Nothing for a year! Nothing ever sent out, no refund and no correspondence other than trying to fob customers off. Total scammer that shouldn’t get away with it.

Thief and scammer. Never shipped my order, never responded to many many emails, and deleted my order off the website to cover up his theft. I still have email confirmations, screenshots, and bank receipts. It has been months and still no word, plus at least 50 others who have been stolen from. Please report him and his "business" to Action Fraud UK and Shopify.

I had a couple of good experieces with this seller at th beginning. Then I made a few orders that were never fulfilled. He changed his website and now he's absolutely impossible to contact. I don't think I will see my money back and certainly not the butterfly stock.

The guy is a scammer. Renamed himself to 'bugs and butterflies uk' and constantly sends out emails soliciting orders he will never fulfil.

Will make a lot of excuses if you order. Then blank you.

Go somewhere else.

Basically doesn't send what you order and then ignores you, sending automated replies with excuses of ill health, lots of time for re doing his website though 🤔.. been waiting a long time for a refund. Total fraud, stealing money.... Steer well clear!

Can only reiterate what others have said. This is either a deliberate scam and fraudulent site or the owner is ill equipped to manage the level of communications and promises he has made. I am due over £200 and have asked for a refund but with no response. Every now and then I am sent a small hopeful email that something is likely to arrive soon but it never does. Am happy to join a CCJ if other are as well

This is Bugs & Butterflies UK. He changed the company name from Stuart's Butterflies because he's scammed so many people and had loads of negative reviews - see Bugs and Butterflies UK. He will likely change his name again because again, he's getting many negative reviews from not fulfilling orders and scamming people.

I'm going to have to give this person a 1 star as I pre ordered my catapilars last year and I ordered them for around April or June, now coming to the end of August and autumn is nearly here and i always order native species so I can release them and let them add to the population, I got promised my order within a two week period and I've still not had my order, I've emailed three times to ask why it hasn't arrived yet, no response and I've not yet seen a refund, I wish I could give a better review but I can't at this time until communication and my order is forfilled but I've lost hope in getting anything from this seller now, I would suggest not going to this seller for anything right now, I'm really disappointed

Bought some eggs from this supplier in July, to arrive in July. They were discounted due to the fact they were about to go past their hatch date (I presume?) Got an email to say that Royal Mail have a code for my parcel. Kept checking the tracking with no update other than „We are waiting for the sender to drop off your parcel.“ Emailed THREE times over the span of the next month, with no responses. It is now mid-August and I have had nothing back from this seller. Will now have to open a case with my bank to hope I can get the money back.

No order received. Placed in March and its now mid Aug. Emailed a month back and he said expected dispatch in 2 weeks and nothing. Now not responding to email, if I was supplied tadpoles now they wouldn't survive. Asked for my money back and so far nothing... do not purchase!

I've waited 15 months for my order of Death Head Hawk Moths. On the very rare occasions that he does reply, there is always an excuse. Email was misplaced in spam folder, or ill health, or studies. If he is unable to carry out his business he should employ an assistant. I have purchased entomology items from around the World and this company is truly the worst.

Ordered end of May didn't receive until this week. I was promised them much sooner and upon delays no responses received whatsoever after initial order, despite trying to resolve and being promised they would be sent ASAP, they weren't then dispatched until i requested a refund after 1 month of waiting, despite the tracking being sent two weeks prior. They only gave royal mail the parcel the day after I requested a refund and suddenly. 24 hour delivery. Honestly I've never experienced such poor communication with a company in my life. Would never use again and was a real let down as was a gift. The person is now away so isn't able to look after them and I even explained this with no response. I would avoid at all costs.

Never forfilled the order and never refunded me. I have initiated a complaint with trading standards. Do any of the other people who got ripped off want to pool together abs issue CCJ. I am experienced at the court process and will be happy to take this crook down and get and get write of control to force the sale of his assets via bailiffs. I can set up a go fund me to raise the funds for the CCJ. Please supply your order number. Get in touch.

This company is a scam, DO NOT buy from them. I ordered 40 butterfly eggs in February 2024 with expected delivery in April or May. Stuart then contacted me to say they would be ready slightly later in late May. I received an email on 26th May saying the order was ready for dispatch and they gave me a Royal Mail tracking number. It is now the 19th June and the Royal Mail tracking number still shows that they have not received the package from Bugs and Butterflies. Stuart has also ignored the last three emails I have sent over the last two weeks. Checking on their Facebook, I can see other people with similar experiences so can only conclude these people are scammers. Do not order from them.

As with all the other 1 star reviews. Definitely avoid. Placed an order, received an email saying it was being prepared. Got a tracking number but it has never been delivered. No response from my many emails. He sent a bulletin to his subscribers claiming to have been in hospital.. yeah really..

Wll be raising a dispute with my bank

Received butterfly eggs. Didn't hatch. Informed company. No response. Avoid. I should of stuck to company I brought live caterpillars from before instead of trying this company offering eggs. I thought this way my daughter would get the whole life cycle.

No butterflies delivered. Had ordered to cancel. No response even though I've emailed twice. There is no number to call so I've had to raise a dispute with my bank.

Save yourself the hassle and order elsewhere.

All 20 caterpillars arrived alive and healthy!
