Support is non existent
Man, I'm so over dealing with this company's support lately. It's like sending an email into a black hole, no one ever gets back to you. And don't even get me started on their website bot. I've tried a million times to get it to connect me with a real person, but it just keeps misunderstanding me. Seriously, it's frustrating when you just need a simple question answered. I wish they'd make it easier to actually talk to someone who can help.

I got a SwitchBot Hub Mini for Christmas. It works great and didnât make any problems. Itâs works always good, even when the distance is high and there is no direct eye contact.
Unexpected duties, but excellent resolution from Customer Service
I recently ordered a remote from SwitchBot.ca and was surprised to be hit with a 25% duty charge upon delivery. Since the site is localized for Canada, I did not expect the item to ship from Hong Kong or incur international fees.
However, after reaching out to their support team, they were very attentive and quickly offered a full refund for the duty charges. While the initial lack of transparency regarding shipping origins was frustrating, their customer service is top-notch and proactive in fixing issues.

Switchbot asked me to review their service. I am happy to do so because my experience is a positive one. I bought the SwitchBot Lock Ultra Vision Combo and it works like a charm. We have been using the lock for half a year now. Updates come regularly and are easy to install. Only critique I could have on the company is the time it takes to get a reaction if you have questions. 3 to 4 days minimum. That could be improved to really take customer satisfaction to the next level. That being said the advice given is no nonsense good advice that really helps you.

good value for your money with reasonable gen1 devices (check your needs first)
I ordered the first version of the SwitchBot Lock in 2022 for my old wooden front door to make it a little bit more smart. It had everything I needed and was with all the additional gadgets cheaper than for example Nuki with similiar gadgets. At this time I also got the Hub Mini. Later I got the Contact Sensor.
I have to admit, that with Bluetooth as the only possible connection between the Hub mini and the Lock and Contact Sensor, I'm not quite happy. I knew it, when I bought it, so I got what I ordered.
Sure I could "update" to use Matter and to a better integration to Home Assistant, but the Lock Gen1 will always be a simple Bluetooth controlled device.
Horrendous Support
Ordered 2 doorbells. 1 didnât work. No support. No answering the phone. Nothing. Canât return because you have to call them and they donât answer. Nothing in the UK. Nothing in the whole of Europe. Kit seems reasonable. After sales in the worst I have ever come accross. All automated. All rubbish.
Dishonest company and poor customer service
I ordered a smart lock for it to not turn up. I've emailed them so many times to only get one response saying it's not in stock with no real idea when it will turn up. I've sent several emails since asking for a refund but had nothing back.
Happy to take your money but clearly not interested in the customer.

Have bought several products from this company over the last few years and they've all been reliable and well supported with firmware updates. One of my go to companies for smart home stuff.
Switch k11 and service excellent
I bought a switchbot K11 last week. Couple of days after I purchased it the price reduced. I contacted the switchbot support and asked if i could cancel and reorder. Very quickly they messaged back and refunded my the extra that I paid. Its important to me good customer service so I was very impressed.
Received my K11 today. Easy to set up. Its very quiet and so far im extremely impressed with it. The smaller size is perfect for me and my rooms are quite small so it can get into the nooks and crannies.
Whenever I buy anything new I do my research and I feel ive definitely bought the right one. Would highly recommend.

AI-based service. When returning an item, they insist you pay the shipping fee (fine) but also want to charge you 9,99 ⬠on top. This is illegal in the EU and should be flagged.

They will first take weeks to provide a single response and then allow themselves weeks between every step in the support flow, all this time, you're limited time warranty is draining away. They outright lie on their product pages and then lay the blame at your feet for "misunderstanding" the information they provide, using this as justification for denying a valid warranty claim. You've been warned

I've been using switchbot tools (bot, meter, hub) for a couple of years now. I monitor environment data and I use it to switch on and off the hot water boiler in a smart way (especially during nighttime) to save on the bill.
Great, innovative products
Great products. I preordered the candle lamp and haven't been disappointed with it. Customer service replies are fairly prompt which is great (I had a slight issue with a software update) Would look to getting more Switchbot products in the future.
