What an amazing experience! Friendly and polite staff. Amazing features and decor. A the little touches made you feel like royalty! The food was delicious and the staff were very knowledgeable. Our server Antonio was lovely and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Overall the price we paid was as expected for what we can. Hopefully will be able to return again in the future.

The Savoy Hotel (where my friend was spending four nights), was a let-down!

Apart from the Hostess’s genuine 5-star welcome, the service left a lot to be desired.

Despite few customers, & lots of staff circulating, at no point did any of them
come to ask if the food was satisfactory.

My poached eggs on toast arrived lukewarm.

The beautiful ‘tower’ of jams & preserves was not accompanied by any(!) serving spoons.

Polished as the waiters appeared to be, they served us from the right-hand side.
Ditto when removing our plates.

Thankfully, the beautiful surroundings
upgraded the experience…somewhat.

P.S. The ‘Flat White’ coffee was very nice.

We went for lunch at Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant. We had the most incredible meal. The staff were very attentive, polite and smiley. Tierry, manager, spent time chatting with us and Sam our waiter was incredible. They are all clearly highly trained but take joy in their jobs. An amazing experience. Thank you to the whole team. Rachel and Phill.

The fabulous Building and the loveliness of the Staff who treated us like Royalty will always be with me.
They all smile and laugh and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Because I am.disabled and really wanted to go in the Spa pool, two wonderful male staff almost carried me up the stairs so I could do it.
Their kindness was legendary.
The American Bar blew my mind I imagined being there in the days when the likes of Sinatra was performing and everyone was dressed in fabulous dazzling clothes and smoking cigarettes in long holders and wildly dancing.
I would like to thank Debra Patterson and Franck for making this the most fabulous weekend of my life x

The Savoy london, my 5th stay, from driving into the courtyard having the door opened with a wonderful welcome, luggage carried from your car, the front desk polite and efficient, room exceptionally clean, breakfast second to none is an experience on its own, well done the staff at this hotel, everything about our stay was amazingly memorable, thank you and see you again soon.

My daughter purchased an experience voucher for us for the Savoy Grill to celebrate her dad's 60th birthday which we booked Thursday 27th July. I emailed the hotel the day before requesting confirmation of the dress code but no reply. We booked directly with The Savoy and all details of the voucher were confirmed over the phone. When we arrived we were asked for the voucher details again as they were incomplete then when we sat at our table we were asked for the voucher details AGAIN by the waiter! I refused to give the voucher details a 3rd time! We were given 2 menu's the A la Carte and the set menu. I asked the waiter which menu the experience entitled us to and he confirmed either. I was unsure this was the case so checked with reception and was told if we chose anything from the A la Carte menu we would have to pay the difference. That's fine but the waiter should have advised this. Our table wasn't the best. All couples had a nice table for 2 apart from us, we were sat on a table for 4 in the middle of the restaurant so not intimate at all and felt like a spare part. Didn't feel special and made to feel like a 2nd class citizen with my voucher! My husband is left handed and every time he changed the cutlery the waiter changed it back! You'd think he might have realised at some point. The food was amazing but the experience was ruined by the service. I asked the waiter to remove the 15% service charge from the bill and he asked why so I explained. They agreed to remove the £7 bottle of water from the bill as a gesture of goodwill 🤣. Maybe Gordon Ramsay would like to know about our bad experience.

Our 2 night stay at The Savoy was AMAZING. It was our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we were upgraded to the Savoy Suite. It was the most incredible experience and we loved every second. It is just the most incredible place and I’m still buzzing. Thankyou to all the staff for making our Golden Wedding Anniversary one we will cherish forever. We will be back x. Ps please dont letpeople wear jeans and trainers not at the Savoy.

Having been to the savoy 30 years ago as a present from my parents, after the death of both of them within 10 months I felt the need to return and relive a beautiful memory. I feel the savoy has dropped the ball a little no dress codes in any bar/dining room, we attended the world famous American Bar and was sat with groups in jeans/shorts T shirts and trainers! We would not get in a nightclub dressed like that at home. the waiters jackets in some cases were ill fitting and creased. On one of our days the room was not serviced we had no dry towels or after a very hard day no milk or tea bags for a desperately needed cup of tea. The staff are very polite and cannot do enough for you and the hotel is very clean. Maybe I’m old school but I thought excellence was in the detail and unfortunately that had been lost. Maybe I will give the Savoy a miss next time and stick to the Hotels I know are still making sure the little things matter.

Savoy was recommended as one of the best high teas in London. I have guests flying in from the US and wanted to book this. On a personal level I do not do high tea due to some dietary restrictions. I emailed the savoy before booking and was told unfortunately I could not book unless I was having the high tea. I replied and said I cannot be forced to consume things I do not eat. I then got a follow on email to say the kitchen could adapt some of the tea items. I said I don’t have sugar or bread etc. The Savoy replied and said well there are other outlets….The main purpose was to bring out of town guests for the tea. Presumably the other outlets in the hotel can cater to a separate dietary requirement. A five star hotel? Absolutely ridiculous in this day and age. I am not bringing my guests to have tea in one outlet and I sit solo in another! You are not the only hotel that does high tea good as it may be it is appealing those with alternative dietary requirements cannot be accommodated so as to sit with their guests!

