Beware: SwitchBot ignores 2-year Legal Warranty & S10 is unreliable
I’ve had the SwitchBot S10 for close to 2 years, and it’s been a nightmare. Here is the list of failures: plumbing kit broken, roller brush issues, leaking station, and finally, a leaking robot that had to be replaced.
Now, since March 2026, the robot is failing again (water charging issue). Even though I am in Belgium and protected by the 2-year EU legal warranty, SwitchBot support has twice refused to honor it, claiming the warranty is over. This is an illegal practice in the EU.
They are trying to charge me for repairs on a product that has never worked reliably for more than a few months. Total breach of trust. If you are in Europe, stay away—they do not respect your consumer rights.

Shocking - unit has had a critical failure not working properly and now they say there no service center in our country - not under warranty and should buy a new one!
Don’t think so !
Utterly rubbish support now left with a unit that does not work properly only just out of 1 year warranty and no service option anyway !

Kauft kein Switchbot
Ich möchte hier eine deutliche Warnung zu SwitchBot teilen, speziell zur Ersatzteilpolitik der S10‑Wasserstation.
Ich habe eine der kleinen Silikon‑Dichtungen verloren, die den Anschluss zwischen Roboter und Wasserstation abdichten. Das Teil kostet in der Herstellung ein paar Cent und ist abnehmbar – man kann es also ganz normal verlieren.
SwitchBot bezeichnet das Ganze aber als „Accessoire“ und verlangt 35 € Versand aus Hongkong für dieses winzige Ersatzteil. Keine EU‑Lager, keine realistische Versandoption, keine Möglichkeit, das Teil normal zu kaufen.
Und nein: Es war keine Garantieanfrage, ich wollte das Teil ganz regulär als Ersatzteil erwerben.
Andere Händler schaffen es, Kleinteile für 2–3 € weltweit zu verschicken. SwitchBot besteht auf 35 € Versand für ein Cent‑Bauteil.
An dem Punkt wäre es für mich tatsächlich günstiger, das Teil selbst zu 3D‑scannen und eine Silikon‑Gussform oder ein TPU‑Ersatzteil zu drucken.
Für mich ist damit klar:
SwitchBot ist als Hersteller komplett disqualifiziert. Ich kann niemandem empfehlen, dort jemals wieder etwas zu kaufen.
Wer auf verfügbare Ersatzteile angewiesen ist, sollte einen großen Bogen um diese Marke machen.
Haben seit 1,5 Jahren ein Switch Bot…
Haben seit 1,5 Jahren ein Switch Bot Lock Pro, Gerät verliert jedesmal nach ca. 10 Tagen seine Kalibrierung. Mehrere Videos, Updates, Fehlerbehebung auf Rückmeldung Support vorgenommen. Alles ohne Erfolg. Support stellt jetzt einfach die Kommunikation ein, obwohl es innerhalb der Garantiezeit/Gewährleistung ist. Kann nur abraten vom Gerät und und vom Anbieter. Ich werde wechseln und bzgl. der Ignoranz innerhalb der Gewährleistet die Verbraucherzentrale einschalten!

I'm happy to share my experience with the SwitchBot ArtFrame — overall, I'm really satisfied with it!
The delivery did take a bit longer than expected, but the package arrived safely and in perfect condition, so no complaints there. I set it up right away, hung it on the wall, and started exploring different images and artworks. The setup process was straightforward and intuitive.
What I genuinely love is how elegantly the ArtFrame fits into my home. It has a clean, minimalist look that works well in any room. I've cycled through several images already and enjoy the variety it brings to the space.
If I had one piece of constructive feedback, it would be about brightness — the display feels a bit darker than I initially expected. I understand this is likely an inherent characteristic of the E-Ink panel technology, which naturally has a lower luminance compared to traditional LCD or OLED screens. It's not a dealbreaker at all, just something worth noting.
My personal workaround has been adding a small LED lamp directed at the frame, and honestly — it looks absolutely stunning in the evening! The soft, warm light really brings the artwork to life and gives it a gallery-like feel. I'd actually recommend this to anyone who wants to get the most out of their ArtFrame display.

