Came on time, well packaged, the beef….fabulous

Ordering was simple and straightforward. The range of produce was fantastic. Delivery was free and fast.

Delivery was just bad. My wife was at home waiting for the delivery. It was left of the doorstep without even a single ring.
The Australian Wagyu MB9 full blood was very disappointing ( tasty but very tough ), even compared to the F1 Ribeye that I regularly get from Meatmeathome. I have bought from you before with a much better outcome.

Fantastic quality meat at great prices what’s not to like!

This is my 4th or so order. Meat is always restaurant quality and delivered in excellent conditions, packed with ice packs to keep it chilled.

After a delivery issue with carrier Tom Hixson very quickly and efficiently rectified it and sent new delivery. I have to say was absolutely delicious beef will definitely order again! Many thanks.

Good selection of meats, and helpful friendly staff

Ordered the wagyu roasting joint for Mother’s Day and was the worst chewiest beef I’ve ever had. I slow roasted at 90°c for 3.5 hours until a core temperature of 53°c, rested for an hour and reverse seared for 10 mins at high. I get amazing results from this method from even high street supermarket beef.
We were all looking forward to this as it was sold as Wagyu but the whole family said it was too chewy. What a let down. I feel robbed.
I emailed to complain and was told that I had to cut across the grain (like it’s my fault and don’t know how to carve a joint) and…..

Very disappointed with the beef and the customer service.
This was my first experience ordering with Tom Hixson and will not be ordering again.

Disappointing. I have bought and eaten Iberico, Mangaliza and several British rare breeds. This loin was just like an average pork - quite good colour but no marbling. Cooked pink it tasted just OK. The "Pork Belly" was expensive streaky bacon without the curing, only fit for crisping up and rendering for oil. And the pork chops were again just OK, white with no iberico colour or marbling

Not even a one star. A5 Japanese steak. Arrived fully thawed very dark wine red colour didn’t even look like a wagu steak. After cooking the steak was so tough and rubbery I question if it was wagu. I have contacted Hixsons and they asked me to answer a few questions which I did. I’ve also asked for replacement or refund. As yet they have not answered that question. Not happy. I will update review as soon as they reply.

Rebecca was the first person I spoke to at Tom Hixson, she took my very first order and I’ve continued to deal with her for my orders ever since, she’s very polite, honest, helpful and efficient - a true asset to the Tom Hixson business.

I placed an order for delivery 31/12 order never arrived, wrecked my New Year day plans.
Placed another order for delivery today, did not arrived again.
Never any apology or compensation.
I'm done with them, if you order, make sure you have alternative menu ! It is time for me to try another company.

Ordered beef short rib and brisket. Great communication. Delivery was spot on . Probably the best meat I have ever eaten. Just ordered again this week . Absolutely 5star
