They must have buyers who clearly don't know the Talbot customers. The Fabrics & style are not even close to the Talbots I avidly shopped. If Talbots wants to remain specialized they need yo hire buyers who know who their customers are. The catalog styles I have viewed look like the cheapest of China where All is made. Perhaps spend the money on higher end work rooms to get the attention Talbots was use to. For me & my friends age 45 to 65 the styles & especially the fabrics are ugly.

I wrote an online review of a tweed jacket that I ordered from Talbot’s. The quality of the item was very inferior and I wrote the review to help other shoppers avoid the same inconvenience of having to return merchandise as I encountered. My written review was very professional but Talbot’s never posted it. When I inquired on their “chat” as to the reason, they did not respond and deleted my inquiry. Strangely, a number of “over the top” positive reviews of the item were posted. It seems that Talbot’s may be fabricating positive reviews on their website while refusing Marto post honestly-written negative ones.

I've been a customer for over 25 years and the last year they've really hit lows with customer service. Not hearing your customer is when you lose customers and shut down because of competition who does hear them. Bye Talbots.

I understand sales tax on products and S& H. The product S&H was $6.25 and shipping S&H was 8.95 and S&H tax was $5.63. ??????

They didn't refund the S&H tax. Do they get to keep these taxes?

Wife said no more Talbots!

I had exhausted all efforts in finding appropriate clothes for a funeral I had to attend the following day. Just at closing I sneaked into Talbots Factory Store in Manchester, VT, where I was helped by Joyce. She had supreme people skills & knew the inventory well. Within 15 min. I walked out of the store completely set with a beautiful, versatile outfit that I can wear many times more. Joyce has, "the stuff," that all customer service reps should have. She was extremely patient, but professional at all times. I am very lucky to have found Joyce right in my time of need. She is a top-notch asset to Talbots, & deserves to be highly acknowledged! Because of Joyce, I will return to this store again & again. She is a 5-Star employee!

Talbots, I'm sure I've purchased hundreds of dollars (Maybe in the thousand mark) worth of items from your stores over the years. Your clothes were "stylish" and had a "great quality" feel to them. WHAT HAPPENED??? After the pandemic I could not wait to get back to Talbots to be dressed up again, but all I saw was Items that would be purchased by someone who lives in Walnut Grove (Little House on the Prarie)! No Thanks!!! Please, please, please hire back your previous stylist, because these cannot be the same people you have now!

Ordered 6 clothes items. They never arrived. After 3 emails requesting a reorder or refund, they just keep telling me it’s been delivered and. Must have given them the wrong address!
I’ve asked them for a proof of delivery which they cannot supply. Very disappointed. Still waiting for refund or the order to be resent.

Talbots a horrible place to work. The store manager Dawn Demotto doesn’t know what she is doing and is really bad at scheduling. I told her I couldn’t be a key holder anymore because of health issues and she cut my hour by 25 hours and is discriminating against me. I am a single mom and need the money for my kid. I am very disappointed in this job and would never recommend anyone to this company. The turn over is awful. The way this company is run makes me wonder why it is still in business. I will never shop at Talbots again. I wouldn’t recommend shopping or ever working at Talbots.

The clothes I payed for never arrived customer service they were no help

I ordered a jacket 29/10/2022 .despite numerous emails backwards and forward s l am still waiting .l have all the emails and still not got the jacket .l have at least 10 emails at this stage and still no jacket

Ordered a sweater from Talbot's Rideau Centre. The cost of shipping was added to the sweater price and came off my Mastercard. This was never explained to me otherwise I wouldn't have ordered something I wasn't sure was the right size.When I returned it, at my own expense, (return shipping is not covered), it cost me $15. Could not figure out why there was a $15 difference between the cost of the sweater and the refund. I had to pay for the shipping both ways - what I waste of $30 to get nothing in return. Don't use their shipping service if item isn't exactly what you want. Surely, the company could come up with something better than this for their regular customers who don't live in the same city as their stores.

Really awful customer service- been going to same store over 20 years and staff just ignore me/ no offers to help, can’t even say Hello. Last 4 times I have just left the store. Online shopping is not better- bought 2 items on Black Friday, got a message acknowledging order but order never went through.

Talbots was once so dependable when it came to quality and classic styling. I miss the Red Hanger sales they had twice a year. The rest of the year you paid full price...none of these constant, annoying sales going on. The sales associates in the stores look frazzled and frustrated being inundated with constant customer returns. I would be happy to pay full price if they went back to more classic styling and superior quality. And sometimes I feel like I'm in an Ann Taylor store instead of a Talbots Store. The styling of these two stores is very similar, which in my opinion is not a positive thing. Talbots always stood out on it's own for classic, timeless styling. I still purchase from Talbots but find that I return more items due to poor quality than I ever used to. That said, I do love how they match the color of their shoes and handbags to tops, pants, dresses, skirts and coats/jackets/blazers. Sad to see what used to be such a dependable brand deteriorating.

Toronto Talbots store has mostly very large and small sizes in store and no longer can order so I purchased online. To my shock UPS contacted me a few weeks later that I owe $48 in custom fees! Nowhere on the Talbot site is it made clear that Canada is considered 'International' and subject to such fees. At the store the salesperson said they get many, many similar complaints from customers. And since 2 of my 3 items didn't fit it was a waste of money for sure.

Worst customer service at the North Wales PA store.

I visited the Talbots store at North Wales PA yesterday evening. The rep looked at me and did not say a single word when I walked in. A few minutes late she put some clothing back to a rack where I was looking at some clothing (right in front of me), again no single word. When I checked out, I was hoping I would be with the other rep who appeared much nicer (has smile on her face), unfortunately when it is my turn, I needed up with the not nice rep. She did no say thank you. Just handed me the bag over the counter.

I bought clothes for work, casual, and dressy from Talbots for years. Enough of a range of styles to put together outfits for different age groups. The items were well-made overall, with some of their more expensive lines, really great quality. I am disgusted by the decline in quality. Sweaters stretch out, pill, fade, sizes inconsistent even within the same item! Example XL shirt was way too big, tried on the L-way too small. Many of these items could be hanging at Kohls, JC Penny, Target. I don't have any problem with these stores and shop there also, but I don't want to see full price items for $90 on average that should be half of that quality wise. Quit making your clothes in places where little kids are probably still working. I'd rather pay more and have your quality improve. Really sad.

The Talbots quality is getting worse and worse every season. Talbots should change the name. It’s unfair to make the bottom quality products (sweaters…) under the same name. I bought three sweaters in September 2022. Two of them look like old and worn out, faded sweaters after post purchase washing. I cannot even donate them. I haven’t washed the thirs one, because it is more summertime sweater. I understand, they might be made of recycled material, In that case, price should not be $89.50. I wish I could submit the photos. Shame on you Talbots.
