To clarify, Voices.com offers a free guest membership which allows users to create a profile, upload unlimited demos, and receive private invitations to jobs. This is designed to help aspiring voice talent build a presence on the platform without any upfront cost.

Our premium membership, which does have a fee, provides talent with additional benefits such as daily job opportunities that match their profile and skill set, sent directly to them. Many find that this membership is a highly efficient way to access more auditions and increase their chances of booking work.

We take the security and privacy of our users very seriously and comply with all data protection regulations. Sensitive information is collected only as needed and stored securely.

I completely understand how frustrating it can feel when auditions aren’t listened to. It’s important to know that clients can stop reviewing submissions at any point. For instance, if they find the perfect voice early on, they may not continue listening to additional auditions.

However, auditions that haven’t been listened to yet may still get reviewed. Sometimes, clients leave jobs unreviewed for a few weeks—or even months—before returning to move forward with their project. If a job is still in “Deciding” status, it means the client hasn’t made a final decision yet and may still plan to review submissions. To avoid missing out on opportunities, we recommend keeping jobs in “Deciding” for a couple of months before archiving them.

To make the best use of your time, we suggest focusing on the jobs you’re most excited about first. You can also use the Sort feature to prioritize jobs with the “least number of responses,” which can help increase the chances of your audition being heard.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry you feel this way regarding our Platform Fee.

We announced changes to the Platform Fee across a variety of customer-facing channels in early September prior to the changes coming into effect in October.

We’ve also updated our Talent Membership page to reflect the change to the Platform Fee, we’ve updated our How it Works page for clients to outline the new Processing Fee, and we’ve made changes to our Terms of Service, our FAQ articles (Platform Fee, Processing Fee), and provided on-platform explanations and resources for both clients and talent to explain the fees themselves.

To be clear, for talent this change means that in addition to talent membership fees (with the exception of our free Guest membership), the 20% Platform Fee would shift from being charged to clients when hiring talent, to talent when auditioning for jobs (calculated against the amount they quote to the client).

Additionally, as referenced earlier, we introduced a 3% Processing Fee that would be charged to clients when hiring talent or making additional payments on our platform. This means that approximately 23% of each transaction on our platform is paid to Voices.com, which is consistent with other online talent marketplaces.

Both clients and talent see these fees when hiring talent and responding to jobs, respectively. For an example of how these fees are calculated in more detail, we encourage you to review our Platform Fee FAQ article and this Q&A blog post.

One way to offset the impact of this change is by increasing your client quote. We've done the research and found that clients are willing to pay more for quality talent, and historical data shows that clients frequently go over their original budget. Most jobs at Voices are won by talent who quote above the midpoint of a budget range or higher.

We're glad to hear you love your voice actor and our service. Just to let you know, Voices actually offers an option to decide whether an audition is required or not when rehiring the same talent.

On the last page of the job form you have the option to select if an audition is required or not.

The reason the job had to be reposted is that the client made changes to the job details that directly impact our VoiceMatch™ algorithm. This system uses the information in the job description to accurately match Talent whose profiles share the same characteristics.

To maintain the integrity of this matching process and ensure the best fit, a new posting was necessary. You always have the option to send a private invite to any Talent you're interested in working with.

Additionally, we have thoroughly reviewed the Talent’s audition submission and the final delivered files. We can confirm that they were submitted by the same individual, ensuring consistency in the work delivered.
