Le véhicule a été remis en état et sans dommages mais le lendemain je vois que SbC a prélevé €72,59 sans m’avertir. 5 jours après je reçois un e-mail qui m’indique le prélèvement pour un lavage spécial, uniquement pour quelques poussières ramenées d’une randonnée sur le tapis de sol. J’ai contesté, photos à l’appui et ils ne m’ont jamais répondu. J’ai donc entamé des démarches auprès de ma banque et de l’autorité européenne de protection des consommateurs. C’est bien entendu du racket et ils espèrent que les clients ne réagissent pas. Donc, mon conseil: n’allez pas chez Sicily by Car mais si vous tombez dans le piège, faites tous les recours possibles car vous gagnerez si vous n’abandonnez pas, et peut être qu’ils arrêteront ces pratiques mafieuses.

I want to share my experience with those who will rent a car through an agency from this company.

I rented a car from this company through another agency. During vehicle pickup, I was strongly pressured to purchase additional insurance, which was quite expensive compared to the rental fee. When I refused the additional insurance, the process I went through was quite upsetting.

A paper, seemingly prepared by the company, with "No Parking" written on it, was left in front of my hotel. Then, without any call or notification, my car was removed from its location. When I inquired about this, they responded by referring to clause 6 of the contract I signed: "We are not obligated to inform you. It was written in the contract; you should have read it." They also emailed me this.

Even more shocking, although the document stated that the parking ban would begin at 09:30, the timestamp on the tow truck photo sent to me is 09:20. In other words, according to the shared document, it appears the vehicle was towed before the parking ban came into effect.

Furthermore, despite no proof being provided that my vehicle was actually towed, I was asked to pay approximately €400 in towing fees. I was not provided with any towing invoice or official document regarding this fee.

This was my experience. Therefore, I advise anyone considering renting a vehicle from this company to carefully read the contract terms and thoroughly examine the clauses regarding additional insurance and potential surcharges.

200€ da pagare in più a sorpresa allo sportello perché non accettano la carta. In fase di noleggio, la somma non è specificata da nessuna parte. Inoltre, ci danno un'auto che non corrisponde a quella scelta: né modello né tipo di rifornimento.

I recently rented a car here, and the pre-rental inspection deliberately overlooked major damage—damage we would have had to pay for, though we were extremely lucky to catch some of it on video just in time. We had to pay a lot for the damage we didn't capture on video; we did have photos of the damage, but they had to be extremely clear. We ended up paying 900 euros for a tiny bit of damage.
DO NOT USE THIS CAR COMPANY, THEY HAVE LOW PRICES BECAUSE THEY SCAM YOU.

Don't rent from this company they lie 2 weeks later and change you for damages on their vehicles. Lucky I took pictures be aware of the fraud.

Lisbon Airport: Find another car rental company. The employees in Lisbon have only one goal: to catch you in a mistake and then use force. In our case: they refused to hand over the reserved car due to formalities – and offered no alternative solution, such as a new reservation. There was only one answer: No! And the employee clearly enjoyed it. She even smiled, shook her head and chatted laughing with her colleague while watching us. And the shuttle bus didn't have seats with seat belts for everyone. One of our children had to ride without a seat belt. Worst car rental company ever!

Avoid at all costs. Even if it's cheaper, just avoid. Thank God I've taken extra insurance which covers everything, but that is not the point. The guy who checked the car knew where to point out the damage, as he quickly walked around the car and found two dots, approximately 1-2mm, on two different doors. And I'm more than sure it wasn't my damage as one of them already had signs of corrosion.
I just couldn't believe in my life experience that tiny dots could amount to 1600€. After a RUDE conversation with the manager, he managed to drop it down to 590€.
Regarding the fuel, I refilled the tank 4 minutes before the airport, which was the closest petrol station, and he tried to charge me for not having a full tank. That's just a joke. But it clearly was a full tank😃

Unfortunately, in my video, I couldn't prove that it had been there before, as without a torch and zoom, you wouldn't even see the damage.
Guys, just avoid, especially if you don't want to pay €€€€ for pre-existing damage.
If I could upload pictures, you would just laugh at what they charge.

BEWARE!!! They charged me for pre-existing damage and then invented additional damage after the return inspection

I strongly recommend avoiding Sicily by Car Malta.

