To my big surprise, I was very happy to find out that SCS are "poltrone&sofa" retail. They are a well know brand for quality, durability and design.
I was helped Jerry, who has been outstanding in provide guidance and suggestions. He was super knowledgeable, friendly and polite. He really helped making my decision.

11am opening time on a Sunday morning and Jerry promptly approached us with a warm and welcoming smile.

This was our 2nd visit after visiting a few months earlier and we were returning to view 1 specific model of sofa gain (Mellizano). Unfortunately that model was no longer in store.

Jerry listened to what we like about that model, and what we wanted in an alternative. He guided us calmly around, explaining options and ideas as we went. It was clear at this point that this wasn't going to be a quick sofa decision!

Roll forward about 6 hours of total shop floor time, and two further visits we met with Jerry once again on the following Wednesday evening.

Again service was amazing, we were all still cared for and encrouaged all whilst maintaining an empathetic distance to allow us to process it all.

Jerry was still working hard in the background! Preparing the order as we talked ourselves in circles. Ultimately, when we were at about 95% Jerry stepped up and showed us his workings. It was the last 5% we needed and the order was placed!

Everything from insurance to delivery and payments were explained clearly, and accurately, and my whole family was well catered for through the entire lengthy process.

How hard can it be to get confirmation that an order has been cancelled. I have put reviews on here previously, my credit card company are dealing with a chargeback and all I am asking the store for is email confirmation that my order has been cancelled. This is the Purley Way Croydon store, absolutely pointless having a manger in there as all she can do is email other back office departments, or so she tells me. I have been asking for email confirmation for a week now and still received nothing. SCS are a joke of a company and I’m done being Mrs nice now, I will be taking action. It’s not rocket science, you don’t have my money, just cancel my order and then I will never have anything to do with you again !!!

Very helpful in the store. The staff were magnificent and coffee was given to me and the obvious. Many patterns to choose from and delivery was well informative with texts and a final call when an hour away. The delivery driver were very careful when entering the property. Thank well recommended.

Ordered a sofa for family home as I was expecting twins, unfortunately the day after purchasing we suffered a miscarriage and no longer needed the bigger sofa so the store agreed as it was within 5 days we could change the order which we did so. I came into store which is around 50 mins from me and picked a new one with no hassle advised I would get a call and email within 24 hours confirming the change of direct debit instructions and finance agreement etc that never came. Chased again a few days later and was told 24 hours, and again that never came. I then received an email finally with incorrect pricing on! So contacted Mo direct,Then received a call from Mo who advised me that it was infact incorrect and needed to be am need and he would call me tomorrow to confirm. Well 4 days went by and AGAIN I had to do the chasing.
I have called twice more now chasing and requested to cancel the order now as my final call was with the assistance manager osa I think her name was who told me she will send a cancellation order request through after she promised yesterday to call me today with all the amendments and the email I finally needed. will be taking further.

Update number 3
Personally no stars. Absolutely appalled. Obviously sofa arrived and Dismantler realised a metal bar was snapped and that it was faulty. He asked if I wanted it taken away. I have pics of the bar which is actually dangerous. After speaking to someone from aftercare she said to deal with store. I went Into the Croydon store on Tuesday and requested a refund. Osa agreed that the bar was not good and that I would get a refund. However she had to speak to a regional manager to give the go ahead in which she tried calling and emailed him on Tuesday. Refused to give me my refund of nearly £2600 which I desperately need as have no sofa and have been without one since feb. I have had nothing but lies and apparently the regional manager still has not responded to Osa. My son in law rang as this has really stressed me out and Osa told him to call head office. Well we would but no one will give you the head office number. I have booked tomorrow off work meaning I will lose another days pay and stay in the store all day until I get my refund. If this doesn’t happen I will get back in touch with my bank and report it to the fraud department as they are aware of this happening to many customers. I would 100% recommend customers doing their research before purchasing. First stage in the shop was great and the sales rep could t be more helpful and also asked me to give a review. After that it all changes and no one wants to deal with the issues.
Under the consumer protection regulations and Scs’s policy I am entitled to a full refund for the item I purchased on 21st February 2025 which was eventually sent for delivery on Monday 2nd June which was unfortunately faulty upon arrival and the Dismantler realised this whilst dismantling it in their van before bringing it into my home, they return it to the Croydon store.
The experience and poor customer services in attempts to resolve issues on everything with this order has been unhelpful support, lies and no call backs.
I am putting everything here as there is not an email address for complaints or a number for head office. Both numbers you are given just out you back to the store as I haven’t received my order due to being damaged and fault. I have pics of the bars which Osa sent from my phone to the store on Tuesday

Wonderful service from SCS. Excellent communication and prompt service from the delivery team Steve & Richard. They were super helpful and respectful of the property, got the sofa all set up for me and took away all recycling! Will definitely purchase from SCS again

From the moment we walked into the store I can honestly say we have had first class experience. The guy who sold us the sofas Jerry at Croydon had excellent customer service & communication skills. We have been kept well informed of the delivery & the delivery guys were professional & respectful. The sofas are lovely really suit our room. I had always shunned SCS as before felt their products were old fashioned & not much choice but now I definitely recommend them....

We had an amazing experience at SAS today! Jerry was fantastic—so knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly very experienced. having a terrible experience with SCS. Purchased a 2 seater and 3 seater in Jan, was told if the sofa didn't fit through the door they would dis assemble it. It didn't fit, they took it back and did not hear from them again until I called them. Couldn't get through, left my number for a call back, 3 days later I got a call back. Was told they would get it re delivered and would have to pay £150 for it.
Then it came and the sofas were different colours. Again didn't hear anything after raising it. Called again and waited 3 days for a call back. They sent someone round to take samples and then did not hear anything. Called them back after a week, had to wait 3 days for a call back again. Was asked if i was happy with them being different colours! I am not, the customer service agent promised to call me back the next day and now another week has gone by. This is terrible service, I wish I had not gone to scs. Do not expect a good service

I was kept informed about my delivery, the delivery crew were wonderful & went above & beyond to get my sofa bed up stairs & were respectful of my property.
The sofa bed looks great, I can’t wait to enjoy it! Thank you

Unfortunately there was a major delay from ordering our furniture in January and receiving it in May! That said, Craig the Croydon manager dealt with this efficiently once we made him aware that our phoncalls and emails remained unanswered. Craig sorted the problem and our furniture was then delivered on the day we chose by two efficient, polite and helpful delivery men and we are thrilled with it!

Peter was amazing, helped us pick the perfect sofa & excellent customer service would recommend to everybody.

From visiting the store to delivery, everything went very smoothly.
Thank you Jerry at SCS Sofas, Croydon, for showing us in detail all sofas we were interested in.
Final payment could not be paid online and had to go to the store.
Delivery was within the given time line. Date and time of delivery as emailed and SMS was received at 7am on the day of delivery that further narrowed down the delivery time.
Delivery guys had no difficulty in bringing the sofas in through the front door although easier access to larger back door was available. Assembly took only a few minutes.

We were welcomed warmly when we entered the store.
We was looked after very well by the young man who helped us, the manager was very helpful too.
