Moi aussi j'en ai une bonne à vous raconter !
Alors, je partais de Dakar à 13h de l'après-midi, ma réservation indiquait bel et bien 13h de l'aprem.
Et en fait....bah le vol a été changé en 1h du matin, sans avertissement.
Alors au retour, je les contacte par mail en leur demandant comment on peut arranger ça pour éviter un avis déplorable sur Trustpilot. Pas de réponse, bon bah ok, tant pis pour eux.
Maintenant moi j'ai pris l'habitude de regarder sur Trustpilot avant de réserver un vol, faites comme moi, vous basez pas sur le fait qu'une compagnie soit nationale ou pas, ça veut rien dire, regardez Trustpilot. Si on le fait tous, ça poussera ces compagnies à devenir moins immatures.
Eh, TAP, si je travaille comme toi, à mon travail, je me fais virer..

Missing luggage

In September '22 we went to the Azores. Arriving at our destination, our luggage was missing. We had to buy new things as the luggage arrived two days later. We have put in a claim that has been accepted. More then 9 months later we still haven't received refund. We wrote several email, but still no luck.....

1 ster is nog teveel, betaal een tientje meer en kies een andere airline. Handbagage wegen (ze staan al met het pinapparaat in de hand om passagiers bij te laten betalen), geen stoelkeuze bij inchecken, handbagage mag niet mee aan boord, 15 minuten in een bus naar de gate en vervolgens nog 10 minuten in de hitte moeten staan. This review serves as a stern warning to potential customers: Stay away from Tap Air Portugal if you value your time, money, and sanity. Allow me to recount the harrowing experience and highlight the reasons why you should avoid this company at all costs.

Delay and Lack of Support:
When my flight was delayed, it was already a frustrating start to my trip. However, what followed only intensified my frustrations. Upon arrival at my destination, I was informed that my luggage was misplaced and would not be available for at least two days. This left me in a foreign city, devoid of any personal belongings, including clothing.

Lack of Reimbursement:
Under normal circumstances, one would expect an airline to provide necessary support and compensate passengers for the inconvenience caused. However, Tap Air Portugal displayed a shocking disregard for customer satisfaction. Despite numerous attempts to seek reimbursement for the expenses I incurred in purchasing essential clothing and toiletries, I was met with bureaucratic hurdles, endless phone calls, and an outright refusal to compensate me.

Based on my terrible experience, I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of Tap Air Portugal. The company's negligence, refusal to reimburse expenses, and deplorable customer service are clear indications of their disregard for passengers' well-being and satisfaction.

Instead, I encourage you to explore alternative airlines or travel options that prioritize customer service and take responsibility for their mistakes. Do thorough research, read reviews from other travelers, and select a company that values your time and provides adequate support in case of any inconveniences.

Unpleasant service

I understand sometimes airlines allow more cabin luggage than they can later fit, although I doubt this should be acceptable, but ok. But you would normally favor the people that arrived first and are ready to board in appreciation for making the boarding faster. You do not force them to check their luggage after they have made clear it is not convenient at all for them. I had another lay over left, my last destination was at midnight and needed to carry my computer with my hands the rest of the trip because of this. I was first in line to board. She basically forced me and gave me no option. Couldn’t she had asked the last in line? She did not only ask, but unpleasantly forced the people upfront. Very nice TAP, very nice…
I travel a lot because of leaving abroad and for business… never this service.
Oh, and of course the flight was delayed.

Rubbish service overall...

I've been trying to get our money back for our flight from Amsterdam to Lisbon since februari 2023. They canceled our flight an HOUR before departure and try to give us a rebooked flight through Germany that would have taken us a whole day instead of a couple of hours. They say we had to take this, but you actually have the right to decline. Though we couldn't decline upfront because we couldn't contact anyone overthere (people at Schiphol had no time/knowledge and phone was blocked for hours). So in the end we just booked our own flight the next day.
They say it was due to weather (blue skies in both countries...).
And at Schiphol there was NO way to contact them. Their spokes persons were not informed at all... really felt quite bad for them.

TAP Airline never respects schedules and connecting flights

I booked a business class return ticket from Malaga to Newark. The first leg was one hour behind schedule and while we could have made the connecting flight, TAP rebooked us on an evening flight, 7 hours later. We had to pay for a hotel night in Newark and a new ticket for a domestic flight the next day, since missed the connecting flight to Chicago.
On the return flight, the flight left Newark one hour behind schedule and there again, while we could have made it to the connecting flight to Malaga, the ground staff was so hopeless and rude, that every passenger with a connecting flight (Malaga in my case, Milan, Rome, etc. For the other) missed it. We were literally detained at immigation.
The business class seats are anything but comfortable and the food is simply not edible.
I was attracted by the cheap price but I should have read the other reviews. This airline must be avoided at all costs.

