United Carpets & Beds - Ripley レビュー 

We visited the store in Ripley on the Monday morning desperately needing a new carpet to be fitted on the Wednesday, in time for the delivery of a new bed on the Thursday. They were brilliant and rescued us in time.

The saga below goes on, 3 months on. We're no further forward with our complaint. We spent over £1000 with United Carpets and are still waiting for the issue to be resolved - buyers beware!. We had a carpet fitted at the beginning of December. It looked absolutely aweful, there were creases and excessive wear where we sit. The fitter came back a week later to re-stretch it. He advised that it couldn't be done, it's a rubbish carpet and needs to come up. The shop Manager came out to look at it in January and said the same. Now the manufacturer wants to come and look at it. It's been over 6 weeks now. Our contract is with United Carpets not the manufacturer - we should have received a refund by now, its disgusting!

The lady in the shop was brilliant and helped me get the right lino. It was the fitter I had a big problem with he constantly moaned about the lino being to thick and in 40 years he had never taken a door off to fit lino!! Which I find hard to believe..I offered to do it so with lots of grumbles he did but never tried to put yhem back on saying it wilth have to be shaved off the bottoms he also broke the bath panel with he told me about when he walked out the house so I was left with out a bathroom door I put themback on myself like I said never he never tried He was so grumpy I was to scared to report him Sorry but will not be returning to your shops he was awful

Terrible!

2) Poor communication
3) No respect
What was promised was not delivered.
I tried several times to sort by visiting the store and by phone on numerous occasions. Every time they said it would be sorted a.s.a.p and there was an excuse and apology for the wait every time. Eventually I gave up.
I wasted several months waiting!

I have used a better company since then - TAPI CARPETS. They are alot more professional, efficient, and cheaper.
They also have the interest free option.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
From start to finish the service was poor, first ringing and asking if I wanted to cancel the order a week before it was supposed to be fitted which I had obviously said that was incorrect, he assured me the carpets were ready to go so they weren’t sure why I’d requested to cancel.
3 days before carpets were due to be fitted they rang to say my living room carpet hadn’t arrived there for they could fit the rest of the house but now had to wait an extra 2 weeks just for the lounge.
When the fitters came they dragged the carpet out the van and put their shoes in the centre of the carpet to stand on it and fold it!! Trampled dirt through my house.
In the main bedroom I moved all the furniture out and asked if they needed me to take my bed down which they said no they knew how to work round it so not to worry; they then leant my bed frame up against my wall and dragged the bed down the wall causing scrape marks and have put a hole through my plaster board, spikes still sticking up out the carpet on the landing.
They left the house an absolute mess!!!!!
I have reported this to the shop on 3 occasions over the last week and a half to which I was told they were dealing with it, i then ring today and they say it isn’t there problem because the fitters are self employed. My living room carpet is due to be fitted Monday and they have told me to have it out face to face with the fitter when he comes back despite me saying he made me uncomfortable!!
Absolutely avoid !!!!!