I have rented dozens of cars around the world over many years and have never experienced anything like this.

Before leaving the parking lot, I recorded a complete video of the vehicle, as I always do. The rear alloy wheel already had a large dent, deep scratches, and visible deformation.

On the last day, I unfortunately suffered a tyre puncture. I replaced it with the spare wheel and informed the staff upon return. I accepted that the damaged tyre could be my responsibility.

However, the company then tried to charge me for replacing the alloy wheel, even though my video clearly shows that the wheel had exactly the same damage before I ever drove the car.

It didn’t stop there.

The following day, after the vehicle had already been taken to their workshop, they suddenly claimed they had “discovered” additional damage to the rear axle, wheel hub, and mudguard, and demanded over €2,600 in total.

I have disputed these charges because:

* I have video evidence showing the wheel damage was pre-existing.
* The additional mechanical damage was never identified during the return inspection.
* It only appeared after the vehicle left my possession.
* There are many online reviews describing very similar experiences with damage claims.

My advice to anyone renting here:

✔️ Record a full HD video of every panel, wheel, tyre, roof, windshield, and under the bumpers before leaving.
✔️ Take close-up photos of every existing scratch.
✔️ Keep every piece of documentation.
✔️ Expect that any pre-existing damage could later become your responsibility unless you can prove otherwise.

I hope my experience helps someone else avoid going through what has become an extremely stressful and expensive dispute.

Nous avons récupéré la voiture après avoir payé près du double du prix de départ sans en avoir été averti d’avance. Des frais supplémentaires non annoncé sur le site internet. En contactant le service client, nous expliquons la situation et demandons s’il est possible de modifier la réservation, ce à quoi notre opérateur nous raccroche au nez.
Je ne recommande pas cette solution à qui que ce soit.

Aucun service après vente; on nous raccroche au nez parce qu’on ne parle pas l’anglais. Pas de voiture à l’arrivée sous prétexte que nous sommes venus en retard alors qu’on a prévenu par mail de notre problème pour prendre la voiture. Aucune information pour se faire rembourser. Aucune possibilité de modifier la réservation. Le loueur refuse de nous faire une attestation certifiant que le véhicule réservé n’a pas été livré. Arnaque. Réseau à fuir.

Warning about this car rental company. The vehicles were in very poor condition. The first car had a gearbox failure, the second had no working air conditioning and a broken headlight, and in the third car the key allegedly failed.

Despite these repeated issues, I was charged €359.90 for towing and €531.00 for an alleged key damage, even though none of the problems were caused by me.

No proper evidence or report was provided. Very unprofessional and unacceptable service.

We booked a car through rentalcars.com.
We paid for it in advance and bought the full insurance.
However the rental Company (Siciliy By Car at Cagliari Airport) refused to give us a car.
All documents were provided. We offered cards for pre-authorization.
However the Sicili By Car left us without car, with two small kids, almost at night.
We were forced to borrow a car from another Company, but they couldnt provide the child seats, what put at risk the life of out kids.
We have been travelling for so many years, using your service to rent cars in dofferent countries, and it was first time the rental Company refused to lend us a car we paid for.
On their website they are lying that the rental with debit card is possible.

Esperienza pessima.

L’auto consegnata era sporca e in condizioni di usura evidenti, ben lontane dagli standard minimi che ci si aspetta da un servizio di noleggio professionale.

La situazione è peggiorata drasticamente quando, dopo appena mezza giornata di utilizzo, la frizione ha smesso completamente di funzionare a causa di un evidente guasto meccanico, lasciandomi bloccato in strada. Un veicolo in queste condizioni non avrebbe mai dovuto essere consegnato a un cliente.

L’aspetto più grave, però, è stato il comportamento dell’agenzia: nonostante il guasto fosse chiaramente riconducibile allo stato del veicolo viste le brevi tempistiche e non al mio utilizzo, mi sono stati ugualmente addebitati i relativi costi, senza alcuna assunzione di responsabilità o volontà di trovare una soluzione equa.

Oltre al disagio subito, ho riscontrato una totale mancanza di professionalità e attenzione verso il cliente. Un’esperienza che considero inaccettabile e che mi porta a sconsigliare vivamente questa agenzia.