Bezahlt, seit Wochen keine Ware, 0 Customer Support
Habe im März einen Hub und ein Rollo bestellt. Nach Bestellung und Bezahlung tat sich erstmal nichts, 2 Wochen lang. Habe dann den Customer Service kontaktiert und als Antwort erhalten, dass ich mich gedulden müsse, ohne weitere Angabe von Gründen. Noch eine Woche später bekam ich dann eine Trackingnummer. Im Paket war dann jedoch nur der Hub, der mir ohne das Rollo nichts bringt. Von Switchbot keine Info, was das Problem ist oder wann man überhaupt mit dem Rollo rechnen könne.
Wieder Customer Service kontaktiert, aber erhalte keine Rückmeldung.
Sehr unprofessionell, fühlt sich wie ein Scam an oder eine Bude, die ist. Dazu passt, dass die SwitchBot App auch aus dem AppStore verbannt wurde.
Bestellt bitte nichts bei diesem Unternehmen, es ist eine reine Katastrophe.
SwitchBot AI Art Frame
I recently purchased two SwitchBot AI Art Frames.
I did have an initial question regarding the discount codes, took a couple of days for their customer support to reply.
Both items took about 5 days to arrive, which was ok considering where they come from.
The actual Art Frames are so good! Uses ink technology like a Kindle.
Each frame can store max 10 pictures, which can be set up as static or as a slideshow. The frame can also be positioned Portrait or Landscape.
The app is very easy to use. It has a built in Art Gallery with 100’s of Artwork you can download, or select photo’s from your phone’s camera roll.
Best part is the AI Art where you can tell the frame how you want your picture to look like!
Frames are quite pricey, but well worth the purchase. Would highly recommend.

Excellent home automation ecosystem. Truly the best of all platforms I've used. I'm also really impressed with the affordability. Currently using the automated curtains, prox sensors, motion sensors, temp/humidity sensors, and a hub!

La serrure connectée Switchbot Lock Ultra permet une installation invisible depuis l'extérieur (sans pavé numérique etc), qui se commande en Bluetooth à partir d'un téléphone maître ou d'un téléphone qui a été "invité". Beaucoup de sécurités (connexion BT invisible etc.) donc la première fois que l'invité arrive devant la porte, il faut... 6 minutes pour déverrouiller. Cerise sur le gâteau, aucun réseau Wifi n'est nécessaire.

You aren’t buying a system; you’re buying multiple headaches.
I’ve spent over £350 on the SwitchBot ecosystem (Lock, Keypad, Hub, CO2 monitor, Doorbell), and I can tell you: the "smart" part is a myth.
The moment you change your phone, the entire system collapses. Because SwitchBot lacks a unified cloud-sync for its local mesh, a new phone doesn't "inherit" your home; it treats your devices like total strangers. I am now forced into a multi-hour "re-pairing marathon" for hardware that is already physically installed and functional.
The technical failures are inexcusable for this price:
• Zero System Portability: Every single node—the lock, the keypad, the sensors—must be manually re-paired. It’s a cascading failure of UX.
• Ergonomic Nightmare: The setup requires "physical gymnastics"—standing at the door, racing against 60-second timeouts, and manipulating hardware while trying to navigate a laggy app. It is completely inaccessible for anyone with limited mobility.
• Support as a Barrier: When the pairing inevitably fails, the app doesn't help. It forces you to find and upload an invoice just to get past an error screen. I am literally holding the device I paid hundreds for, yet I’m being "interrogated" by the software just to use it.
SwitchBot is selling a premium-priced collection of individual gadgets that don’t talk to each other effectively. If you value your time or your sanity, look elsewhere.
Reliable products
I'm using a lot of switchbot products and I'm satisfied with its reliability. In case of privacy, products can be used without a cloud, which I appreciate the most.

Easy and user friendly devices
I've been using SwitchBot products since the first Kickstarter campaign for the SwitchBot curtain devic. 4-5 years after, still going strong with multiple daily uses. Its a real workhorse. Since they increased their product offer to more devices i've been using the switchbot bot, various meters, hub and water leak detector (only tested to see if it works, hopefully i won't ever hear it but good to have in case something leaks in the hotpress). Integrated some devices with Home Assistant. No connection issues etc.. so far so good!
Warning: Unusable Lock + Terrible Support – Switching Brands
Products are great when they work, but customer service is nonexistent once something breaks.
My Vision Pro Keypad died after a few months. It's been 11 days with no real help from support:
Took 4 days for a human reply, which was a generic response ignoring my issue. Requested more help—now 7 days of silence.
My door lock has been unusable for over a week. I own multiple SwitchBot devices (Hub 2, Hub 3, Lock Ultra, Lock Pro, Vision Lock Pro, x4 Curtain rollers) and used to recommend them enthusiastically. No more—I'm done buying SwitchBot and switching to other brands. Lack of support and basic care has killed any loyalty.

I’ve been using the SwitchBot Hub 3 for about 5 months now and it has completely transformed my home automation. It was incredibly easy to set up and works flawlessly with all my devices.
