Poor quality, fixtures and fittings are poor quality. Communication has taken days to reply. And no resolution for the complaints that I've made not even a partial refund as a gesture. And then told not to reply to them. As I told them, I will be informing trust pilot and trading standards absolutely, disgraceful company.
None of this is for malicious gain. And nothing I've put is blackmail. Just very disgrumbled, by the way, the company carries on and has responded.
Simply for the price of the bed. It's so not worth it. Would never buy there again.

Genuinely baffled by what I am reading on here!

-This is NOT flatpack furniture
-This is RUSTIC - Imperfections are a given and for us county folk - admired!
-Built correctly - NO NOISE
-Communications - Always a prompt response

Id been watching these beds on Etsy for a while. A mishap during a house move forced our hand at purchasing and Ive no regrets!

Solid! Sturdy! Rustic! Exactly as stated in description!

Yes it took two of us to build but considering ive built most of our flatpack furniture alone that states two, I wasnt grumbling for something so sturdy requiring two! I used a spirit level to make sure side beams were level. I like the fact we could choose how high to have the base ourselves too! We used an electric drill to screw the slats in place. Its been up since September 2024 and I have no problems with creaking either. Which after my previous Silent Night wooden bed frame and its continuous creaking with every breath! Im very glad of. Id assumed wood just made noise! Apparently not…

My only concern is its too heavy for me to move alone to hoover or rearrange furniture 🤣

I love my bed and should it need to be dismantled and rebuilt, I will adapt for any loose screws or additional support needed as I would with any built piece of furniture. They ALL require an extra something upon rebuild as most are not designed like Lego pieces and do not tolerate dismantling and rebuilding. Its really not rocket science 🤷🏻‍♀️. Please note mention of previous Silent Night wooden bed frame again - it was dismantled once in its lifespan (17yrs) and required wood glue and extra screws to rebuild too (and constant tightening of screws and bolts over time).

All in all a beautiful bed that I enjoy spending time in!

Couldn’t put together a jigsaw never mind a bed. Avoid at all costs

I had an awful experience with Rustic Roots Furniture and would strongly urge anybody that is thinking of purchasing from them to reconsider.
I’ve never dealt with such poor and unprofessional communication with another adult, it takes at least a few days to get an email reply to any question or queries and when they do come back it’s with an attitude problem.
Our bed took 7 weeks from order to delivery (which is fine and their website states a 5-7 week lead time) and was delivered on the 20th of December.
On delivery we noticed a some major issues with the bed.
-The headboard and footboard had large gaps between pieces of wood and the dowels were visible.
-The edges were not sanded smooth.
-There were scratches due to lack of care and packaging during transit
-The stain was patchy in places.
-Where the headboard was fixed to the posts, this was wonky meaning the bed wouldn’t sit flush to the wall.
-The brackets also got bent (assuming during transit) which didn’t give me much faith that this bed would be as sturdy as the website claims.

We tried to call to discuss but received a text message saying that he was driving so he was unable to answer the phone but can chat via text (go figure..?!)
We raised our concerns and were met with “we’re closed now until the 2nd of January” and he would deal with it on his return to work.
This was unacceptable to us as a superking bed sat in my dining room over Christmas was just not feasible. So he asked us to deal with the courier ourselves.
The courier stated he was not able to return until the 23rd of December and it could be collected at a charge of £60.
We went back to Rustic Roots and he eventually agreed to cover this cost after some back and forth.
We had still heard nothing from them regarding the returned bed by the 11th of January despite chasing and getting no reply.
Finally he called me back and advised due to the weather he had not yet received the bed back by the courier, however some kind of communication regarding this in the first place would have been welcome. He told us that as soon as the bed is returned to him, he will issue a refund, no mention of fixing the issues or even an apology.
On the 14th of January we received an email stating that the slats were not returned with the bed, and asked us to return them. Obviously the courier had collected exactly what had been delivered, as we had nowhere to store it, as we had previously discussed with him.
We FINALLY received the refund yesterday, the first of February because he apparently couldn’t find the payment on his records.

I genuinely believe that if we had not persisted with chasing him up, we would have never received any communication from him and certainly not a refund.

Customer care and product quality are clearly not a priority. The whole process has been painfully long and drawn out and quite frankly a complete headache.

EDIT: Well I think that response speaks for itself really. I myself had minimal contact as my husband dealt with the majority. I made a brief phone call and a couple of messages to chase the refund, all of which were polite.
I didn’t have space in my dining room for a superking bed due to entertaining family over Christmas.
I required proof of the refunds due to the previous unreliability.
It’s such a shame that it’s not possible to add photos to these reviews.

People buying beds from here need to understand in advance that you need joinery skills and tools to put the bed together. This is not a flat pack and he expects you to use guide blocks and electric tools to finish the job. The beds are also not designed to be assembled and disassembled as they use screws instead of a bolting system, so once assembled in a room expect it to be there forever. He also doesn't use dowel rods for extra support which is why lots of people mention creaking. The fixings provided aren't really adequate for the job, and mine were bent in transit anyway. As it is I liked the bed itself, but I was unable to put it together and as the joints were no good for disassembly I attempted to find a local joiner to do it for me, but no one will touch it. On going back to the company I was told in no uncertain terms that it wasn't his fault if I wasn't smart enough to put the bed together and, I had left it too long to return the bed (having spent time looking for a joiner who could help) he did not understand my problem and I could not return it. So we have paid for a half made pile of wood that we can't use. I am needing to resort to small claims court to get a refund.

