Brought a brand new ride on car for my sons 4th Birthday from this company. We assembled and charged for the specified time on the morning of his birthday when we switched it on the car started to release smoke from where the battery powered engine is. It smelt and looked like it was ready to blow up. The car lights and engine stayed on even after turning it off. Emailed the company who advised they would need pictures and videos to investigate further. We have done this and sent them last Thursday still not received a response!!!! I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing the car really poor service and the response through email is shocking an immediate refund should be actioned as this is clearly a faulty item.

And they have left a reply to this but won’t email me back or phone me Amazing that 😤 AVOID they should be closed down I bought a powered car for a birthday present and it came broken and not usable then after spending 4 hours trying to get through on the phone that doesn’t go to anywhere they emailed me back after 7 emails and said they will not replace or refund as it can still be used unbelievable also came scratched all over. Now going direct to my bank for a refund and going to leave reviews and posts about this company so hopefully others will not use

I bought my son a car for Christmas which to be honest wasn’t very good quality but he loved it, he rode on it a few times indoors never taken outside and it stopped working. All I’ve done is e-mail this company and they get back to me with ‘we’ve passed this in to our technical team’ and then ‘try this and try that’ this has been going in for about two months now and god knows how many emails and still the issue has not been resolved.
I have never wrote a review for anything in my life but am really fed up with the fact that I have a very disappointed two year old with a car he cannot play with and the way it’s been dealt with or rather not been dealt with. Take my advice and don’t use this company!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I bought a ride on car from this company for my Son as a Christmas present.
When I came to assemble the car I found several faults. Brackets has snapped under the back wheels of the car, screws had been over tightened causing the screws to go straight through the body of the car and on the whole it was not what I was expecting for £100.
I filled out the 'contact us' form on their website stating that I was not satisfied and asked how to go about returning the car. I didn't receive confirmation of my complaint and have yet to receive any contact from the company regarding my issue. I have since left another 3 messages o their website and have phoned them twice, leaving voice mails on both occasions...I am still awaiting a response.
I will be taking my complaint to trading standards...I just wish I had read reviews before going anywhere near these cowboys!!!

Car turned up in a terrible condition with screws missing and parts not attached to the car. Pieces of broken plastic left sharp edges so absolutely not safe for a child. Due to scratches on the side and dirt on the 'new' car I think the product had already been returned to them and they simply re-packaged it and sold it to me. Have been trying to contact them for over a week via phone and email but not a single response. Am now exploring my legal options. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I bought an Audi for my son and it was a good service. Ordered on Tuesday and delivered to me on Wednesday, exactly what I wanted.

I bought a toy car from this company that had some screws missing. They sent them straight away without any fuss. The car is great and my son loves it, the remote is good fun too.

I bought a ride on car for my in September. It was delivered quickly and works really well. The plates arrived a few days later like they said. Happy customer.

Delivered in 18 hours and much better than expected, really pleased.

Sir, not the first time we are purchasing Battery driven Toy cars, we had got 2 for my nephew last year and 1 2 years before from halford and ebay. friend of mine suggested rideoncars (have more options) and we tried this time but sorry not happy at all.

1) we have got an R8 SIZE WISE the leg space not enough for 2 year kid, forget 3 year old.
2) Extremely disappointed with CAR Body ( CHEEP Plastic) and the finish ( windscreen, doors, edges most of the places) very rough cut edges--> very easy for the kids to get hurt.. (cuts the skin off) ** NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL ..( few photos attached)
3) The rear wheel touch the body.. hence friction/noise when the car is driven.the sweky sound is awful..photos attached
4) Scratches on the car body ..Photos attached
5) Forward and Backward motors do not work as expected all the times ( some times resolves restarting the car)

** Basically NOT HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT ** want a full refund.
or give me an option ( Send me the Best Selling model which is working good and product quality very good. happy to pay the difference if required later reviewed).

Tried reaching you number many number of times (Phone: 01242 808465) ..have left Voice mail and no one answers like the review and blogs says. shame I realized it later.

Unfortunately I cannot give this company no stars or I would be. After having such a bad service I came online to find some information about the company, I was horrified after reading some of the reviews and shocked that this company is still trading. I ordered a 12v ride on car for my sons 2nd birthday, we received it very quickly which was probably the only good thing this company has done. After opening the cardboard box there was no bubble wrap or any packaging protecting the car, problem number one. The car has scuffs scratches and dents, huge dents on the doors. I was so upset. Contacted the company via the contact us form which stated they would get back to us within 4 working hours (of course this wasn't the case). After a week of emails from us we finally received an email stating: The best solution would be for us to return the car to them and for a refund to be processed as they cannot 100% guarantee the replacement item would not have any damage. I mean what kind of company is this! The car looks like I've brought it 2nd hand from shpock! Now I am furious. Found a number online (I will leave this below) and spoke to a guy who didn't really care about my wasted time and the fact that I was so annoyed with their customer service or lack of, not once was I apologised to for this disgusting service I was just told I am more than welcome for having my time wasted. So now I am waiting on a return label which he kindly reminded me that I wouldn't have to pay for!! Excuse me but what did they want a thank you? I then have to package the car up and take it to a ups drop off point, another inconvenience. Once they have received it I will get a refund within 3 days. Luckily I have been organised this year and have some time left to find a reliable reputable company to order my little ones present from. Please please do not use this company they are very unreliable very hard to get hold of and cannot guarantee your child will get the item you have paid for in immaculate condition, something which really annoys me. Do not contact them via the number in their website as you will not get an answer, they trade as Tigristoys.co.uk and their number is 01242 808375. I hope this helps someone who have also been frauded by this awful company.

