Great service from start to finish
The whole experience was more than satisfactory from ordering to fitting. The salesman was knowledgeable and didn’t try to talk us into a more expensive carpet. The guy who came out to measure was very polite and informative. The fitters were like the chuckle brothers very amusing but they were also very professional. The job was completed in good time and the carpet looks great. Highly recommend United Carpets.

Great range misleading prices
Carpet cut off range great on ticket said fitting free but to get that you had to buy underlay. The carpet fitter was excellent and the carpet quality was too

Great installation. Shame about the joining seam
Polite installers. Very quick and no fuss. Paid so there was no visible seam on 2 bits of carpet but unfortunately it's very much visible. Will be going into shop to get this corrected

I am very happy with my flooring. The price was reasonable. All the staff were very helpful and polite. The floor fitters provided good service as well. Highly recommended and 5 stars given!

We love our carpet and Lino but…
We love our carpet and Lino!
There was some miscommunication with what we were supposed to do with our treads due to having a runner on the stairs. We were not told that we had to cut these down ourselves. When I rang, I was greeted with a slightly rude shop assistant who bluntly said “it’s on your documents,” documents that we were not given. I had to then ask how to cut these down as I assumed that this would either be done for us, or us remove them and then the fitters put these back down. This wasn’t possible from the shop’s perspective so there were some treads that were out of measurement as we didn’t know what to do from the poorly explained instructions.
When the fitters came, they were great, efficient and thorough. However, we asked for a black bracket for the top, these were unseen due to them having to be ordered in and there were no examples of such brackets to hold the carpet to the top of the stairs where the lino was. This bracket had a lip and was therefore a tripping hazard. Unfortunately the fitters then could not fit the, already paid for, bracket. This was not great on the shop’s behalf.
Overall, we love the quality of our carpet and lino, just the odd incident that let it down.

Not the best experience
The fitter turned up unaware that I'd requested that he assesses my existing floorboards to see if i needed ply board before the laminate is fitted. Due to not being made aware of this, he was unable to fit my laminate on the allotted day. This meant that I wasted a day booked off work and the fitter lost out on a days pay (as self employed).
Anyway, there seems to be a sizeable communication vacuum between the shop assistants and the fitters.

We have always bought our floor covering from United Carpets. Very professional, honest, down to earth, personable. Customers are not pounced upon the minute they walk through the door. One is allowed to browse at leisure.

Good carpets, but the fitter rushed and I have a lumpy carpet with air underneath, its not straight or stuck to the floor
