This is about MyWaitrose loyalty scheme. They have made a few improvements but it is still by far the worst. I receive vouchers each week, based on my recent shopping records. If the item is not available when I shop, the voucher is wasted as it can’t be used for anything else. If it’s for something I don’t need, it’s also wasted. Upshot is that I often can’t use the vouchers I receive. I really don’t understand why they can’t just give money-off vouchers, it would be so much more welcome and easier for everyone. The present scheme discourages me from going to Waitrose, where I used to do most of my shopping.

I went to Waitrose as is close to my work. I wanted 2 mother's day cards and 2 birthday cards. Most of the mother's day cards had mum on them instead of mother. Nearly all of them had dogs on. Utterly unimaginative and lazy assuming everyone likes dogs. They don't.

Waitrose seem to have a system problem with Favourites listed on an account when placing an on line order. For years up til today, when placing our weekly food order for delivery, you press favourites and then press 'Frequently bought'. All the regular weekly items ordered would appear. It made it easy to put together a full order. Now a lot are not appearing . Through trial and error, I found some of the missing 'frequently bought' items now appearing at the end as you start to pay, as forgotten options !! It makes placing a regular order frustrating and time consuming!!

Who delivers bread with 1 day left to expiration date?
£5 for what?
Called store and they said that they can’t help…

Waitrose Greenwich yesterday afternoon. Very poor customer service. Service counter was unmanned but after about 5 mins the most miserable assistant I’ve ever encountered turned up and I was able to collect my parcel. However she refused to let me pay for ONE item I wanted to purchase, remarking that I would need to go and queue again at the till. Needless to say I left my item with her

Waitrose holiday policy is a joke. My mother has to book 12-18 months in advance for a holiday.

Are the managers doing anything but sitting on there arse! 62 and can’t take a holiday with her son in four months time!

This is a horrendous company who can’t hire enough staff to cover just a simple holiday through out the company.

Waitrose, Botley Road, Oxford: Fish/meat counter regularly un staffed, despite loads of staff floating around or chatting.
Today, after a wait with no-one serving, I went to front desk and the dark-haired girl usually only on self checkouts was there and told me to go wait by the counter and someone would come - when I explained I'd already been waiting there 10 mins she just walked away to help someone else!
After another 5 minutes I had to interrupt a couple of staff who were chatting a few feet from the counter and one of them went and got the necessary staff member.
All too regular occurrence in this store.

why are we constantly subjected to idiotic adverts that are just mind numbingly aggravating is this company just so far up their rear end that they think these adverts are attention grabbing, mean it was bad enough that idiotic advert with Keira knightly so unattractive it makes you wanna vomit alongside with that thing that looks like something from the hills have eyes now we have another idiotic advert with a dude coming down from space mean heck who thinks these adverts up hey Waitrose FYI your adverts suck

Haven’t shopped here for a while and probably won’t for a while. Staff indifferent apart from the older lady in the cafe who is downright rude.

I have been using their grocery delivery along with Ocado and Sainsbury's for years. Whilst Sainsbury’s and Ocado seem to have no problem delivering their goods Waitrose has an about ten percent “can’t deliver” rate. The delivery is ticked off as done on their app never mind that no attempt had been made. According to the customer service they tick this off automatically independent of actual delivery. Bit pointless really. They then claim
That they couldn’t find parking and had left a message( untrue) which is interesting given that Ocado and Amazon were all happy to deliver at the same time. I understand that things sometimes go wrong but to claim patently untrue issues and not offering any solution other than refunding the shop one day later simply isn’t good enough. Shame as I like their produce but can’t waste my time trying to resolve basic issues.

Appalling delivery service. Paid £4 for 1 hour slot, 9-10 am on a Sunday. Delivery over £140. Driver did not send the required advance text with driver name and van registration. Driver did not phone. Driver arrived on doorstep at 8.30 am. I was in the bath. In bathrobe at door I asked driver time of booked delivery and he said 8.55 and lied and pretended it was 8.55 as I stood there! Asked for ID he refused. Took photo of van in rain in bathrobe. Sad to see how far you’ve fallen, Waitrose.