TAP aflyser vores fly og vi er dermed berettiget til at få en kompensation. De anerkender vores ret og anmoder om vores bankoplysninger. Vi deler derefter vores bankoplysninger, så vi kan modtage kompensation. Herefter har vi ikke hørt noget efter knap 3 måneder. Vi har ikke modtaget pengene, de svarer ikke på email og dem vi få fat på i telefonen kan ikke hjælpe os og siger vi skal henvende os på email.

I have a business class ticket from LGW…

I have a business class ticket from LGW to Newark. I arrived into Porto at 1415. I was expecting to be able to go to the business lounge. However, I have been sitting outside a gate for over two hours. Various security guards and police personnel have passed and just told me to wait. I have spoken to both the security and the police. Both have advised to just wait by the gate. There are no seats, no water fountains and no one has any idea as to when the security guard will come to open the door.

The worst thing is that there is no contact here from TAP to assist. So all of us traveling on to Newark are stuck outside this horrid gate with no idea as to what is going on. This is worst business class experience of my life!

Very rude customer service desk in…

Very rude customer service desk in Lisbon!
I missed my transfer flight because of a delay in the first flight and came to the help desk at Lisbon airport. I don’t understand why you would work at a help desk if you’re so unwilling to help. The people were very mean, did not want to help, said it was my own fault and wouldn’t even let me sit on the bench in their customer service corner (they said the bench was closed???). I have never experienced such unkindness

LA COMPAGNIA PEGGIORE CON CUI ABBIA MAI VOLATO. Tornando dalle vacanze ad Agosto dell’anno scorso ci hanno fatto partire in ritardo con il primo volo. Appena atterrate scopriamo che l’aero che avremmo dovuto prendere era già partito. Ci offrono poche spiegazioni e un buono pasto sufficiente per consumare un panino al massimo. Abbiamo poi trovato una soluzione prendendo un altro volo, allungando di parecchio il viaggio. Risultato: siamo rientrate con un giorno di ritardo al lavoro, e nonostante le varie telefonate, mail e solleciti, non abbiamo ancora ricevuto il rimborso che ci spettava secondo la policy aziendale. Ovviamente costumer service inesistente. Sono ancora sconvolta per il trattamento.

Trip to Madeira in Oct. 2022

We went on a trip to Madeira in Oct. 2022 and several things went wrong:
- The flight back from Madeira was delayed so we missed our plane to Copenhagen in Lissabon and had to stay overnight in Lissabon. We got a new flight the following day but had to find and pay for hotel ourselves. We made a complaint shortly after but to this day (May 2023) we still haven't received the money promised by TAP
- One of our suitcases arrived damaged 2 days after we got home. We raised a complaint but after a lot of writing and loads of documentation the complaint was closed (accidently?) by TAP in Jan. 2023. Another complaint was created shortly after but this one is still open.

I have contacted TAP through there hotline and met several nice people but unfortunately it hasn't speeded up anything

The flight was postponed

The flight was postponed: back 5,5 hours earlier (leaving at 6) and forth (4 hours later) only landing at midnight (when having a working day afterwards). I mailed about this but totally no reaction at all. Last time I flew with TAP... Disgrace

hoe kan een mens in godsnaam nog eenvoudig een ticket boeken

eerst al heleboel fouten bij het reserveren na lang proberen naam kunnen juist zetten. Nu krijg ik mail om in te checken , lukt gewoon niet. inchecken verplicht aan balie op luchthaven geen idee waarom. Dit is de eerste en laatste keer tap air. Ben al mijn geld kwijt van de vorige boeking van Ryanair die plots niet meer via Brussel vliegt en waar ik ook geen enkele respons op krijg. Een mens zou echt weigeren om nog de vlieger te nemen.

Almost died from thirst on the flight…

Almost died from thirst on the flight from MIA To LIS. Flight was ok. Left Miami late by 45mins then was told can't land in Lisbon before 6:00am. Sounds weird. Other than that. Arrived in Lisbon and departed the plane into terminal and we were locked out from getting into the airport for 20mins. No guidance whatsoever.... Half the people went up stairs and half went straight. Both ways locked.... The service on the plane was a bit offensive. Ask for water and stewardess scoffed like I should have brought water on the plane... Food was ok. Other than that I will choose a US carrier next time.

Terrible experiance

Terrible experiance. Flight was overbooked and 10 people were denied boarding. They rearanged a new flight for us, wich was also full when we went to the check in. Than we had to stay in a hotel overniht to wait for the next option to go to Lisbon.
We received a "voucher" for 400 euro's. But there is no possible way to cash in the voucher. No help at the airport, no help on the website, no help via the telephone.
A lot of desinformation and empty promissis so far. Looks like we will never receive our compensation money.
