Really disappointed, pure scam!! Very misleading and do not provide much customer support or any refunds - even if purchased upgrades way in advance. Just be careful buying upgrades. So ever... もっと見る

Mollie resolved an issue I had - she did it by educating me - and not making me feel silly for having missed something in the app. I really appreciate not just what she did but how she made me feel. Will continue to use and recommend SeatFrog to friends and family.
upgraded journey
I upgraded my journey tickets via SeatFrog. Great experience and I was a lucky to get the phrase via an auction.
Unfortunately, my train was cancelled, i was as able to travel in the next available train, but I couldn’t travel 1st class, as their was no available seats.
I claimed a refund. With 24 hours, I had a very positive response & a refund issued.
A first class service.

Purchasing the upgrade was quick easy and inexpensive.
Unfortunately the first class cabins were not operating on my train when I arrived so applied for a refund from SeatFrog. My request was handled quickly by Mollie who was friendly and polite on her email. I would highly recommend Seatfrog

Friendly customer service, ended up missing my train due to tube closures and subsequently the upgrade I paid for with seatfrog, Sanderson, the seatfrog rep was super helpful and gave me seatfrog credit back in return!
Refunds
My morning train was cancelled and I had upgraded both my outgoing and return journey via Seatfrog. I applied for a refund for both journeys as I went home and didn’t continue travelling via another route. Seatfrog responded the next day advising a full refund. The responses were polite and friendly. I attached images of my upgrade and the LNER dashboard showing the cancellation. Can’t fault the service from Seatfrog.
Beware of the bid boost process!!
I was bidding for x2 seats all week and I upped my bids the closer I go to the deadline.
I won an upgrade but to my disappointment, for only 1 seat.
The bid tool resets the number of seats you bid for, even when you choose to up the bid for a currently live bid of 2 seats.
Essentially, after bidding for 2 seats all week, the final bid reset to 1 seat leaving us with 1 upgrade for 2 people.
Safe to say, a poor experience - slow CS responses and I'm not out of pocket by £20 because of your poor interface.

Ella and team were phenomenal !! first time using Seatfrog and we had a major calamity in the family so one person could no longer come and we really wanted to change it to an hour earlier. No problem got a full refund. No questions asked we were thrilled we rebooked the two of us in our earlier and couldn't be happier. This is a genuine company and a genuine app. Please do not hesitate to book with them. Thank you so much.

Technical issue online meant when I attempted to purchase 2 first class upgrade tickets, it only provided me with 1. Contacted seatfrog to query and to request a refund. I contacted Seatfrog on 28th Nov and received a refund within a few days
Received absolutely fantastic customer service from Mollie. Brilliant service, which is rare to find this day and age. Refund already in my bank account. I'll hopefully use Seatfrog in the future and it's all down to Mollies fantastic customer service.

Great customer service from Ella. The train we’d upgraded for didn’t have First Class, but after I contacted Seatfrog, Ella issued a prompt refund. Really impressed with how quickly it was handled.
No refund when promised
Booked train from st. Pancras London to Sheffield via seatfrog for my family of 6.
Seemed reasonable. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances we had to change to an earlier train . I e mailed seatfrog and was sent an e mail explaining if I rebooked via seatfrog , pay for it, then they would refund the original booking. I paid much more than Trainline was offering to get the refund but managed to get an earlier train. I have since requested the refund but nothing. I am so angry that they made me use their platform to rebook with the promise of a refund. Do not use seatfrog. I will be deleting the app and spreading this information among friends and family.

The Customer services team were excellent when dealing with a ticket error in terms of prompt, courteous and empathetic responses. Huge thanks to Ella and Mollie for their guidance and assistance. Separately have found the app very easy to use and grateful for the last minute flexibility on fares. Highly recommended

The policy regarding upgrade refunds lacks any customer consideration or value at all. Would not recommend.

This was my first time using this service and I accidentally booked a ticket the wrong way! Mollie in customer service was absolutely lovely and gave me a refund (even though I know they usually don’t allow this). I’m really appreciative of this kind gesture! I’ll definitely use this service again it’s such a good idea especially when train tickets can be so expensive! Thanks so much! The best
This is an absolute rip off
This is an absolute rip off. Do not pay them a thing. Went on Avanti website as I was booked on the 11:36 train from Glasgow to London Euston. It showed every carriage as packed.There was just one single seat (no shared table) in Standard Premium that I wanted. So I paid just under £40 for an upgrade only to be allocated a seat facing someone, with limited space. No option to choose my seat. I get on and find the solo seat I wanted is taken by someone who hasn’t paid for standard premium. Then to rub salt in the wound, there’s a totally empty carriage ( standard class ) behind this supposed Std Premium carriage. But I can’t move to it (it’s a lot nicer than this one ) because I’ve paid for the poorer standard premium. Don’t pay any cash to them. You’ll have your pick of empty carriages which are the nicest on the whole train.
Not what it once was!!
Was once good, but now too expensive.£3 on top of what you bid, no idea why they can't just put include their fee in the price you bid.Beware of putting in too high a maximum price and find you are suddenly awarded a seat outside of the auction. Bargains now few and far between, I used to regularly get upgrades Cornwall to London for around £14, now seems starting bis is often twice that
Check Trainline 1st class prior to auction
Previously a fan for about a year up until 2-weeks ago. Unfortunately Seatfrog changed so that closing auction now 30-minutes before train departure, which is not ideal. For journeys up to around 2-hours, check Trainline. More likely to be cheaper to purchase a no hassle 1st class ticket. Recently paid £19 for an upgrade with Seatfrog. The upgrade booking directly with Trainline would have been £13.

I'm a fan of this service
I'm a fan of this service and have used it many times. Whenever I've contacted customer service, they've always met my expectations.
However a gentle note of caution for the company:
- The auctions now end 10 mins before departure. This devalues your product immensely (no chance to use the lounge and in certain circumstances, my train has started boarding before the aution ends!). If this continues, my usage of your service will drop.

No transparency about this or mention - luckily I noticed the countdown timer would end 10 mins before the train departs. This means no lounge access and a last minute rush to get to the platform and carriage. No thank you! Bids also now START at £50 which is absolutely ludicrous!! There is NO advantage to this whatsoever. Waiting for a competitor company to come along and actually provide a good product as Seatfrog is not anymore. When contacted they told me this was an ''experiment'' (but no mention of this publicly) or on the auction page.

A breeze to upgrade instantly and at a reasonable price. Saves worrying about having a seat, overcrowding, losing sight of valuable luggage etc.
Refreshments are ok and once you add up what they would have cost, it kind of breaks even. Staff on Cross Country are some of the friendliest I've encountered.
You usually get the choice of a single seat , which for me, as a lone traveller is also a bonus.
The quick option to change train times on the app , at a reasonable cost is another brilliant option.
