I like it at Salvation Army. There's some people that like to think and say bad thing's. But in my truest feeling's those are just people who are ungrateful.
I see resources They offer to take people off the street's, Help people become able to stop their addiction's, They help families feed and clothe their households, AND BRING THEM CLOSER TO GOD.

This is a great place and I would trust coming to them with anything To give help or to be helped.

This is about the Salvation Army Veterans and Family center in oregon, These guys are handsomely paid by the VA to stuff us 2 per room, they get alot of money per veteran they house, sounds good right ? Wrong, they constantly enter those rooms, go through your personal belonging and steal from you, if you complain, they threaten to kick you out, they own an entire neighborhood right next to the building, that no one lives in, the cops hassle you just for walking down the public sidewalk that surrounds this neighborhood they own, and a veteran lost his life in front of the building, because he lost control due to the treatment he received there, and they called the cops who came out and killed him, this place is not operated by christians, not at all.

Aparentemente es todo un ejército con una visión maravillosa que pretende servir a Dios y extender la mano a los hombres, pero en realidad es un cascarón vacío con gente que trabaja en función de charreteras y estrellas con falta de empatía. Mi experiencia es muy íntima porque fui oficial y no puedo sentirme más avergonzada por lo que representa haber trabajado con gente de esta categoría. The lady named Veronica is so unprofessional I came in from work and ask for my food and this lady refused to feed me told me they had no more tissue and no face clothes to get for a bath. This place takes ten percent out your check if your working but they never have any supplies . Can you stay at this place and work third shift ? No because you have to be up at 530 Am and out by 9 Am . Would I refer anyone to stay here if the work? No better off getting a room for rent because you still have a curfew.

Stole my money
I haven’t used Salvation Army for 3 years but the company decided to take $278 out of my account without asking, never sending a bill and after speaking to them today they said someone was going to contact me and I have sat here all day waiting for a call that isn’t coming. Taking money out of someone’s account without asking is ILLEGAL and will be notifying the Ombudsman

My son was placed there from a psyche hospital..he had been homeless and wallet was stolen..they would not accept him because he had no ID..he slept on the street that night..severe seizure disorder...do not support the Salvation Army..EVER

I have worked at Salvation Army for two years but I have to quit my job that I have for two years because of my poor judgment and the management gave me a reason to quit. The management is very poor and staff that work there for so long have to leave for that reason. I will never step into a Salvation Army store ever again.

SA cafe in Mold North Wales was clean, including toilet, friendly. Food was fresh tasty and quick.

Breach of trust with religion religion is supposed to be a home not a prison. Brenda Pittman should be reprimanded and retrained. Just fire black j.c. Ferrell from central division because. He didnt do the due diligence. Because he has lots of research and development on her.And he refused to use it. And J.C. Ferrel and he was. The personal officer of moral and ethical issues. An abuse of that position as well. She's not religious smart of caring. She does not care about God's or mans laws. The worst place to be as Kabib says Alhambdililllal

Miles away to get food and doesn't give them the chance to warm up .Even though it -43 with out a wind factor or colder then she makes the people drive back home on the bike with no. Chance to warm up. Hence they are riding on. A bike for 4.04 miles in below freezing Cold ❄️🥶.She only wants her profit her her comfort and her wealth .Some days it might be the coldest on record like 62 below zero.

She is cruel to her flock. She bears false witness. She has no problem blaming you but will never take responsibility .She disqualifies people with Insult. And she actually lies on purpose. Her actions don't match what she say in purpose. She was not tries to get the people to make bag lunches when she does she gets them to assemble. But she does not see the people or invite them to go to church .She just have goons like mark and Bob to make sure that sure that they don't get to meet her or go to church . Clearly against the salvation army principals of getting them to meet see or hear Jesus listen to words about Jesus She has been at this job for 30 years a disgruntled employee of salvation army but making Bank .And using the salvation army. She chases away the upper brass from meeting the people or flock She gets to spend her time with the brass and lying like she's doing a great doing a great job.And she doesn't let the higher brass meet the people or see her work.everytime the higher brass show up like the Richardson. She always meet the higher brass and lies like she's trying to get them here .But her deeds and actions when the brass is gone show that that isn't true Again She doesn't have to have to get the people to come to church.Roughly defacto she chases away the congregation. For example she has audio sounds on everybody else conversations on .And skips herself even when she does her own sermon. Paul who was the father of someone she hired as a social worker tried plenty of times to get her to do a free broadcast was summarily turned down and told yo forget to forget doing the broadcast because she paid him. She figures that she question the ways that people live and care for others if it means different for m the way she is teaching. And there also is a small or no crowd. She said s also a racist which uses colonialist and heteronormative to control her flock and employees she is also nearly 60 .Which means she she is old enough to know better . She is also known as a hoarder of toys.