Waitrose Jesmond delivery was appalling - if this is Ubers fault it’s time you changed your courier. Delayed 4-5 times, overcharged for items missing and items over priced. Nightmare sorting it all out. Terrible service

Abandoned on Valentines Day my daughter and I decided to opt for a Valentine Meal Deal and chose Waitrose thinking that the food might be special.
What a mistake. Not being carnivores we chose the Salmon en Croute as the main dish. Well it was definitely Croute but Salmon probably stretched the imagination. There were probably four minuscule pieces of Salmon with smear of bechamel sauce. The dauphinoise potatoes were ok fairly tasteless but I guess that ready meals are generally bland. A bottle of Prosecco, priced up before the event and not as nice as Waitrose own brand at half the price. Altogether a very disappointing experience and one that I will not be rushing to repeat.

Pre booked Valentines meal and they substituted all the main elements, what's the point in booking if they are going to sell the prior day, which was their excuse. Poor!

IT glitch on online shopping order.Should have been delivered at 8-9pm.Message on App saying it would be 10.59-11.30pm.
Having established with driver that no one was ill, injured,it was clearly an IT fault.The poor man had received a message that he would be on duty until 1am!
Waitrose are very lucky to have such personable and polite staff.

Paid £25 for very tough steak for valentine's meal not impressed

On the 11 February 26 at 17:00 I visited Waitrose in St Neots. This turned out to be my worst to Waitrose in my life which made me very angry.

I wanted to get a No.1 meal deal the one that is normally on all year round for £15. So I chose a main course, a side dish and a dessert. When I got to the checkout, the meal deal offer didn’t apply. 😡 I go onto my iPhone to check Waitrose.com and it was showing the meal deal on there. So I spoke to a member of staff who contacted another member of staff to go and check the chiller area. They came back to me saying they couldn’t see the offer. So I said why does it still say on the bottom shelf “starter or dessert” of which they didn’t answer. I asked has this all year round offer been removed because the Valentine offer of £25 and they said it probably has. I immediately thought what a scam to bribing customers to spend more money. 😡 I have never seen this happen before. All other major supermarkets are still doing their all year round offer at the same time as the Valentines offer. I then proved that the £15 meal deal offer was still being advertised on Waitrose.com. So they let me have the 3 No.1 meal deal price offer.

Then I paid for my shopping and I needed a receipt. Things then get even worse. 😡 This till wouldn’t print a receipt even though there was paper still on roll. So I called for assistance again who opened the dispenser and pulled the paper through, went to reprint and still wouldn’t print. She tried 3 times and it still wouldn’t work. She called another member of staff who also tried 3 times who also couldn’t make it work. I said I needed a receipt for 2 pacific items on my purchase. I then asked for those 2 items to be refunded and purchased again so I could get a receipt. So we went to another till which then got even more worse because the till froze. So that wouldn’t work. We then went to another till which finally did work including printing a receipt.

All this palaver at Waitrose St Neots on the one visit waisted an extra quarter of an hour of mine. It has certainly made me rethink about visiting Waitrose again also because how the are now trying to bribe more money off customers. Four days later before writing this review, I checked on Waitrose.com and it is still showing the No.1 meal deal at £15.

I wanted seeded grapes and checked with the assistant if they were because they did not have seedless on teh packet. the assistant said they were seeded. I found that this was complete lie. I like nature food not man tempered food has we are getting sicker due to making a mess with food.
After complaining I got the most rediculous response I have ever read. It said that Kind Charles the III said that seedless grapes are good.
I look to the creator who created our food. I am not a sheep who follow just because someone told you somethings. That is willful ignorance. For those who have their eyes wide shut. I wonder who said it was okay to put chemicals in our food, so we eat them and get sick and then medicate our sickness, so we eat from one chemical factory to another. Great for business though eh waitroses

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Plastic melted into their new food range, unauthorised accessing your account by staff and they raise prices on items already ordered before delivery. Making you call 4x and breaking promises to call you back, ignoring emails. 72 hours to speak to a manager for an urgent problem with an order for delivery the next day! I was shocked, I never realised theit customer service was SO BAD compared to Sainsbury and Tesco.

Terrible experience waiting for a home delivery that never arrived and was marked as delivered. When I questioned it I was told the delivery driver waited around for 45 minutes and telephoned . I didn’t receive any phone calls. They then stated that there was a digit missing in my telephone contact details. Also impossible, oh and then they heard a cracking noice on the line.
After many years, I now won’t be using Waitrose. They have problems with stock and almost out of date food.
