes from our order came out! Too late then! Not sure what happened to No.5 tapas dish as only the bread and fries had been brought out! The polite staff pointed out that some of the order had been missed, even though it was all taken together and the kitchen was short staffed. We left hungry and disappointed, especially as this had been a present and pre-booked. We were offered two cocktails as an apology which we did not take up to be fair, mainly because we had waited so long in the first place for our first and only cocktail. It is the first visit there that we had not only left very disappointed and hungry but only had one drink! No revisit planned!

Booked a meal for birthday after sitting there for hour told there was no food. We had payed £20 bar tab which we haven’t had back. We had travelled to come here and were treated awful

We booked a table but couldn’t stay for the meal that we were looking forward to, due to the horrendous noise… we couldn’t hear each other speak! There is nothing Cuban about Scottish singers belting out tunes, while people are trying to eat. I’m at a loss and very disappointed, particularly as I was also given a voucher as a Xmas present to dine here and we thought we would try it out before using the Buy a Gift Voucher. Unfortunately other than pictures of Cuba, there is no authentic atmosphere and the staff interaction we had was poor. Probably best suited to stag & hen parties. In addition, don’t fall for the discount code scam by giving them your details, as it doesn’t appear!

Derby Branch - Freezing cold area, dirty tables slow service overcharged then told couldn’t use voucher Never ever again !!!!!

Went in to Liverpool for 50% off food in Janaury and was told the voucher covered tapas, mains and burgers. Bill came to £147 with which included £15 of sides and another £25 of drinks. We should have had £55 off the bill for the food but got £20 off because apparently we didn’t read the ts and cs. Well I did, and they basically said it can’t be used in conjunction with other offers. The offer you ask? The tapas menu was 5 dishes for £30 as standard (not an offer according to their own website) on the menu and they applied this ‘offer’ without explanation when we were seated or when we ordered, and we had ordered 13 tapas dishes! We essentially got 2 burgers half price.Absolutely shocking misadvertising which we are formally complaining about today both at the bar and in writing. Our server couldn’t explain it, other than to tell me I should have read the rules of the offer which made it worse. Thankfully kept my original receipt and the ‘discounted’ one.

Belfast branch. Beware of their happy hour. Doesn’t apply in month of December it is stated on their poster in the terms and conditions in the tiniest writing I’ve ever seen. Needed glasses and still couldn’t read it. They have advertised in their cocktail booklet the 2 4 £12 cocktails with no terms only on a poster. Very sneaky and deceiving. Won’t be going again hate it when they try to deceive the customers. 😡 tried to add a picture of the poster just so you can try and read the terms and conditions. NO happy hour so not happy.

Derby restaurant: yesterday was the 3rd time I've had a promotional QR code rejected, despite all the criteria for use being met. The first time this happened I was told to take it up with Head Office which I did and the email wasn't even acknowledged. 3 strikes and you're out RdeC - I've now unsubscrubed so I don't receive any more false offers.

Very disappointed by the food and general service in southampton restaurant. We booked a table for 7:45. We were still waiting for drinks 40 minutes later, having had to flag someone down to initially clean our table which was absolutely filthy.
We ordered food after being challenged whether we’d booked for food; which of course we had done. 20 minutes after ordering we were informed that there was a 40 minute wait on food. Now bearing in mind we had booked specifically for food I can’t understand why this was such a huge waiting time.
When our tapas starters arrived they were nice: our main food arrived. Despite asking for specific dietary requirements this was not taken into consideration. 2 meals out of 3 arrived and the third was another 20 minute wait. The fish was burnt to a crisp. There were 3 items missing from the meals too. There was plenty of serving staff; in fact too many. There was lots of standing around and chatting for them.
Quite frankly extremely disappointed with the service and food. And even more so because this was for a special birthday.
We complained at the time and we’re just told the chefs were busy.

I went into the Manchester branch a couple months ago for a night out with a friend I hadn't seen in ages. It was fine and the music was okay so we were having a decent night. However, it is a clear problem that there is a lot of theft in the bar. Myself and my friend had our phones stolen out of our pockets. The staff would not allow us to see CCTV and didn't let us go back in to check if for some reason the phones were left in the bar. We were left without any way of getting home (as we were using Apple Pay) and the staff did not seem to care one bit.

We booked to have a meal at the Milton Keynes branch for a special birthday, arrived on time, had our order for food and drinks, waiter was very attentive. We waited, and waited, no drinks, no food. Other tables that came in later got their drinks. 15 minutes later another member of staff came to tell us that they had no food, the delivery apparently hadn’t arrived, not just some items off the menu missing! We left with great disappointment but luckily we’re able to be seated at Sultan Restaurant, still in time for out trip to the theatre. I mentioned it to a work colleague who had exactly the same experience the night after.

First time coming to this place and will definitely be my last. Bouncers are so rude and narrow minded think they can push teenage girls about. Absolute no respect for customers. Was assaulted out of the fire exit on my own feeling vulnerable while they gripped my wrist, leaving me with bruises all around my wrist while he verbally abused me calling a slag a sket , throwing the glass out of my hand to the other side. Causing a hazard for someone to be cut. Vile, do not support this type of behaviour 🤢

Table booked for 10 had to pre order food, which you would think is a good idea. We sat down and told someone we were ready to eat. Half an hour passed and no one has been to the table, the waitress hadn't told anyone we had sat down. About another 30 minutes go by, our friend's tapas come out before the starters. Very slowly dinners arrived, and then the nachos that were the starters. As food was coming out they asked if we were waiting on anything else, well we did pre order so you should know what we're having. Food does not come out all at once, a burrito came out without chips, they took 10 minutes to come out. I had paella and I think it was a child's portion, it was tiny and had no king prawns. Also they had no guacamole. The final 2 dinners came out after everyone had finished theirs. It took almost 2 hours to get all our food. Will not be going back.

Decided to come here for my daughter’s 18th. Molly, our waitress, was so lovely and friendly. The food was amazing. I am vegetarian by choice but could have easily eaten the meat. The tastiest food I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommended.

Southampton branch SHOCKING. 7.30 placed order for 6 people, 3 starters turned up nearly 1hour later cold,the other 3 turned up half an hour after that with 3 mains , at the 2 hour mark the remaining 3 mains still had not arrived.
Food bad, staff seemed not to care and really bad service. Would have given no stars but no option.
We left and had a great curry at watermark.
Was my wife’s birthday, ruined.

I would like to thank all the staff at Revolucion de cuba (in Nottingham) for making my afternoon tea for two so enjoyable. Everything even down to the staff was perfect and I really enjoy the food. Would definitely go again.

Went to the Leeds branch on a Saturday night in April 2023. Obnoxious bar staff, cover charge to enter, overpriced drinks, glass collectors taking your glasses when you've turned your back without asking if they're finished, (including moving the whole table with a £45 bottle of prosecco on it which they refused to return or replace) and music so loud you can't hear your companions even when shouting in each others' ears.
Won't be returning.

Tried to visit Revs De Cuba tonight in Newcastle. Confusing entrance and bouncers very rude. As a hard of hearing person I was told “you do not comprehend” when trying to explain I could not hear them shouting 10+ meters away. They then refused me entry. Very disappointing.