I might be being a little bit generous with 3 stars but the car works for the time being and that's the main thing. We bought the Sporty Audi Q7 Style SUV and aome custom plates for £150.

First of all the instruction booklet that comes with this model is next to useless, it mentions tools / accessories needed to put the wheels together for example that aren't even included in the set you buy and the majority of it (especially relating to the RC remote) is written is such bad English it's impossible to understand.

Secondly, there's something not right with the back wheels, they come loose off the plastic cog which is connected to the motor that turns them quite a lot. We put these back wheels together exactly as shown in the diagram of the instruction booklet but it's almost as if the rear "axel" bar is too long and there is side to side play in the rear wheels causing them to come loose.

We will solve this by sticking the cog to the wheel with some strong adhesive and to be honest this is the way it should be anyway to prevent this from happening.

The overall build quality while not amazing is probably not the worst around although there are 3 LEDs in the rear light that didn't work from the start. Not a big deal although I would like to try and get these repaired if possible.

My overall advice would be to anyone living in the UK, just go to Smyth's Toy Store instead, I sure wish I had of done now. Their cars are also in the same price range as the cars on rideoncars.co.uk but Smyth's are an obviously much more reputable company. Unfortunately it hadn't even crossed my mind to look there before I bought one.

I brought 2 seater 4x4 which come as a 1 seater, completely the wrong car, the car was also faulty, power switch was broke, phoned the company for a full refund, but the company tried ripping me off by sending a power switch, got intouch with CAB (citizen advise burro) with in 7 days of sending the car back paypal decided my case was right and got my full refund, to who ever thinks about buying from RIDEONCARS i'd read all comments before making your decision!!!.

There customer service is non existent. Nobody will answer calls or reply to emails. Should be renamed rideon cowboys!

I am really surprised by some of the reviews on this site.
I ordered a Defender 4x4 - Electric Car last Thursday. It was far from the most expensive (costing £139) and was delivered (as promised) on Friday. I assembled it reasonably quickly on Saturday and my grandson was driving around in it on Sunday.
It arrived well packaged, nothing was broken and, so far, everything is working perfectly.
I had read the reviews on this site before I ordered, but Ride On Cars were the only website that could meet my delivery requirements. I therefore knew I was taking a chance and am delighted to say the chance was worth it.
I am totally satisfied.

I didnt check the review of this company before I ordered. If I had I may of been scared off. I choose this website as it had the best selection of ride on cars within a range of budgets. The car arrived 2 days after ordering which was great. We also ordered a number plate sticker which I am still waiting for but received an email back from them within 12 hours so say it will arrive soon via royal mail. The quality of the car we ordered so far is great, its a gift for my son and has not been used yet, only tested briefly. The manual with the car says it take 20 minutes to assemble but I would realistically add an hour to that time. I would honestly pay more for it to come assembled. It was quite fiddly connecting wires ect. But so far I am happy with the product and service I have received from this company.

I bought a go kart for my son from this company, but due to him getting a duplicate gift, I had to return it. I did so following their procedures. I tried also phoning this company and they never pick up the phone or call you back. Anyway we sent the go kart back via courier and sent it recorded and we can see they received it last Monday (a whole week ago) we are still waiting for a refund! They have stopped all email correspondence and their customer services team seems to be non existent! I'm so glad I paid by credit card as my credit card company are claiming this money back on my behalf. I'm fuming though as they think they can get away with it! My credit card company have been amazing and I'll have the money back by next week. I will never be shopping on this site again and if I was you I would stay away as they are complete fraudsters out to rip people off.

I bought a car for my sons birthday and when it came and i set it up it did not work! I emailed Ride on cars and had to go through a whole rigmarole of procedures to verify it wasn't working all of this had to be done by email as you wasn't allowed to speak to anyone direct! I then requested a refund as I was within the timescale and the car was faulty! they sent a courier to collect and then I waited a week and emailed asking where is my refund!they said that they had to have it tested by there staff at the warehouse! I then receive and email with pictures and a video attached saying that the car was working and that I had used the car! the pictures and video were not the same car I had been sent as it was never used and did not work/move! they only gave me a partial refund on these grounds so I got back less what I actually paid for the car! I wish I had read the feedback before purchase, I would never have bought anything from them and I can see its a regular scam that they do! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY ARE FRAUDS

I've tried 3 times to order from their website, first two instances website crashed, and third time when I actually got an order confirmation, it got canceled due to "failing security checks".
They called to confirm details over the phone, using a blocked number, so I categorically refused to provide any details. I later received an email cancelling my order, so to save my son's Easter, ran to the local Toys R Us and bought it from there.

This company is the closes I've seen so far to a scamming company, and wouldn't recommend to anyone, even if their prices are good!

Ordered a car from her for my sons birthday, it worked twice before breaking and had bits of plastic snapping off it after only one use.

The customer service manager told me that if I wanted something of decent quality then they had a car for sale for over £1k if I would prefer to purchase that one, I said I thought the one I'd already purchased should be fit for purpose.

They asked me to send the car back for investigations but once they had the car and my money stopped responding to emails. My credit card thankfully got my money back for me.
