My teenage daughter had been struggling with excessively oily hair and some hair loss for two years. The constant battle to style her hair in a way that concealed the oiliness, along with the exhausting daily wash cycle, was really taking a toll on her. No shampoo seemed to make a difference, and she was starting to lose hope.

Then she had a consultation with Wil in Edinburgh. From the moment she met him, she felt reassured that she was in capable and confident hands. Seeing her hair follicles magnified was a turning point—it helped her understand what was happening and made the problem feel less overwhelming. Wil prescribed a specific shampoo, explaining that it would take about six weeks to show results. He also checked in via email a couple of times, which meant a lot.

Like magic, we both started to notice a real change. Her hair texture improved, and she no longer needed to wash it as frequently.

I can’t thank the clinic enough. At 16, with the pressures of exams and teenage life, this treatment has given her so much hope and confidence that things can get better.

I was treated with dignity and compassion and felt that I was understanding the way forward.
I have a very compromised health situation which requires me to take a lot of medication and Lisa knew exactly what to advise for my personal diagnosis. It was a unique conversation with me. and Lisa addressed all the information that I had initially given in the questionnaire.
I have information now to help deal with my individual condition and can confidently move forward to heal and repair.

Having been concerned about my once thick and full head of hair, becoming thinner all over, I was recommended to go to Wil at Root Cause Clinical by a friend who had similar issues. After completing a thorough and in-depth questionnaire (take the time to do this properly as it is so important for the consultation), I had an appointment to go over these details and for Wil to look microscopically at my hair.
Wil took time to explain everything he was doing, checked back with the details in the questionnaire and fully explained the options open to me. Whilst I am still deciding the best course of action for me, I would highly recommend the clinic. There are many different options available to you and, whilst I only had the initial investigation, I was impressed with how professionally everything was handled, and feel confident that they have helped me find a solution to resolve the issues with my hair.

I went into my appointment feeling really worried and insecure about the recent thinning of my hair. However as soon as I sat down and listened to what Wil had to say my mind was eased right away. It was made very clear from the beginning that Wil was an expert and he addressed all of my concerns in a simple way that made it easy to understand. He provided me with a diagnosis, possible causes of my hair thinning, and products to help with my dermatitis. By the end of the consultation I felt not only relieved but also highly informed. I walked into the salon feeling very insecure and worried about my protracted hair loss problems. However, the consultation with Will helped me feel relaxed and at ease. Will patiently went through my records, scanned my scalp and explained the pictures as well as the diagnosis. I was lucky enough to have a online class seminar with Will in my college before Christmas.Will was Amazing and had a vast range of knowledge about scalp disorders,the cause and effects of these and how to treat or advise clients according to their concerns.I feel I gained a better understanding and knowledge of these concerns on order to educate my clients or recommend particular treatment plans.Also an insight into giving a better consultation when treating a client with these concerns.Trichology is a subject I am interested in gaining greater knowledge in and im grateful to Will and Victoria for their time for this introduction to Trichology.
