If your experience with Tony's has been less-than-perfect, we'd love the chance to put things right before you leave us a review.. So pop an email to mailuk@tonyschocolonely.com, and our Choco Fancare team will work their magic. Tonyâs Chocolonely is an impact company that makes chocolate, committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. And not just the cocoa in our chocolate, but in all chocolate worldwide. Tony's Chocolonely was founded in 2005 by 3 journalists from the Dutch TV show âKeuringsdienst van Waardeâ after they discovered that the worldâs largest chocolate manufacturers were buying cocoa from plantations that used illegal labor. Since then, we've dedicated our efforts to raising awareness of and eliminating inequality in the cocoa industry, becoming the #1 chocolate brand in the Netherlands. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example and show the world that chocolate can be made differently: in taste, packaging and the way we do business with cocoa farmers. Starting with paying them a higher price. Alone, weâll end exploitation in our cocoa supply chain, but together we can change the industry across the globe. That's why we invite everyone to join our commitment. 'Cause it's only together that we'll end exploitation in cocoa.

These bad reviews are not real.
This is the best chocolate Iâve tasted in years. Reminds me of my childhood. You pay more for quality. Have you brought a bar of Cadburyâs or galaxy lately ( thin and tasteless )
Tony Thankyou for your passion and making a chocolate that I cannot fault. For being ethical and highlighting slavery and child exploitation
I will not buy any other chocolate now. And if I canât afford it one month I go without.
I expected a rich flavoursome chocolate because of the high price . I was extremely disappointed- thereâs not enough cocoa/ chocolate flavour and itâs too sweet . Wonât buy again and the way itâs divided in the pack is pointless and irritating. What a waste of money. Back to Lindt.
Honestly I donât get what the hate is about, the chocolate is definitely phenomenal and the mission is too, though the only reason I didnât give this a 5/5 was because of the new sea salt Carmel flavor. The chocolate itself was good but the salt was WAY to overpowering in the chocolate, most chocolate I canât stop eating when i open it, but this one, by the end of the bar I was not looking forward to finishing it. It wasnât much of a sea salt flavor, more of a salt flavor and a STRONG one to the point where it made me feel nauseous after one peice. Other than that, the milk chocolate bar is incredible and I think the chocolate itself is good, and I would definitely buy the milk chocolate again, good job!
Je bestelt custom made. Belofte volgende werkdag geleverd. We zijn inmiddels vier werkdagen verder en ze geven niet thuis. Als je daar nog chocolade van kan maken...
Very disappointed wirh this chocolate received it as afreebie.
Its a lot of chocolate for a 180g bar and comes up as quite chunky thick.
I'm use to eating salted licorice but this left a very salty after taste and i binned the rest.
Wouldn't recommnend
I have previously bought a bar of Tony's milk chocolate, which was nice, although the irregular shape/size pieces are a nightmare to break up. (And yes, I know they're doing it to try to raise ethical awareness).
I bought myself a bar of the hazelnut chocolate as a treat (from Amazon), but when it arrived, it was covered in white bloom, had obviously melted at some point, and had holes in it that go all the way through the bar! Definitely not a treat, and all I can say is that I'm glad it was for me, and not a gift, as I wouldn't have found out until after I had gifted it.
I looked at the return/refund option, and it says that it's not available. I then looked at the Tony Chocolonely store page, and again, no mention of refunds/replacements.
There ARE however many photos of products that arrived in a similar condition to mine, so it's obviously not a rarity. I just wish I had looked at the review pictures before I purchased it.
I would love to add a photo here, so you can see the state of it, but I can't see that there's an option to be able to do that. I will however be leaving a negative review/photo on Amazon to add to their growing collection.
Last, but definitely not least, it seems next to impossible to contact them judging by the customer services reviews that have been left here previously.
Although I will try to contact them, I don't know if I will get a response.
This is not cheap chocolate, and it's taken more than one of the big size chunks out of my budget, to say I'm not happy is an understatement.