Dopo esser atterrati a Catania mi reco al banco noleggio della Sicily by car. Effettuo il noleggio, dove mi viene indicata la politica pieno-pieno. Peccato che l’auto che mi è stata consegnata non avessi il pieno di benzina e non fosse nel posto auto indicato del parcheggio.
Alla riconsegna ho dovuto riconsegnare l’auto con un livello che non avevo ad inizio noleggio. Alla mia protesta mi hanno detto che l’auto che mi è stata consegnata era piena di carburante. Mi hanno inoltre accusato di aver fatto battutine riguardo ai danni che gli avrei fatto all’auto, cosa non vera perché avevo solo chiesto la massima copertura assicurativa per evitare di incorrere in penali legate ad eventuali danni.

Prenotato un furgone. Caricato dei miei pacchi e a metà strada si è rotto. Ho dovuto prenotare altro furgone e mi hanno fatto pagare di nuovo il noleggio prezzo pieno.

The worst car I have ever had as a rental by far. The first one I didn’t except you couldn’t see out the window for over spray and there wasn’t a hole panel on the car. His reply there all the same. Got another one, judders constantly no spare wheel or kit for punctures suspension is shot wipers are done the air con is warm 30 degrees outside sounds like there’s a wheel bearing away. But there all the same. We had to turn back today as we heading to a beach absolutely disgusting we will not be using these guys again.

1 one star only because you cannot give 0. Horrible company, first class scammers. They attract customers with very low prices. We had to wait for hours, had to sign shady paperwork before we even got to see the car. The car was very dirty, inside and outside. Damage everywhere, impossible to list everything. This tiny car with worn out tires and an unreliable clutch had nearly 110K km! We had so much stress, we wanted to cancel as soon as we got to see that wreck but they refused, were impolite and unfriendly. By then the office was full of angry customers who were being charged crazy amounts upon returning their car. We were extremely careful and hardly dared to use the car. Luckily we managed to return to the airport without breaking down. Never again!

Uns ging es genauso wie den anderen Leuten, die Renzensionen schrieben. Übergabe mittags in der Tiefgarage bei dunkler Umgebung. Niemand interessierte sich für uns und das Auto. Beim Abgeben kam dann plötzlich die Lampe raus. Und siehe da! Ein kleiner Kratzer! Irgendwo im nirgendwo. Wie haben eine Versicherung. Aber das ist nicht schön und mich wundert es, dass Versicherungen überhaupt noch diese Autovermietung annehmen. Letztendlich verdient die Autovermietung das Geld über Schäden. Eine Frechheit.

Non è la prima volta che prenoto l’auto da loro ma questa volta mi sono trovata male. Avevo prenotato e pagato per una macchina piccola (Panda,fiat 500 o simili ma comunque piccole) per un weekend di coppia in Sardegna. Non volevamo fare l’assicurazione visto che l’auto ci serviva solo per arrivare in hotel e visto i costi volevamo risparmiare qualcosa. Arrivati al banco dell’aeroporto di Cagliari dopo averci chiesto due volte se volevamo fare l’assicurazione ci danno una Pegout 2008 nuova di pacca quindi eravamo i primi ad utilizzarla. Chiaramente un auto molto più grande di quello che avevamo prenotato. Ovviamente se me lo avessero comunicato prima che l’auto era totalmente diversa da quella richiesta avrei fatto subito l’aggiunta del l’assicurazione perché noi siamo prudenti ma ci ha dato l’impressione che dandoci un auto nuova Mai usata prima in qualche modo volessero attaccarci soldi extra per graffi. Inoltre l’auto era molto sporca esternamente quindi anche per una visione accurata di eventuali danni era impossibile da vedere perché era sporca e non si vedeva nulla. Quindi ci siamo arresi e abbiamo pagato 40€ in più di assicurazione base per stare tranquilli. Ripeto : l’auto se ci fosse servita per una settimana l’avremmo presa con l’assicurazione ma per un weekend dove l’auto non l’avremmo mai usata perché avevamo l’hotel fronte spiaggia ci sembravano soldi buttati. QUINDI ACCERTATEVI PRIMA DI ARRIVARE CHE LAUTO SIA QUELLA PRENOTATA per non avere sorprese!!