Thank you so much for making our mother's 70th birthday gettogether such a wonderful day. We were in the very pretty Gondoliers Room with a beautifully laid table. The hotel florists made 4 hand tied bouquets in delicate pinks that my mother was thrilled with, (having been a florist herself in the past she is quite particular about these things!) All of the staff were amazing, so attentive and friendly. From my mother's arrival to when we all left nothing was too much trouble for the team and they did everything with a smile, even with 3 under 8 year olds in our party. We used the valet parking for the first time due to rail strikes and I can highly recommend this. So easy to drive to the door and have your car parked for you, then collect and pay for the time you have stayed. I thought the price to be quite reasonable too in comparison to some other parts of London I have parked before. The doormen as with the rest of the Savoy team were very helpful and approachable. Many thanks for making my mother's birthday so special and memorable.

Always brilliant service. I like the bars. Can be a bit crowded at the weekends. But they handle it well. A little bit of class and respite from a busy city.

This is my 2nd time staying at the hotel once during covid and once over this easter. both times we have had a lovely stay all the staff are really helpful and polite. food especially breakfast is brilliant best ive had. My 8yr old loves the swimming pool and also Tony is always great with kids too. nice little touches like an easter egg for my daughter and water in our car to go home with make all the difference. if i had to say anything bad only thing was men who took bags out of car needed to take slight more care bot almost got scratched but was fine when cases went back in. Also maybe priority should be given in american bar to people who are staying in the hotel.

We wanted to celebrate something special happening in our lives so headed to the American Bar at The Savoy at 12.30pm to have a glass of champagne. We were told that the bar opens at 4.30pm. We asked if we could visit any of the other bars and were told that you had to purchase an afternoon tea to have a glass of champagne! Ludicrous. A 5 star hotel in London where you can't buy a glass of champagne at lunchtime. We went to Claridges instead. Amazing and open from 9am-1am!

Attended Savoy as a guest for afternoon Tea. Very disappointing. In entry the foyer smelt of fish, very off putting. The meal itself, yea and coffee was weak, the sandwiches were tasteless and the cakes tasted stale and again flavourless. We were initially asked about allergies but no consideration given to other illnesses, had to ask for seedless jam and even when provided was advised it wasn’t 100% seedless The best thing about the whole food were the scones. You are paying for an experience not food and I have to say the whole thing was overpriced on both counts

We came for your iconic afternoon tea on 8th March 2023. Due to rail problems we had been delayed, but called to let you know, to be told in a very curt manner we would have to still leave on our allotted time. We had travelled for 2 and a half hours to get to you, and again our first greeting on arriving at the hotel was to be told we would still need to leave at our allotted time, sorry for interrupting the conversation between the two colleagues! We were shown to our table and it was a while before we were approached with menus, decreasing our time even more. The waiter who said he would be looking after us, went through the menu, we already knew what we would like to order, but we’re left again. On his return, being time aware we gave our order but he still went through everything! Our first course was brought, along with tea, my friends ordered champagne. Tea was poured and he left, the teapot was left at the far end of the table, no easy access to replenish my cup. The tea by this time was lukewarm and even with a strainer, tea leaves were floating. When our cakes were served, the young lady was very personable and engaged with us. Although she served us tea that was cold by this time, having told her this, we were given fresh tea, which was served hot, although we now didn’t have time to drink it. The champagne glasses were cleared without asking as my friends were hoping on a second glass! Having had to repeat ourselves several times, our waiter would just disappear. As with others we were unable to finish our cakes, and asked to take them home, this was a problem too, so asked for the boxes and did it ourselves. The food was lovely, but not exceptional. The fruit in the scones was non existent, 3 raisins/sultanas maximum. We left frustrated and disappointed, having been in hospitality for the 30 years, this was not the premium service we were expecting. Not sure what the service charge was for….

Absolutely awful compared to the last time I came. Service was slow inattentive sloppy and the table and floor next to us was covered in left over food. The toilet was smeared with faeces and urine! So let down won't be back!

We were disappointed that we requested a menu not to have lamb on the meal but surprisingly I and my nephew were served with a lamb. When I brought the error to the attention of the Chef (?Lady Master Chef) she was saying it was cooked differently that maybe we liked it. I was waiting for the lady Chef to say if we want another alternative menu without lamb but was not offered. We felt it was very poor customer service. Which spoilt the occasion which we were looking forward and the meal was one of the highlight of the event. Thinking Savoy is very famous and should have feel their customers to have a great experience but for us it was very disappointing.

Started off really well but check out was horrendous!

Do not leave luggage in storage with this corrupt hotel!, on picking up my luggage I was horrified to see that security lock and Id tag had been forcibly removed and luggage obviously opened, tried to contact manager by email and phone, without success, I'll say no more on that, except why the evasivness!, well I think that speaks for itself, they have lost me as what I thought was a valued customer, obviously not!
