I have delt with Barnyarns Sew Centre several times and each time I have received excellent service. the last time I delt with them was when I purchased my Babylock Gloria overlock/coverlock machine. I exchanged this for my old Babylock Ovation machine and the process was quick and simple. The Gloria was a great buy and is the best Overlock machine I have ever owned.

Great day with Janet whose patient support gave me confidence not only to use my Babylock Enlighten but to understand how to overcome small ‘problems’. Thank you so much.

I dropped off 2 machines for servicing in the same day, planned a day out in Ripon as it was a near 80 mile round trip. Will is excellent. First thing he asked me was if I'd had any issues with a foot pedal, yes I had, that took me ages to resolve and Will knew of the common issue straightaway. Will has excellent knowledge and technical expertise in so many machines and I had complete confidence with leaving my machines with Will in a well run, secure and tidy workplace.
Would definitely recommend.
And a browse around Barnyarns is always a good thing.

I have had the most helpful and generous service from the sew centre. I am so happy with my new Janome sewing machine and would highly recommend them.

I took my very old sewing machine for a service, the team were so helpful and great to deal with, sadly it is beyond repair but I was not given the “hard sell” for a new one just good sound advice and time and space to consider my options. Thank you for such excellent customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend you .

Lovely people to deal with, and I felt my machine was going to be in good hands.
It was serviced very quickly but unfortunately it needed a new light bulb which took a few weeks to arrive ( no fault of the Sew Centre)
A slight hiccup when I received my machine however…..there was no foot pedal! However after a phone call to one of the lovely men at Sew Centre I received it by Royal Mail the very next morning. A genuine mistake.
I would certainly recommend the company.

Amazing service from sew centre last week. Took my bernina in with a fault and they called me within 24 hours to say it was fixed. Very reasonable charge. Everyone I dealt with was super helpful and at all times I felt my machine was in safe hands. I would recommend them.

Delightful, knowledgeable advice and customer service while deciding what machine to buy and then deciding to go ahead and purchase from Sew Centre.I’ve never felt pressure to make a decision, excellent advice with all questions answered well. Having spoken to 2 very helpful members of Sew Centre team I received my ‘new’ Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine today!! I am extremely pleased with the look of the machine and am confident I can look up any instructions etc online. The machine arrived in perfect condition and not at all damaged. Thanks to the staff for courier- ing to me and for the telephone updates to let me know progress on the journey. Recommend this company 100% for their professional approach.

What a lovely man Ben was, he explained everything in detail about the sewing machine I was interested in buying, explaining the delivery process plus talking me through the servicing of my machine in the future, I would highly recommend this family ran business, I rang 5 other major companies who sold this machine but I chose to buy from here.

Very happy with my purchase of reconditioned Janome MC500e. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, recommending products etc. I needed some additional accessories and the SewCentre sourced and arranged delivery direct to my address, taking the burden away from me. The service is second to none and would highly recommend.

I visited the sew centre and was very impressed with the service I received. Both Callum and Will could not have been more helpful in guiding me to purchase the most suitable machine to suit my requirements. Without their expertise I could well have chosen the wrong machine. I am delighted I did not buy on line.

I ordered my Bernina B435 from Sew Centre in February, and WOW - what incredible customer service. They called me to double check my order, and emailed to ask me what date would work best for me for the machine to be delivered. Top notch service and genuinely lovely people. Additionally, my new machine is EXCELLENT - such a pleasure to sew on and such a wonderful machine. Thank you so much!

Absolutely brilliant service from Will who serviced 2 of my machines.

I recently had my sewing machine serviced by Will at a retreat. He was incredibly patient, even with all the questions from the other attendees. My machine hadn't been working for a while, but thanks to Will, it's now running perfectly!

What a lovely gentleman Will is. Nothing is too much trouble. While at a retreat he serviced my sewing machine and took the overlocker back with him. He delivered the overlocker in person which I was overjoyed at. Both machines seem so much smoother when using them now. Thankyou Will for going the extra mile with the servicing…

Whilst at my sewing retreat recently, I had two sewing machines serviced.
Will is a lovely young man and very knowledgeable.
Both my machines sounded and felt so much better to sew with afterwards. I would highly recommend his services and will continue to take my machines to him from now on 😊

My wife’s Pfaff Passport 2.0 had developed an issue where the creation of buttonholes wasn’t quite as it should have been; it would miss a few stitches here and there.
After doing lots of research online to find the best, most trustworthy and highly skilled people to service it and identify the issue, we selected Barnyarns.
The service/repair enquiry was entered into Barnyarns contact field on the website and a telephone call from Barnyarns followed on the next working day. The issues were discussed with the engineer and a date was set for the machine to be dropped off at Barnyarns.
Upon handing the machine over, neither my wife nor I could have been more impressed with the way we were treated by every member of staff involved. Being able to speak directly and discuss everything with the engineers was good but it was exceptional to speak to them in the actual repair station. That kind of service is something that was the norm a number of decades ago, but today it is very rare. Seeing the area of operation just instilled even more trust.
As promised, the machine was serviced and a damaged part was replaced. The machine had otherwise been in excellent condition and was now back in that order.
Whilst in Barnyarns, my wife saw a Pfaff 5.0 on display. She had been considering upgrading for two or three weeks but she had been considering the Pfaff 635 Ambition, one of which as also on display. Time for some professional advice!
We were introduced to Callum who was extremely knowledgeable and explained the differences between each machine and their capabilities. The 5.0 was a pre-loved machine which had had very little use, confirmed by its own stored readings. The machine’s sale price was around half of its original price. It was too good an offer to miss. Before letting us part with any money, Callum insisted on it going through a full PDI check. Meanwhile we popped into Ripon for an hour or so.
Whilst in Ripon my wife received a call from Callum informing her that a small connection affecting a button or part of the digitiser needed replacing, which he would arrange to do and in turn deliver it to our home some 46 miles away at no charge.
Upon our return to Barnyarns around an hour and a half later, the engineer thoroughly explained the work he had completed and the damage to the part he had replaced on my wife’s Pfaff Passport 2.0. He also showed a piece of fabric detailing the various stitches he had produced using the machine.
As we were about to make payment for the Pfaff 5.0, I asked Callum whether Barnyarns would consider purchasing my wife’s Pfaff Passport 2.0. The engineer certified its health and Callum gave us a really honest offer, even stating that they had actually increased in price since it had been purchased by my wife. She knew that of course, as she had been figuring out costs when looking to upgrade to a Pfaff 635, but it’s not something that a typical sales person would openly disclose as Callum did. He agreed to buy the 2.0 from us and totally waived all of the costs for its service and replacement part that we had already agreed to pay. He also threw in a spool of Gütterman stretch thread that we were already purchasing anyway!
It removed the headache of trying to sell the Pfaff 2.0 privately and reduced significantly the amount we paid to acquire the Pfaff 5.0, a much superior machine to both the 2.0 and the 635.
We were so impressed by everything and everybody at Barnyarns, we will never go elsewhere. In a word, “Excellence.”
