Excellent selection of products, helpful, friendly staff with a great expertise.
Very competitive prices with a fast delivery.

Went into the Glasgow branch to purchase a Technics SL 1500c turntable and was looked after by Jordan.
The store didn’t have any stock of the black model, but Jordan put one on order and was delivered to my home 2 weeks later along with with Audioquest cable and a Ortofon Concorde blue stylus , both recommended by Jordan.

Jordan kept me informed about the expected delivery date on several occasions.

Really happy with the advice,knowledge,service and delivery from Richer Sounds.

They were very helpful when I went in to purchase a TV and the after sale team were good

I went in to buy a new stylus for my old record player. The staff at Richer Sounds in Glasgow were knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I enjoyed the experience and recommend the shop. A good place to shop.

I contacted richer sounds glasgow about purchasing a new tv,they were very helpful, and a purchase was made. The delivery time was explained and I was informed when the item was on its way. Over many years there has been a long term consistency in the staff I have been dealing with and their knowledge and advice is excellent. That includes face to face in the shop or on the phone.

Dean was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction when I visited the shop to buy a record player.

Unfortunately I couldn't have a demo of my chosen product, and my pickup order was not ordered into store on my promised date, both of which were huge disappointments after previously reading how great Richer Sounds are with service, hence reducing the rating to 4 stars. However, amazing service from Charlie to correct the problem as best he could, and I will be asking for him by name in future.
The DPD delivery service is fantastic - arrived bang on the middle of the delivery window. Upon seeing me struggling with crutches, the driver immediately offered to carry the box inside and set it down wherever I needed to make life easier - a simple thing that makes a big difference!
Setup of the Audio-Technica AT-LP5X isn't particularly difficult - there are instructions in the booklet and convenient setup videos right on the Audio-Technica website you can watch to guide you through step-by-step. Remember that your stylus and table, once properly set up, levelled and balanced, need time to "bed in" - you'll likely notice the sound becomes richer and deeper, with finer nuances, as the cartridge components get "into their stride", so it'll take a week or two maybe to develop the best sound.
Ask the Richer Sounds staff about accessories and advice if you need it or you're at all unsure about anything. Most are serious audiophiles themselves and will do all they can to help.

Staff at shop were very .helpful and arranged home delivery when I could only opt for collect when I ordered on line. Delivery excellent with good communication Very happy with 6 year warranty. Great service all round.

I have dealt with Richer Sounds over the years mostly for audio items and have always been very happy.
Staff have always been helpful in both the store and on the phone as they where this time around too.

First time I've ever bought a TV from Richer Sounds, different experience this time around.

I called the store on a Sunday morning to discuss
the offer of a 6 year guarantee again, as i had been into Currys the day before. An extra years warranty sounds great compared to the 5 years Currys offer, i thought.
Turns out its not quite what it seems?
Turns out there is only a 1 or 2 year guarantee in place from Samsung and the additional years of the guarantee is done by Richer Sounds good graces.
After finding that out, i asked the question what happens if my TV breakdowns and cant be fixed in year 5, will it be replaced with a like for like model? To my surprise i was told no it wont !
I asked why not as its guaranteed?
I was told yeah, it is guaranteed but we will only refund you a percentage of the cost of your TV of what it cost you at the time of purchase?
The actual amount of money i would be refunded as per my initial question about my TV breaking down in year 5 of the guarantee was not disclosed. I was only told it would be worked out as a percentage?
I had never heard of this before from any one else?

In the past with Curry's i have had issues with TVs that where deemed uneconomical to repair and i have had the TV replaced no questions asked?
I asked the same questions at Curry's about the 5 year guarantee, the day before buying my new TV from Richer Sounds and was told, nope, we will replace the TV and there was no talk of percentages of cost paid.
I find this percentage of cost talk unusual and i would advise any future customers to be aware of the ins and outs of this before purchase.
Perhaps this is normal practice every where accept Curry's and i just didn't know but for me its a case of buyer beware as far as this 6 year guarantee is concerned as to me its not really a guarantee as per what i was used to when dealing with Currys previously.

Now, the TV itself, I was told by the fella on the phone, "there where only 6 of the TVs i wanted left at your storage HQ and if i didn't act quickly id miss out". Trying to get someone at the store in order to buy it was hard as you where very busy and the phone calls kept getting answered and then i was told yeah, you will get a call back from the fella i was dealing with. The call never came.
Eventually i gave up and just ordered the TV online from your website as i didn't want to miss out on one of the TVs if indeed there where only 6 left.

The website experience wasn't the best.
I filled out the required info as requested. It even noted the payment address and delivery address where the same. I made the payment and it all went through. I had secured one of these remaining "6" TVs.
All good i thought until i got my thank you for your purchase email.
This now informs me that the TV would be delivered to the Glasgow store 25 miles away for me and i will be called and allocated a time to now go and pick it up?
Now i'm wasting even more time as i'm back on the phone trying to sort this delivery mess out.
Very disappointing and honestly, it was really not worth the hassle.

Had Curry's had any stock of the TV i wanted i would have bought it from there and would have had, in my opinion, a more solid guarantee and most likely no website glitches.

The Tvs getting delivered today so here's hoping all is well. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
