Two weeks in Namibia were to coin a phrase "Trip of a Lifetime"
Steppes had chosen our accommodation to suit our needs with very comfortable lodges and superb food. We were guided by locals who with their knowledge showed us a wide variety of African birds and animals.
The Namibian people were charming and helpful making our trip memorable.

There was a misunderstanding in the description of what exactly what was included and not included. This was due to interpretation of the phrases used. This was a very big misunderstanding that almost caused a cancellation. It was corrected, but at a financial cost to us. Once that was settled everything went just as one would expect a very professional company to perform.
Our time with the people on the ground was excellent.

Steppes team was very responsive to my questions and I appreciated the quick replies. They were well organized, ensuring I stayed well-organized with various deadlines. I loved the countdown app with the complete itinerary. They even inputed the additional travel arrangements (airline flights) I made outside of their booking.

Although we were told to arrange flights to Helsinki on our own, it was not clear until just a few weeks before the trip that we ALSO had to schedule independently the Necessary flight from Helsinki to Kittila that would meet the arranged bus.
Making that clear at the outset would have produced less of a scramble and headache.

When first looking at a possible holiday, John's enthusiasm and local knowledge of the areas we wanted to visit was mesmerising. It was wonderful to have a holiday expertly planned to fit our requirements. The holiday itself was absolutely fantastic! This is the second 'once in a lifetime' holiday I've booked through Steppes and I'll be back when I want to book the next one. Always happy to recommend them.

Steppes Travel is very responsive to all questions and concerns. The staff are cordial; they answer all questions and and solve issues promptly.
Their printed material is helpful and timely.
They make sure that you have all needed documents
for a smooth trip.

The folks at Steppes went out of the way to make sure my companion’s special diet could be accommodated. That, plus the quick and complete response to every question we had made for a fantastic and worry-free vacation.

Fab experience from start to finish. Clare at Steppes was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful and above all, patient! Lots of changes to the schedule generated by me but no bother for her. The trip itself was exactly the varied, fabulous, trouble-free adventure we wanted, staying in some wonderful places, and if we do another 'big' trip, Steppes will be my very first phone call. Everything was beautifully organised and great fun.

We had an ‘experience’which is what we were looking for. Something different and non touristy. The guides were well trained and informative and it was great having someone to meet and help us after every journey. I would definitely recommend Steppes for that special trip of a lifetime!

Roxy designed a fantastic and complex itinerary visiting 5 different locations in Brazil involving 10 internal flights over 3 weeks. I was worried it might be too much but everything went like clockwork and we had an exceptional holiday. The flights worked beautifully, the accommodation and experiences were superb. We valued Roxy’s knowledge, conviction and enthusiasm as well as her competence. We were very well looked after.

Highly organised ..

Dealing with Steppes is like making a call to a knowledgeable friend. We've primarily had contact with one person and the agreed arrangements have been spot on and worry free over a number of journeys.

Steppes aren't the cheapest company we've dealt with but they are good value and deliver reliably.

We recently travelled to Sri Lanka with Steppes. From the first phone call, Charlotte was fantastic, giving us sound and solid advice on where to go, where to stay and what to do. Our holiday was the trip of a lifetime and I couldn't fault the whole experience. I would recommend Steppes to everyone looking for an awe-inspiring holiday.

Everything went perfectly. However, it would have been nice to have had all the information a bit earlier in advance as there are a lot of things to organize when traveling, as well as the normal "day job" and it would help to have information finalized and provided so that it doesn't require last minute requests for the information to be sent.

What a wonderful country Namibia is, vast swathes of desert,sea and miles of sand, vegetation struggles for survival, wild animals have adapted to the harsh conditions, the country is magnificent, a country that is still full of surprises, no endless tourists jousting for a space! Fabulous places to stay, or camping under the stars, a little bit of heaven for everyone who is seeking an adventure, or just an amazing experience. Very well organised, and excellent guides, I felt completely relaxed without a worry. I am definitely going back, there is still so much to see. Just fantastic- holiday of a lifetime

Our adviser at Steppes put together an unbeatable itinerary for our two week holiday in Uzbekistan. Varied, fascinating, combining regular tourist haunts with some off-the-beaten track adventures. All arrangements went smoothly and we would not hesitate to use Steppes again.

Everything was top notch: the team that helped us plan our holiday, the hotels, the guides and drivers, the excursions and activities, the app that helped us keep track of everything. I would 100% use Steppes again (and plan to)!