Rude Staff At Salvation Army Narborough Road Charging People £1 For A Secondhand Carrier Bag!! And They Seem To Hate You Buying Something Decent Out Of The Shop (When They Get it in) They Just Seem Really Jealous That They Couldn't Afford It Themselves But Yeah Poor Peasants Work Here!

The manageress of the local shop has been extremely rude to a number of volunteers and customers.
Head office has been informed but did not act or take heed

Tried repeatedly to phone the Salvation Army furniture centre at Filton Bristol to donate my kitchen table and four chairs which are in very good condition.
No luck so I called into the Shop and indifference was very apparent. “We don’t answer the phone, we are busy in the shop.”
What every minute of the day ?
Was eventually given a mobile number, “This is the bloke who collects the furniture ring him.”
Gee thanks !
Rang this number 3 times, no answer, left a message and requested a return call.
Guess what ? No contact.
My respect for the Salvation Army has dropped off considerably.
No interest in the shop, nobody answers the phone, the collection ‘bloke’ ( their description) doesn’t answer his mobile or return calls.
SERVICE totally non existent.
Rang British Heart Foundation, phone answered, pleasant young lady sorted out collection date there and then.
Salvation Army that’s called SERVICE.

I contacted Lichfield Salvation army regarding furniture and household goods collection i spoke to Sharon and she was very helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble.
The collection was arranged for a couple of days later 2 men came and they were fast and efficient and very considerante when moving furniture out of the flat it was a great experience at very sad times

Got a food hamper for single male. In it I got this.
1 rotten potato
1 old lemon
1 avocado
1 can of kidney beans
3 tiny expensive packs of perishable berries.
some old kale,
1 pack of mr noodles.
1 can of soup.
1 kids juice box
1 bag of stale hot dog buns with no hotdogs.
AND random junk food no 1 would want to buy.

You cant make a meal from any of this, why not a bag of apples for cheaper then the berries that have a longer shelf life?

I have never just eaten just a can of kidney beans or a lemon. I'm sure these don't go well with kale.

This is supposed to last 2 weeks. What a joke of a food hamper. I think they are keeping all the good food for them selves. The lady was over 500lbs that gave it.

I scheduled to have a couch and recliner picked up on Thursday, May 30, 2024. The two gentlemen came, and they rejected my furniture because it had some scratches. I was extremely disappointed and now I am stuck paying to have my old furniture removed. I am unsure why Salvation Army denied my furniture when on their website it states, "The Salvation Army meets human need wherever, whenever, and however we can." Certainly, there are many needs in our community and instead of passing furniture on to the needy, they were only interested in selling the furniture in their stores. There are so many homeless shelters, group homes, refuges that could benefit from used furniture. Once again, greed comes before the needs of others.

I made a donation for Christmas (as a family we don’t buy Christmas presents but it’s still nice to donate to a charity instead).
I keep receiving mail asking for donations .. I can’t stand receiving mail from ‘anyone’ the waste of postage and paper is unnecessary.. it goes straight into the recycling bin!
I only donate on my terms, to whom and when.
They’ve spoilt it for themselves now, I most probably won’t make any more donations because of this.

Turned up at the Hinckley branch with two plastic containers containing household items, we kindly asked if could decant said items from boxes as we wished to keep them whilst we continued the removal of items from my late mother in laws property. We were surprisingly spoken to in a very abrupt manner being told they couldn't help us do this, we calmly said that all we needed was a bin of some nature to assist. Reply back was a no as the shop was shutting in 10mins!!! We have since gone to Cancer Research in Hinckley and the difference in staff attitude was the complete opposite, very helpful and supportive. My wife was left upset and would never donate anything to The Salvation Army or recommend them.....

I LOVE THIS SHOP!!! i absolutely love it. its where i get my whole wardrobe from, go there with a £10 note, every month when i get my pocket money. i usually get loads of opened makeup, and many cute clothes!!

We send a pic of the furniture we wanted donate. They scheduled a pickup date. We are both seniors and had to move the furniture to the garage for pickup. They came and look at the furniture and said we dont want it. Should have told us when we send in the pic of the furniture. Will not deal with Salvation Army again.