If you have read this far, thanks, and remember "buyer beware".
I swear to God these bad reviews are paid reviews by the competition. IT HAS to be. Even Hershies that tastes like dirt and stovers that tastes like cardboard with sugar have better reviews. Are you kidding me? Lmao. Honestly it's VERY hard to find good chocolate in USA. Lindt and Tony's are the only ones that I can consume. And Tony's, it's not only consumable, it has the BEST chocolate flavor. It's rich, it's more like a truffle flavor, which makes the flavor even richer... and really deep milky chocolate exuberance I get from eating their chocolate is insane.. I just can't even begin to say. It's on the same level as hand made chocolates made in Belgium, honestly, I like it even better. It's my go to chocolate bar. TONY'S, PLEASE pls never stop making your wonderful chocolate. AND PLEASE do NOT change it either. Thank you for your absolutely fantastic chocolate.
I find it so funny to read the one and two star reviews. Tony's Chocolonely Is up there for me with Ritter Sport. Being a self confessed Chocoholic. Iâve tasted Cadburyâs, Galaxy, Milka, and letâs not forget Hersheys. Which is THE worst chocolate bar on the planet. Milka was great chocolate before it was bought out. Same for Cadburys. Galaxy is still okay. But the two best chocolate bars for me are Tony's Chocolonely and Ritter Sport. Anything else is just bang average.
I decided to try the chocolate eggs, longing for the rich, authentic flavour of the ones I enjoyed as a child. So many chocolate brands these days taste very sugary. These eggs, however, exceeded my expectations. Not only are they delicious, but they also great quality and ethical sourcing.
Really poor quality. Tastes more like cheap advent calendar chocolate. Cool packaging but expensive rubbish.
Tasty chocolate, mainly have had the milk chocolate version and it is very smooth. Price slightly on the higher side compared to Cadbury, so usually only buy it when on offer.
Faire Produktion. Megaaa lecker und sehr hÃŒbsch verpackt usw
Easter egg is not an egg but an odd flat thing - very disappointing and feels like a rip off . Have bought many bars of TC before but this has really put me off âŠ. I will return to Green and Blacks
The name Chocolonely, you may they had mispelt Chocoloney which would be a fun name bringing joy.
As a matter of fact, the company intended to use the word 'lonely' to highlight the misery the coco industry reeks on the communities it exploits.
Yes indeed, the name is designed to make you miserable.
My child cried when he got a bar of this for his birthday, he's been having a hard time at school recently. When he opened this present, it opened the emotional wound in his heart. So yes you may be promoting ethical industry practices, but you are simultaneously spreading misery to children in the countries you supply.
P.S the product is as pathetic as it's name.
My partner and I bought 2 bars for the first time yesterday. 1x milk chocolate and hazelnut and 1x nougat milk almond, For the price we were expecting better, taste is of cheap bars from Lidl, will not be purchasing ever again. Will stick to Cadbury
Massive rip off. Over priced with little actual chocolate in a massive packet. Wife was laughing at the "non" egg shape.
Feel really stupid to have bought it for the name. Avoid!
I saw a tv program before Easter where they were testing chocolate eggs and supposedly ranking on taste. Tonyâs Belgian chocolate came in first place above Lindt. All I can say is their tastebuds must be used to processed rubbish.
Iâm a big fan of quality chocolate, and having never heard it or tried Tonyâs, and went and bought some. I wish Iâd read the back of the packaging first.
To be call itself Belgian chocolate itâs supposed to have a minimum of 35% cocoa mass. Tonyâs doesnât have the taste or richness of Belgian chocolate - it tastes like a budget supermarket value packaged product. Reading the packaging explains why⊠main ingredient is sugar! Next on the list is milk powder. Milk solids only account for 21%.
Disappointing, overpriced, sugar filled rubbish. The only positive was the packaging which was all recyclable.
Disappointing shape. Chocolate wasnât fresh due to lack of packaging. Expensive for what it was. I hope they take this feedback on board.