This response is untrue in part. A return has been encouraged, not just a refund. He has said himself that is is possible that removing the screws for disassembly may cause damage that requires the purchase of new larger screws for reassembly, or for the bed to be screwed back together differently. The reason it has taken so long is that we have tried every possible option to keep the bed by attempting to find a local joiner who can change the assembly to a bolt system so it can be disassembled without causing defect. What was true is that we were given estimates in the hundreds because nobody wants to touch someone else's half finished furniture. The bed bits are supplied with "pilot blocks" which the purchaser is supposed to use to ensure they put the bed together level because there are no guide markings. This proves for me that a level of skill is necessary to finish initial assembly. I have said all of these things in my communications and he behaves like I haven't said anything of value. If you want customer service, run a mile. If you want all the bits to build a bed yourself still run a mile. If you want a load of bits that you then have to add different fixings to to then build a bed yourself, he's your man. I just don't think that's what I was sold.

Having not seen the as delivered condition that the bed is in still, I have been accused of using it, breaking it and being completely unreasonable for wanting to return it in delivery condition and receive a refund, at which time he would be perfectly entitled to resell it without any work. I think, under the circumstances, that is perfectly reasonable.

Bed took a few weeks longer than estimated delivery date. It finally arrived after 3 last minute changes of delivery date which meant 2 unnecessary days taken off work by me. The bed looks nice, has a great finish and looks great quality with thick timber. However the main point of concern is how noisy and squeaky the bed is, any movement i.e. turning over, moving a leg and it creaks very loudly. I do not know how to rectify this, and considering I paid nearly £600 for this frame, I would expect better quality. The footboard on the bed I ordered is also supposed to be high, but it is a lot smaller than the headboard and when laid on the bed it does not look any higher than an average footboard. For these reasons, I would not order from this company again unfortunately.

Recently got a full panel bed from RRF. It's stunning and I absolutely love it. The timber and the finish is just great. I was able to customise it which was really helpful. 7 weeks lead time and some issues with shipping, but it was worth the wait and in the end RRF brought it in themselves and assembled it at the same time. The whole process took 20 minutes and it was ready to go. I really appreciated this, because it would have taken me a lot longer. Great job RRF. I'll be coming back for some other bits.

So made up with my King size bed. I asked if it could be made to a particular spec and David matched it completely. I’m so pleased with it. It was also very easy to put together.
The bed will last me a lifetime..not only for its quality, durability and craftsmanship but I will never want another bed as this bed is perfect!

For what was an expensive bed we've been incredibly disappointed. It's poorly built, with flimsy brackets. Customer service wasn't great with hardly any Comms. We've ended up drilling holes and adding screws and extra wood to brace the bed. Even so it's still not very sturdy. Generally very disappointing.

We ordered a bed from a major retailer - it arrived broken and although "Oak" it was in fact MDF. We then looked for an alternative. We found Rustic Roots and fell in love with the style. We phoned David and he couldn't have been more helpful, so we emailed our requirements. The bed, when it arrived, exceeded our expectations. It didn't have any instructions, but my son and I managed to work out the construction method. It is the most good-looking and sturdy bed. Don't go anywhere else for a well-made bed and excellent service.

Lovely table. Just as shown in the pictures. Easily put together. The wood looks like it's got a history- which is exactly what I wanted. Sturdy and solid. Will last forever.
Considerately delivered- courier followed very specific instructions about where to leave the table.

As for the bed. …. Wow. Such lovley quality and defiantly looks rustic ! My daughter loves it. Very easy to assemble ( instructions on their website ).

We recently purchased a bed from rustic roots and are absolutely thrilled with how it looks!
Easy process from the off, order was placed and we were kept updated of progress.
Delivery was bang on time and the bed was easy to assemble. It looks amazing, so much so have just placed an order for bedside cabinets and mirror to match.
Highly recommended.

I recently ordered both the dining table and the mirror, all I can say is wow!!!! Such high quality items and such a conversation starter, my friends love them as much as I do.

Highly recommend this company. We ordered a dining table and ottoman from these guys, I have to say you wouldn’t be able to buy what they make in the high street. It’s just gorgeous! The reclaimed timber has its own characteristics, has a rustic vibe to it and the white wash was perfect when it arrived. We kept in contact with them through out the building process, discussing the measurements, colour, we even had progress photos to show us the white wash once it was done. Delivery was great, came on time no quibbles. We are even thinking about purchasing another set and have recommended to work colleagues, family and friends. You just cannot buy this quality on the high street for the prices they offer. Great company and great service!

Had a custom made TV unit from these guys. The build quality is incredible.. Feels sturdy.. Looks great. Its exactly how I imagined it would be and more. James helped me to customise the smallest aspects of the unit and even sent some suggestions to enhance how it would look and function. Delivery was prompt.. On time and the driver was pleasant. We couldn't be happier with the service we received and I have already recommended the guys to many of my friends. Guests to our house always notice the furtinture and ask where we got it. Currently looking to get some more off them when we next can..
